I found the best way to avoid the "reservations" scramble ....

This will be our 2nd dcl cruise and last time the only "ressies" we scrambled for were shore excursions. It sounds like now we won't have to scramble for those as we can pre-book. Also, we may not do any excursions this time...thinking about wandering around Nassau a little on our own and then enjoying some quiet time on the ship while others are out.

We chose not to do Palos or the spa last time and won't be doing either this time.

I agree that all these extras do add up but that's not the whole reason for skipping them. We're just not interested in Palos or the spa. The shore excursions we're not sure about yet.

Think how relaxing to just not have to worry about all of that and just relax and enjoy the ship. We can go right to lunch and not have to split up with walkie talkies, etc.
