Come on we all know that mocking OUR President is a sin..didn't you learn that in Sunday School? I did!

Not really. Every politician suffers close scrutiny - it's how we keep them in check.

The Illinois portion of this map is clearly wrong.

John F. Kerry (D) 2,826,757 55
George W. Bush(R) 2,313,415 45

Although Im red - I agree.

Cook County (Chicago) is a HUGE blue county.... and it appears red on the map.

Maps such as these are always interesting.

In the UK, the conservatives blatantly control more land area than the ruling socialists, yet the socialists are in power; I guess it's all down to population distribution.

Hmmm. Here's what one former President had to say about this topic:

"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

Interesting, because all I see are drinkers of that funny red Koolaid. Must have spilled some on their counties.

This is actually a map showing distribution of redneck Nascar fans.

OK here’s the map with 100% of the precincts counted….the other one is from when I first posted this thread on 11/07/2004

(FYI – thank you for your observation ..but Kerry still lost)

The question remains unanswered Charlie -- why dig a thread up that's a year and a half old? Lack of original material?

LOL, Charlie. Do you have ALL your threads bookmarked? :teeth:

That was a good response he gave Elizabeth Vargas in her interview yesterday, I liked it.

Remember the unwritten rules for the CB, Charlie.

The Bash Our President Thread made me a little BLUE today..so I had to cheer myself up.

What can I say…maybe I like to see a little color on the CB…so when I see it getting a little BLUE I like to add some beautiful RED

Even though the thread is “a year and a half old” it is still accurate isn’t it? :goodvibes

old names. nice blast from the past charlie. :)

I'm still waiting in line for a third party.

Actually, if you disregard Cook County, Illinois would have gone to Bush, which these maps show. Cook County in Blue, but much of Illinois in Red.

The #s:

594,928 for Kerry in Suburban Cook *
407,867 for Bush in Suburban Cook *

839,496 for Kerry in Chicago *
188,056 for Bush in Chicago *

Which Equals:
1,434,424 for Kerry in Cook County
595,923 for Bush in Cook County

That leaves:
1,392,333 for Kerry in the rest of Illinois
1,717,492 for Bush in the rest of Illinois

*These numbers were extracted from the Illinois State Board of Elections - Official Vote Book, which I sadly have sitting on my desk at the moment.
