I got a free upgrade cat 6 to cat 4..How did I do that?

Cathy from DU just e-mailed me and told me that for my Sept.8 cruise, I have been upgraded to a cat. 4 cabin # 8508. I immediately went to Dave's site (thanks Dave) to make sure that nothing funky was goin on with the verranda....it looks good, it is still see through and unobstructed. How did I manage this one??? Has anyone ever stayed in this one before?? Does it have more room than a cat. 6?

Lucky you! A category 4 is bigger (somebody correct me if I'm wrong), I think. I think that you also have a larger balcony this way. Have a wonderful trip... and if you ever figure out how you did it, let me know!!!!

If I'm reading correctly, brochure says cat 6 is 268' & cat 4 is 304'!

There is a Murphy bed(The bed comes out from the wall and is near the verranda area) in a Cat 4 that adds to the extra footage

Yup, the murphy bed adds more "length" to the room. I believe the verandah, however, is the same size. Nice treat...enjoy the upgrade!

u will love the room on last cruise we had 8502 just up the dead end hall ..... and if u get a chance and get on the ship arly enought the doors to the suites r open peek in we did
i believe it was the Roy Disney suite..... actually went in and took a Quick loook around.... was awesome ... great spot

We were in 8010 in 2001, 8510 in July and we have 8508 booked for next July! They're great rooms - no obstructions. Great location - quiet under the spa and very convenient going up a floor to the quiet pool . A bit of a walk going to dinner, but just a quick stroll downstairs to Walt Disney Theatre and Beat Street. Worth it for the peaceful atmosphere. Those are the least crowded stairwells and elevators. Sept. 8 appears to be on the Wonder - we were only on the Magic, but the ships are the same; pretty much. You'll love it - congratulations on the good news.
