In light of the recent ticket price increase, I thought this was pretty amazing. My parents gave me a box of stuff that had been in their attic from when I was in high school and college. While going through it, I found a bag of things from our 1987 trip to WDW. I pulled out three adult 4 day park hopper passes(of course, they weren't called that, but that's what they were). I looked on the back where the price was printed and they were only $80 a ticket! It only cost my parents $240 dollars for 3 adults for 4 days at Disney; now with the price increase, it costs about $750! I also found three 3 day passes from our 1984 trip that were only $37 a ticket, and the 4 day tickets from our 1993 honeymoon were only $120 each. Now granted, there were only two parks in '84 and '87 and three in '93. Plus, you have to factor in inflation, and also the fact that the Magic Your Way program has made it cheaper to stay longer, but it is still amazing see how much prices have changed over the years!
It was fun to find those things, though. I had old park maps for the MK and Epcot, and a WDW souvenir book that included pictures of the 5(!) Disney resorts! In fact, the back of the 1987 MK map included a listing of all the things that were "opening soon" such as the GF, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island, and MGM!!! My, how it's grown!
