I got married & went on a Disneymoon & all I got was a BABY! BABY BEAN IS HERE!! PICS

Jenn -- I'm a lurker on your trip reports. I only "know" you thru your trip reports but I feel you are a very special person with wonderful friends and family. I was so sorry to hear your news - I'm sure it was a shock to you. Knowing this far in advance will give you time to prepare and work with your doctors to come up with a plan. Just know you have a lot of people you don't even know wishing you and your family the best. The good news is you're having a sweet baby boy! Take care.

You take all the time you need Jenn.

In the meantime, I will be keeping you all in my prayers

My DF and his brother were both born with a clubbed foot. Today his brother has a few issues with his knee, but he leads a very active normal life. My fiance only walks with the TINSIEST limp, I call it his pimp swag.:lmao: He works out with me all the time, kicks my butt most of the time. Heck, he has to slow down for me to keep up with him all the time! A lot of his baby pictures have in him a cast to correct it, but by the time he was old enough to walk, he was!

My prayers go out to you and your newest addition!:grouphug:

So sorry to hear Jenn. I wish I had something more comforting to say, but just know that we're all here supporting you and thinking of/praying for you and your whole family!

Hi, another lurker here but I've happily followed your reports for a while! I just wanted to encourage you and offer some hope regarding your sweet baby's foot! My dear friend gave birth to a baby with a club foot 13 years ago. This little girl had two surgeries and some physical therapy. She was told she would eventually walk but would never run like other kids. A little over a year ago, that little girl (now a teen) ran her first half marathon! She is a star of her track team and is faster than most boys her age. My friend just prayed and held on to hope that God had the final say in her outcome, not the doctors. I know everyone's story is different but when we face difficult things that cause fear, it can be helpful to hear that our worst fears don't always have the final say. Praying and hoping for the best for you and your family!

Jenn, you have a beautiful family and will soon have another wonderful addition. I will keep your son in my prayers as will many others on the disboards. Please take all the time you need and please let us know if we can help in anyway.

Hi guys, THANK YOU all so so sooo much! I am still taking it all in, and Star put it best, I am"grieving". I feel selfish for going through that process when I have friends that are having or had fertility issues and would kill for this opportunity, but I am. Until I get the genetic tests back I will be a big mess, but even then I'll be worried. I am a mom though, so it's what we do, we worry!

With all this said, I am going to try and post an update today/night.. don't kill me if I dont though!

In the meantime check out this blog post from the Roots!

Hang in there. It is tough going through all this. Just lean on your supports. The dis family can get you through also!!!!! Sending prayers and pixie dust your way.

Hey, I'm a lurker on your report. But wanted to say (a.) Congratulations on your pregnancy! and (b.) The care for babies with club feet has come SUCH a long way. My friend's son was born with a club foot and he wore a brace for the first year of his life (no surgeries) and the second year of his life he had to wear the brace at night only, and now, at two, you would not know that he was born with a club foot. He is an active, happy little boy with two perfect feet.

I'm a lurker here but I want to let you know my son is 4 months old and was born with clubbed feet. He has had serial casting since he was 2 weeks old, he was casted for about 6 weeks and then he got his boots with the bars. He is in them now for 23 hours a day. He has to do that for 3 months and we are ending month 2. Then its just at night until he's 3. If I can give you any advice it would be to get a doctor that does the ponsetti method of treatment. It has the best success rate. If you have ay questions about my clubbed foot journey this far please feel free to send me a message.

Thank you guys so much! especially the personal stories. I know it's not easy o share that info, and Bob was not thrilled that I put it out on a social network... but I'm dealing with it the best I can, and your stories TRULY gave me hope. I feel like an awful human being to care so much about something that seems so easily treatable, but as you know, you NEVER want to hear bad news about your baby. Especially your baby that you can't even see or touch yet. I'm especially nervous about the genetic screening, and won't have those results until next Thursday at the earliest... SO, keep on with the positive vibes, prayers, and pixie dust, I'll take it, and it truly does help me through!
