But we can't use it. :( We are going on our first Disney Cruise instead this year! LOL :bounce:

The card we got was for $139 at the AKL. It's been over 2 years since we've gotten one. I was so excited thinking that since I had been on the cruise pages that maybe it was a special rate for the cruises, but no luck. $139 is a heck of a deal , though. Maybe they ARE trying to drum up business! If you haven't gotten a post card for a while, don't give up hope.

I got the same postcard and called immediately. I was willing to take anything I could get in June. There was no availibility for any of June. The very nice man (CRO) told me that there had been several offers like this in the last two months and all the rooms were gone. He did offer a water view or savannah view for the same % off but that would have added many $$ and I couldn't justify it since I'm going in April already.
I am somewhat upset with these postcard offers. I have decided that they offer these low rates on the standard rooms as a way to get you to take a more expensive room when the standard isn't available.

YangYang, I sure hope that isn't the case as everybody knows the 'Bait and switch' is illegal!

There is no rhyme or reason as to how Disney sends out those postcards. Today I or should I say "we" received 2 postcards. Both were for moderate resorts. BUT......one was addressed to my dh and one was addressed to me.

The one addressed to my dh was for a moderate starting at $84 and the one addressed to me was for a moderate starting at $94, so what's the deal here, it kinda reminds me of telemarketing, the computer just spits out a number, but in this case would it be an address? Well, gee I don't know since both of these cards were sent to the same address.

I'm insulted that my dh gets $10 off more than me (LOL:D :D :D ). Don't even try to figure it out. They also both have different phone numbers to call as well as different discount codes. Go figure:confused:

I also received 2 postcards in 2 days. Both were for moderates at $94/night. Unfortunately, I am waiting on the August discounts. I can add abother bit of info to the mystery of who receives postcards. One of the cards misspelled my last name in a major way! The only other time I've seen my name spelled that way was last year when I received my confirmation from CRO. I had to call them to correct the spelling.

I swear the code that they sent me is on Mousesavers, so it can't be a "Postcard" rate. I was just soooo excited to get another postcard after all these years!!!

I will say, the postoffice mangled the card. It was sent in a plastic mailer saying that they handle so much mail that "these things sometimes happen." Doesn't the postoffice's attourney know that this is an admission of guilt and you should never admit guilt? LOL I thought it was pretty funny.

I do see that someone else got a card for $10 less than the card I got.

We just got our second postcard in a week, also. The one today was to my husband and required a pin. It's for moderates for $84, but when I called, the rate for deluxes was no better than any other codes on mousesavers. I was hoping we really had something special here! Oh well, we really can't afford to go again anyway!

I got a postcard yesterday. It was for $129 at AKL. It has the yellow highlighted PIN.
I can't use it anyway. We're going in August.
I wonder why mine was for $129 and idontknow's was for $139.

BTW, I got this postcard at work. Four years ago I made ressies using my work address because it was a birthday gift for my wife. I haven't used that address since. I started getting postcards here about 18 months ago. I have never received a postcard at home.

Well, unfortuantely I don't think those of us who received the postcard are "special". I was very excited upon receiving my $139 AKL offer yesterday. I happened to get on the offical Disney site last night to check on Hilton Head seasons. Well, up popped a window offering Deluxes for $134, Moderates for $94 & Values for $74. Come to think of it, I remember seeing a similar offer in the travel section of the Washington Post on Sunday. Bottom line is: I don't think this is the type of "postcard" we all hope to receive - these rates are available to just about anyone.

Is that $134 for any Deluxe or just for the AKL? I went to the official site to try to get this pop-up, but I didn't have any luck.

I think the post card I got, like the others, are just promotional mail, I think the PIN # required cards are the real postcard discounts we always hear about and salivate after.....
