I ordered me some relief crocs and both boys some disney crocs. I will have to send the 4yo's back I think but the 8yo they seem to fit. I will keep mine but I am definitely not in love with them the way everyone else here seems to be :confused3 . I hope by tomorrow I will be use to them and find them benificial but I wore them to Walmart today to test them out. I just had pain in my feet from one spot to another. One time the ball of my foot would hurt, another time the arch would hurt, another time the heal would hurt. It was crazy. I do see where you all can say they are comfortable, but I am not so sure they will do me any good at disney. I am hoping I will "break them in" and eventually love them but I am not holding my breath.:headache:

WOW, really!!! I have THREE pairs and find all of them really comfy. BUT BUT I will add that I would not wear them all day at WDW walking and walking. For WDW, I wear a very good (cross-trainer) sneaker.

For every day wear (around the house, running errands) all winter I wear my Mammoth's and all summer I wear my Beach's!!!

That is why I ordered the Relief Crocs. They are supposed to be for people with foot issues. If it continues, I will go back to wearing my sneaker. They were a lot of support compaired to crocs and I think that might be part of the problem. They are just so different I hope I get used to them but it is not what I was expecting that is for sure.

I am going to try to keep wearing them and see how it goes. I WANT to be able to wear them at disney and love them like everyone else does! But I will be sure to take my regular sneakers with me.

You are not alone! Don't feel bad.

Quite possibly the most uncomfortable footwear I have ever worn! I was willing to look past the not so attractive style/look if they had been comfortable but luckily they weren't so I took them back!

And be VERY careful if you let your children wear them as Croc Corp. has issued warnings regarding the dangers of their shoes regarding escalators, moving sidewalks and children. Many reports worldwide of severed toes and injured feet because the tread of the crocs gets stuck in the machinery.

I don't see the attraction to these at all. Get a great pair of Sketchers! They look great, but the comfort of them far surpasses it. I always wear them to Disney and have never had a blister, sore feet, or any problem. Good luck!

I am in the minority in the view of crocs on this post! I LOVE MY CROCS! I have very bad feet problems and for a long time I thought sneakers were the only thing for me. When I worked retail I would wear DANSKO's and that is all that I can wear for comfort. But for Disney I would try my CROCS one day and I fell in love! I tried my sneakers and my KEENs and neither one of them compared to the comfort of CROCS. Now I only pack one pair of shoes, the CROCS! Try them for a little bit longer. Like with any shoe, you gotta give it some time.

Another can't wear crocs comfortably person here- I get issues with my ankles turning in/arches of my foot and they just seem to exasperate that issue.

I'm looking at keens as my water friendly footwear for Disney.

I bought my first pair....the Beach, or Caymen can't remember...just the basic ones. I LOVED them!!

Sooooo....I thought, wow, these are good, the Relief must be great!!

Nope. The Relief hurt my feet. They were stiff, the footbed was slightly hardened, if that makes sense.

I still love my original ones, but the Relief I can NOT wear at all.

Weird.

I thought it was just me.

I have a pair of crocs in my closet that I wore one time and found them so uncomfortable they have never been worn again! I wish I would have sent them back.

I have narrow long feet and it does seem they are made for wider feet. My kids are on their second pair and love them. Who knows!

That's me too. I tried on a few different kinds of Crocs, and they do not fit my feet-way too short on one size (with my second toe sticking out of the shoe), yet way too wide for the next size up (walking right out of them when I'd step).

OP, Crocs simply don't work for everyone, sorry you're one of us! :)

Sorry to get OT here, but in my opinion, the complaints about crocs and escalators are in the same boat with the parents complaining that the infant seats fall off the table. All the warnings in the world don't make up for a little common sense!
I, as a responsible parent, supervise my children on an escalator. I assist them in stepping off, and don't let them ride it all the way to the end. That is dangerous no matter what kind of shoe you are wearing!
Anyway, OP, sorry you are having problems! I have really wide, flat feet, and crocs have been my lifesaver at the parks. I hope you find something that works!

Crocs aren't really my thing either, it's not that they're uncomfortable or hurt my feet it's just that I prefer my tennis shoes. Now my kids absolutely love theirs and I love the fact that I can tell my 1 1/2 year old to go get her shoes and she does and puts them on too!:cool1: I also got a pair for my 87 year old grandpa who had no idea what the heck a croc was but has terrible foot/balance problems and he absolutely loves them and wears them everyday, he says he feels very stable and secure in them. He feels that they grip the floor well and comfortably accomodate his feet when they are swollen which is very often.

I am so sorry about your experience with crocs --
I loved my first pair -- loved, loved, loved them so much I ordered a second pair online. Same size, same type....but when I got them, they were definitely NOT the same. They were tighter, shorter, and the material was much stiffer. Totally uncomfortable. I couldn't figure out the difference, since my first pair were wonderful....until, I turned them over. The uncomfortable ones were "made in china" -- the comfy ones were "made in canada". After doing more research, I found other people who had been very disappointed in the crocs that were made in china. Unfortunately, if you order online, there isn't always a bottom sole view that you can see where they're manufactured. Because of this, I always buy my crocs (I've gotten 2 more pairs since falling in love with my first ones) in the stores, so i can see where they're made. Just fyi: I have found crocs to be very comfy as long as their made in colorado, canada or mexico. So far, only the china ones are bad.
This probably doesn't help the OP much (sorry for your experience) but maybe it will help newbies choose the most comfy crocs.

Yep. No more dangerous than the scores of kids I see getting on/off escalators with untied shoelaces . . ..

I too hope you (OP) find something that works well for you!

then i would go to a doc...you might have serious foot issues

I would not be running to a doctor because Croc's are uncomfortable. It's OK to just not like them. I LOVE Privo shoes, and I do not love Croc's. My sis is the opposite. People have difrferent feet. Medical intervention is not necessary.

The sizes run strange, and I think a lot of people wear them much too big, and that may be why they get caught. My son's pre-school banned them, but it was because they were falling off - kids were running right out of them when they played outside. They had a few kids twist ankles and scrape up their feet. The banned flip flops for the same reason.

yea, I have to agree. They had the same warnings about children's shoe laces getting caught in the escalators a few years back. Any shoe can get stuck in those things. You just have to be very careful around them.

I'm not the biggest crocs fan either. I do like them, but can't wear them for too long. My feet get too sweaty in them and they get slippery. I don't have that problem in any other shoe, so it's kind of weird. I don't have crazy sweaty feet or anything:rotfl2: , but for some reason my feet just can't breath in the plastic/rubber stuff in those. I also get blisters from them whenever I wear them for extended periods of time. They are great for quick throwing on to get the mail.

NOT JUST CROCS. IT can happen with sneakers or flip flops too. I've seen it with my own eyes (my friend was wearing sneakers and the end of the toe got stuck in between the stairs on the escalator).

I wore them all day today too. I was upstairs organizing and cleaning the bathroom and my feet hurt. I figured I am just going to have to go back to my sneaker if my feet were hurting just standing there. I decided to wait it out. I don't know how long it takes for them to mold to your foot, but I wore them out side a bit today and they are not so bad now. I am still not sure if I will like them to wear all day at Disney or not though. Also they ARE the ones made in China. maybe if they were made in Canada they would be better:confused3 . The 4yo's seem way to small. I guess I will have to send them back but I think the 8yo's are ok.
