I just got a convertable from April 7 to April 15th for $366 out the door! The best I had seen before that was $550 to 600. I rented it from Alamo. WooHoo my hair will be blowing in the breeze with the top down:cool1::cool2:

I used Contract I.D. 7014627 and then I found a $25.00 off for a week coupon on the Alamo web site. I did not pay attention to the cost of other cars. It was a huge savings from everyone else for a convertable.

7014627 is a Costco code, most reports for this code are that you most likely will be asked to show your Costco membership card and that Kiosks will direct you to an agent to assist you with your reservation (and to confirm you are a cardholder).

Not being a Costco member invalidates your ability to use this code and if requested and you are not a member, you're reservation will either be denied or re-rated at the counter rate (much, much higher).

For what it's worth I am a Costco member and have rented with Alamo using costco code probably close to 10 times and not once have I ever been asked to show membership. I always use Kiosk and then head straight to garage and show drivers licence on way out.

Ditto that, I use it all the time at Alamo and have never been asked.

That being said, if you have the entertainment card, the discounts are usually the same, and they also have a $30 off a five day rental of ANY SIZE vehicle. Just go to the entertainment website. AGain, I have never been asked to show that card either....

The kiosk will not direct one to the counter when using the Costco code. THe kiosk will allow the check in. If they wish to validate the membership they will ask at the garage exit booth. It is very unlikely that they will ask for proof of membership at MCO. Not impossible, but unlikely.

The only drawback of the Entertainment contract ID is that it doesn't include an extra driver like the Costco or Wal-mart codes. However, I think Entertainment has far better coupons in 2010 than Costco does.

You can sometimes use the Costco/Walmart booking code in conjunction with the Entertainment discount coupon.

Correct. We always use the Wal-mart contract ID along with an Entertainment coupon. Just wich they would make it easier and have the Entertainment contract ID include a free extra driver.

Thanks a lot! Those codes got me a rate of $126 total for a compact car from April 2 through April 11.

I am a Costco member, and it makes me a little crazy that everyone can use their codes.

Oh, well, who cares I guess.
