I have never even heard of a merchandise card but I got one for my trip later this month and we are going to use it!

The options are
$500 for $395
$600 for $445
$1000 for $695

and it has no expiration!

Sorry if I am telling you guys all about this and you already knew everything about them but I have never heard of them so we are excited!

Is it only for merchandise? Souvineers? Or can you use this on your food or resort fees? Backstage tours?

Fine Print on email:

The Credit may only be used towards the purchase of merchandise items at participating merchandise locations that are owned and operated by the owners of the Walt Disney World Resort. The Credit cannot be used towards the payment of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel room night or reservation or a Disney Cruise Line® reservation, aboard Disney Cruise Line®, or towards the purchase of any food and beverage items, spa services and products, personal services such as face painting, hair braiding, hair wrapping, recreation activities, tours, Disney Gift Cards or Disney Dollars.

So basically just souvenirs.

That's really cool! I can only hope one of those offers hits my inbox.

Sure, it is an okay discount. But you still have to spend your money. And, yes, that is a lot of souvenirs!

Do you usually spent that much money on merchandise? I certainly do not!

Ok I know I am slow on the uptake do the numbers above mean you spend $500 on lodging and/or tickets and you get a $395 merchandise card, spend $1000 and you get $695 merchandise credit? So if you spend say $3000 on merchandise and tickets you would get $2085 in merchandise credit? Or do they limit it ... OR am I way off? Like I said slow on the uptake today! :upsidedow

I took it to mean that you would receive a $500 merchandise card for the cost of $395. A $600 card for the cost of $445. A $1000 for $695.

Yeah that is a lot of souvenirs, however if there is no expiration, than it isn't limited to one trip. Kinda hoping the Disney PIN fairy visits my inbox.....

Right Jeanigor that makes sense and now I remember that this offer was made last year too I believe. Like I said slow on the uptake (must be all the rain in Maine these days making my brain mush). I couldn't figure out why Disney would offer such huge merchandise credits dependent upon how much one spent on lodging and tickets. LOL Now I get it (shoulda had a V8)

that is how I took it as well- and I might come close to spending $400.......and if you buy a watch or other more expensive collectibles, you could hit the higher numbers easily! of course we all know disney merchandise is lacking some lately too.....:rotfl::confused3

That's a slightly over 20% discount for pre-paying $500 for merchandise. That's a lot to dish out for that small of a discount IMO.
