I got married & went on a Disneymoon & all I got was a BABY! BABY BEAN IS HERE!! PICS

I love the pic of Jack and Donald at CM. ::yes::::yes:: So flippin' cute!! The last time we were there was with you guys a couple of years back. I sorta want to go back again.....

You guys looked so awesome in your pirate make up. pirate:pirate:

Hey all, thanks for sticking with me! No baby bean yet, but I'm not technically due until 10/24, so that isn't much of a surprise. Although, I swore the whole time I was going to go early, so stay tuned!

However, I do have some very sad and bad news. Last Monday 10/7, my Uncle Peter took his own life. My grandmother was at my house babysitting my kids while Bob and I ran out for last minute baby bean stuff, and an alone dinner. While she was here, my uncle took his life at her house. He had serious addiction issues and bi-polar, amongst other depression issues. He attempted in August to do the same thing, but reached out for help. Previous to that I had gotten a call while on our 2008 September WDW trip that he had tried then as well, fortunately then, my grandmother was home and checked on him, and realized something was wrong. He had been saying he was going to do it for some time now, and Monday he succeeded. To say life has been a roller coaster since then is an understatement. Throw in that she found him, followed by me, well.

My uncle raised me when my dad wasn't around, and he was always the FUN person. He was gay and every bit flamboyant when trying to make me laugh. Sadly we have not talked much over the past year or 2, despite him staying with my grandma on and off, who lives down the street. He didn't even come to our wedding, which was kind of my final straw. I regret now not making more of an effort, but know that aside from actually taking him in, and paying for him to live, there wasn't much that I could have done to change this awful situation. I guess I wish I had spoken to him one last time though :/

Obviously all sorts of thoughts, regrets, guilt and sadness are running through my mind, but part of me is also relieved. I deal with extreme depression issues as well, and have been where he was. I get what he did. I just hope in the end it really was what he wanted, and that he has found the peace or calmness he so sorely was seeking. I'm not overly religious, so I have no real feelings in that regard, so I'm just left confused as to what happens after, and if he really is happy now...or is he just not alive anymore and nothing happens. I'm sure everyone has those thoughts.

Anywho, I am sorry for the lack of replies and no updates, but seeing as it is just my family, and my gram who live in this area, I was busy making all oft he arrangements and helping grandma through everything until her other sons could come and help.... not that they did much. I think it was good that I did it all though, kept me distracted.

With all of this said, I do want to do an update to distract me some more! I also want to throw in something magical, we are in the double digits! 92 days til we are back home! and boy do I need it more than ever!

Anywho, if you have loved ones struggling with depression, hug them. Let them know they are loved. Be firm with them, don't enable them their whole lives then wonder why they don't know what reality is. My uncle led a rough life, and so much may have helped him, but I guess no one knows what someones real limits are until it's to late. At the very least, mend broken relationships, if for no other reason than to just say hey, I don't like whats going on, but i do love you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Praying for peace, comfort, and healing for your family.

After what can only be described as an awesome experience at Pirates League, it was time to meet up with our bestest Disney family Jophia! They had been at Mk for a while now, and excited to see how we looked! We were excited to check out New Fantasyland! Along the way a photopass photographer loved that we did PL as a family and took a gazillion pics of us..give or take a few million :)

SEE, a GAZILLION! It was a really fun way to start our trip! Who doesn't love being fussed over in WDW?I hate attention and even I was into it!

Once that was done, we headed to the hot spot New fantasyland and decided we needed a bite to eat!

All Bob wanted all year was the pork shank! So into Gastons Tavern we went! By this time, Jophia were ready for a snack too. My first impression wasn't blown away, but after ordering and heading into the dining room, I was stoked!

I don't recall exactly, but we ordered a pork shank, which was DELISH! The kids had hummus and chips, and I think a fruit cup? We also ordered Le Fou's brew in a souvenir cup for ourselves and one for Jophia! I didn't love it, but i liked it, and actually looking forward to sip or two on our next trip. Def worth trying once!

Please note, that my kids already had gotten sick of their pirate garb and were looking a hot mess lol! I guess it was about the experience in the first place..right?

After this it was time to ride some rides! Bob was jonsing to ride the new little mermaid ride, so that is where we headed!

OK, and now here is my opinion.... while I think it was beautifully themed and great for little princesses, all I could think was REALLY? This is what all the hype was about? It was fun to look at and a good time waster, but did nothing for me! I'm not sure what I expected, but in my opinion it was the Nemo ride themed to Little Mermaid. Good for young toddlers though, which Is what that section is about I suppose. Bob however thought it was awesome!

Afterwards, i took some pics of the construction going on..which I'm sure looks much nicer now (PRAYING Snow White is ready by january...)

Continued in next post...

Your photopass pics with all the pirate garb came out so cute.

Kayla looks so pretty :goodvibes

I had heard Little Mermaid ride was just like Nemo, but still excited to see something new :)

Next up was time to enter the beautifully themed Storybook Circus!

Jack wanted to ride the barnstormer or whatever it is called now, great goofini? Jophia and i looked at the wait time, and decided oh heck no ! So Bob took one for the team and waited! I think it was the longest wait we had the whole trip. We just kind of hung around until we decided to ride the Dumbo ride! Sadly, I did not get a great look inside the new tent :/ What I did see looked neat!

Sophia and I sat together and for some reason we could NOT work our dumbo lol!

Bob must have been done by then and had the camera, because he got some shots of us :)

Meanwhile, this was going on....

All I could think when I got done Dumbo was REALLY Bob?? You let them play in the water after we had our make up done lol!

But they loved it! Photopass must of been there as well!

According to Sophias TR, we also rode the Pooh ride earlier, and as she pointed out, Kayla started an OBSESSION with the stuffed animals there that she calls Puffs. They look like a ball of the character. By the end of the trip, I think they had collected all of them between her and Jack... Amongst a yeti one!

Anywho, once done in New Fantasy land, it was already time to eat again! and we had a very special invitation to be a guest!

Honestly, the menu did not appeal to me, but I wanted to eat in that beautiful palace badly!

We had an early ADR, 4:30 I believe. Upon entering, I was blown away at how beautifully themed it was! That part did not disappoint! I was also excited for Sophia! She ADORES beast, and was so excited to eat here, and see him!

As luck would have it, we were seated in the west wing, which was creepy and awesome! LOVED the dark theming and bonus features like the rose in the glass, and beasts picture turning from him as a man into a beast! It was very well thought out!

I started with the french onion soup, which was BLAH. No flavor at all! Kayla had the other soup.. potato leek I believe? It was equally underwhelming. I can't recall what everyone else had. But I was not happy with the start of our meal.

During our meal Beast came through the room, in one big sweep, and then left! Sophias heart was a flutter!

Note, being in the west wing = hard to take pics! It is VERY dark in there, so unless you are a camera pro, then don't expect fabu pics :)

next up was our meals.

I ordered the steak, Kayla got the pork chop, Bob had the ratatouille , and I have no idea what jack had... sorry.

Bob LOVED his, Kayla and I again, not so much! While the atmosphere is gorgeous and fun, the food, wow. I couldn't get past it. They put so much thought into everything but their menu it seemed. God, I'd pay more if it meant better food! With that said, it was a fun meal with great friends. Had I been less tired, i may have made a better situation out of it. I have no want to go back though, and it is not on my adr list for next trip for a sit down.

After dinner came the dessert, again, blech.

The real highlight was yet to come though! A perk of eating at BOG is getting to meet the man himself, BEAST! I appreciate them doing that! He really is a fun guy to meet!

Even better, we could use our PP+ for pics!

Where you meet Beast is a very cool area, and that part was quite enjoyable. I liked that i didn't feel rushed, and Idk if that is always the case, but we got plenty of interaction with him, and loads of pictures!

Continued in next post....

reserving this spot.... have to run for work, sorry!

OK, well, I have NO clue what we did that night! No notes, and no pics, other than PP, which is what i will post! I'm sorry! It seems Jophia went to watch MESP, however, we did not..not sure why? exhaustion?? Yeah, lets go with that! BUT, we did ride Buzz and space mountain!Space mountain however was closed..BOO! Come to think of it, it closed down quite a few times during our trip! Lame!

After riding buzz, we must have parted ways with Jophia and Space Mountain was back up and running!

bob with his borrowed family <3

On our way out we took advantage of our PP and got a pic :)

Do we look exhausted or what? and that must be what we were, because I have no clue what we did after this! Whatever the case may be, our honeymoon was off to a great start, despite the little spat we had gotten into earlier in the day :) Reason #365749020488574673 I love Bob, I asked him what our fight was about, and he said, what fight??? Bonus to being married to someone with ADHD is their poor memoir at times, and ability to forget a bad situation almost instantly... too bad for him i'm not like that !

Up next: another word for family!

Jen, we've talked on FB, and you know how sorry I am to hear about your Uncle. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm with Bob...I LOVED Mermaid. It is exactly what I expected it would be/should be for that area.

Love the photos of you and Sophia on Dumbo...very cute (you look like sisters). Too funny that Bob let the kids play in the water after having gotten all that make-up done.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your food at BOG. I've eaten there three times and each time I've had the French Onion Soup and it has been outstanding. I've liked my entree immensely two of the three times (the third time it was my own fault for ordering something I knew wouldn't wow me).

Can't wait to read more.

BOG does look gorgeous in pics, but like you ,menu does not look that appetizing to me. Bummer the food was not great. Glad you got some good pics with Beast at least :goodvibes

Cute pics in Dumbo and with the kids playing in water:)

First, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is a very difficult time for you. I'm always here if you need me.

Ok, now for the fun stuff. OMG, I LOVE the pictures of us on Dumbo. I am so stealing them. :goodvibes:rotfl2: And holy crap, I had no clue my hair was that long.

I enjoyed the Little Mermaid ride. It was a lot like Nemo though and that was a bit disappointing, but I don't actually know what I expected it to be like. I still want to know what the heck happened to our PP pics that we took outside of the ride though. :confused3

I still can't get over how long Jack and Bob waited in that line. It was insane! I agree it was the longest line of the trip!

I remember how badly Jack wanted his make up off while we were at Gaston's. That crap wasn't easy to remove if I remember correctly. :upsidedow. I remember how excited you guys were about your pirate league experience. It sounded like so much fun!!

I really don't remember much about our dinner at BOG. I mostly remember getting some time with my boyfriend, Beast. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc He's so handsome............

I'm so sorry for your loss as well

On a positive note, I can't wait for baby bean!!!! I miss the littleness of it all.

I have to say THANK YOU! I swear I'm the only person I know who was disappointed in the little mermaid ride!

I love your dumbo pics!

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle! My condolences and know my thoughts are with you.
On to vacation stuff :) you guys got so many wonderful photo pass pics! Love the pirate photoshoot! The pics Bob grabbed of you guys on Dumbo are adorable too! You both look so happy! Bummer about BOG! I want to try it so bad just to see it and for the cupcakes and grey stuff which I hear is delicious (pun intended lol). I'm just not that psyched about the rest of the menu! Although, I have heard good things about the pork chop. Maybe they'll listen to guest feedback and do a revamp sometime. :confused3

I was sad to read about your uncle. Condolences to you and your family. I'm sure this must be really hard on your grandmother.

Dh and I were not excited with either our lunch or dinner at BOG. Overpriced and inadequate size servings. We were so hungry after dinner that we went and got cinnamon rolls. The best thing we had was the onion soup.

Oct. 24 is one week away, so any time now is fine! Can't wait to hear the baby bean has arrived.

So sorry for your loss!! We are all hear for you...great listeners!

Good luck on the birth of baby bean!

I agree with you the LM ride is a lot like Nemo!

Sorry you had a bad experience at BOG. When I was there the service wasn't the best but the food was great! Loved it and the best cupcake I ever had...yummmy!!

I enjoyed the Little Mermaid ride. It was a lot like Nemo though and that was a bit disappointing, but I don't actually know what I expected it to be like. I still want to know what the heck happened to our PP pics that we took outside of the ride though. :confused3
you and me both, cause I don't remember taking any! :rotfl:
I still can't get over how long Jack and Bob waited in that line. It was insane! I agree it was the longest line of the trip!
yeah..Bob doesn't have a fond memory of that lol

I remember how badly Jack wanted his make up off while we were at Gaston's. That crap wasn't easy to remove if I remember correctly. :upsidedow. I remember how excited you guys were about your pirate league experience. It sounded like so much fun!!
please.. he had make ups for days it seemed!

I really don't remember much about our dinner at BOG. I mostly remember getting some time with my boyfriend, Beast. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc He's so handsome............
ahahahhaa.. i don't think you loved the food there, but i could be wrong!

I'm so sorry for your loss as well

Again, idk what I expected but I just wasn't wowed.... maybe with baby bean I'll feel different?

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle! My condolences and know my thoughts are with you.

Thank you very much!
I was quite pleased with the PP pics! I'm hoping to get more great ones next year! Can you believe I forgot to ask for the grey stuff! DOH!! So bummed! I'm wondering if they will change the menu as often as they change CRT?

I was sad to read about your uncle. Condolences to you and your family. I'm sure this must be really hard on your grandmother.
thank you. It has been OK so far, but my uncle that came in from California for everything left today, and i think it hit her like a ton of bricks :( Hoping shes able to stay positive, and I will have my kids there often to keep her happy!

Dh and I were not excited with either our lunch or dinner at BOG. Overpriced and inadequate size servings. We were so hungry after dinner that we went and got cinnamon rolls. The best thing we had was the onion soup.
I think I had enough food, just didn't enjoy it :/

Oct. 24 is one week away, so any time now is fine! Can't wait to hear the baby bean has arrived.
I'm sort of in pain right now... maybe tonight? who knows lol

So sorry for your loss!! We are all hear for you...great listeners!
Thank you!
Good luck on the birth of baby bean!
double thank you..scared!!

I agree with you the LM ride is a lot like Nemo!
which isn't bad..just done already :/

Sorry you had a bad experience at BOG. When I was there the service wasn't the best but the food was great! Loved it and the best cupcake I ever had...yummmy!!
the service wasn't out of this world from what I recall either. Which I found extremely odd with it being such a new place... disappointing all around :/

So sorry to hear about your uncle, things must be a little hectic now :(

But on an upside, Disney!! Bahah, of course the kids went to play in the water after getting their make up done! Love the pictures, and props to bob for waiting for barnstormer! I actually do like that ride, but won't wait for it.

The little puffs are so cute! Like, legit, I kinda want all of them, I definitely debated a few Pooh character ones!

Sucks that you didn't enjoy BOG as much. Having done lunch and dinner I really do like the food, and in Sept they had just added a rack of lamb to the dinner menu, and it was beyond amazing! Maybe it'll be better next time lol! I do think the place is gorgeous though, and really nice to be able to meet the Beast!

So sorry to hear about your uncle, things must be a little hectic now :(
thanks so much! and yes..lifes been nuts since it happened..this is the first week it settled, and it's hitting many of us :/

I like the ride as well, but agree, do not want to wait for it..especially that day!

The little puffs are so cute! Like, legit, I kinda want all of them, I definitely debated a few Pooh character ones!
I agree.. I must or I wouldn't have let them get all the ones they got..right?

Sucks that you didn't enjoy BOG as much. Having done lunch and dinner I really do like the food, and in Sept they had just added a rack of lamb to the dinner menu, and it was beyond amazing! Oh, yeah, I hate lamb. But agreed, its so pretty inside!

Day two..technically 3, started off with a family favorite with family favorites Jophia! But first, we had bags at the front lobby from the wonderful and thoughtful Beka and Kyle! She had gifts for my kids, and wedding gifts for Bob and I! She is a Diser with a heart of gold, and just all around good person. At the time was she was living in Orlando, and has sadly moved since, which bums me out that we wont see her on our next trip! Luckily we did meet on this trip, but more on that later! In the mean time, heres the sweet swag she had picked up for us over the months leading to our trip!

Did I mention how much I loved PP+ yet??? Cause I did! LOVED not having to pay $30 for these pics!

OK, now I know my memory is poor, and I have excused myself for that, but here is where my memory is clear as day, and that is with the service! HEdoublehockeysticks was going on that morning???

I recall Sophia asking several times for refills, and I believe chicken sausage..or something. Whatever it was, maybe decaf coffee (soph, help me out here) and the waitress was just not on it! Now I have said it before and I'l say it again, I like the place, but I have had bad service one to many times!

One cool thing I remember is that they have a "light" breakfast! Which had chicken sausage, egg whites..and uhm.. fruit or something? I forget, but it was yummy from what I tasted, and fit the bill for Sophias WW points!

I do always appreciate the character interaction here, and fun stuff they have going on for the kids throughout breakfast! Another fun fact, we were seated at the same table we had for breakfast and dinner in 2011! Don't ask me how I remember that!

The rest of the breakfast was yummy, though I feel like they get cheap with the waffles! HELLO, Mickey waffles are the yummiest, leave me the bowl!

But you didn't come to read my words! You want pictures! Again, I sucked this trip, and no food porn. ugh. But I'll share what I do have!

and that is all I have of that breakfast!

No for some reason, the worse part if the trip happened...I say this light heartedly, but we decided we needed to go OFF PROPERTY! Something i had never done before, and do not plan on doing again, ever! Sadly, bob needed abreva, because his annual Disney vacation cold sore decided to show up! WTH???No lie, he hadn't had one since our last Disney trip?? We have no clue why it happened, and he was SOOOO bummed, poor guy! and shamefully, we decided jack needed a stroller... so I thought I would buy a cheap one.

yeah, I was that mom, the one that puts her 20 year old in a stroller. he had been SO miserable the day before, that I didn't know what else to do. ( Funny part,we NEVER used it! He must have just needed to adjust to all the walking!) Jophia also needed some items, and we had car pooled with them. I'm not sure what else we all got, but mission abreva was done, and bob felt better about that!

We climbed back into Jophias truck and we were on our way to DHS!

Our first mission as is it always is, was to get to TSMM! We rode a couple of times. Joe and Bob had a fierce but friendly competition going on! Soph and I rode together, and the kids rode together, though we had to lie about jacks age the second time around .Kayla apparently is old enough to pay ADULT prices at 12, but not old enough to sit on a ride in the SAME car alone with her brother, unless he was 7..he was almost 7 by the trip, so I told him to lie. I know, I know, bad mom, but i was SO PEEVED. My dd is old enough to pay out the rear, but can't sit on a ride with her brother???? GET REAL! Disney needs to take a look at that system! Anywho, we got on and we enjoyed! It is my favorite ride!

After this it was time to hit up some character meet and greet at AOA! Love this pot for character meetings! More importantly, we were getting to ready to meet one of our new favorites! You got it, Wreck it Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz! Idk bout yall, but we ADORE this movie! It is by far one of my favorite Disney movies of all times! It hit my generational heart like a ton of bricks!

Sadly the PP photographer got not so great shots, and I didn't give them my camera. Boo!

We also got the pleasure of meeting Bob and Joes favorites Frozone and Mr.Incredible! this was another fun meet and greet!

this pic is one of my favorites form the trip, and one I will be printing for our Disney collection!

After this it was time for a FIRST for my family and I, which was the character drawing class! OMG, I loved it! I don't have a pic of our character from that day, But i do have this neat finished product from our entire trip! Clearly we LOVED it and kept going back!

Once that was done I did a bit of shopping and bought some cool old fashioned post cards to frame for our future baby! HA! Who knew that future baby would be made a day or two later!!! I still haven't even framed those yet!

OK, I want to continue, but seeing as I am just about 40 weeks pregnant, my back is killing me from sitting as long as I have!

Next up: a surprisingly yummy snack spot, more friendly competition, and dinner in another country!
