Holiday Inn
ANAHEIM-AT THE PARK (1 BLK E)
1221 SO. HARBOR BLVD

This Holiday Inn Anaheim Hotel is the closest of the Holiday Inn Hotels to Disneyland California in Anaheim, CA. The hotel offers the utmost in comfort and convenience.

Now! Does anyone know if it has a Disney view??

On to tickets! Please? Where is the BEST price for DL hoppers??

Can I tell you I'm getting EXCITED!! I'll miss POTC pirate: but I'll scoot a round :moped: and see :mickeyjum and ::MinnieMo and :tink:!!!!!! Can you feel the pixiedust: magic??pixiedust: And wishing you lots of magic, too! :wizard:

It does look nice, and I'm excited for you! You'll have a blast.

Just know that it is NOT a quick walk from here to the parks as the website states, but it is doable. It looks like only a couple of blocks on paper, but they are VERY long blocks, (it's more like 8 blocks) and you'll have to walk under I-5. Here's a map to give you an idea:

The red square is where you enter the plaza to get to the park entrances. Your hotel is at Harbor and Ball.

Have a wonderful time!!!!

Does it have a shuttle to the parks?

The Holiday Inn uses the Anaheim Rapid Transit (ART) tram system. It's $3/day for adults (kids are free w/ adult) for unlimited use of any of their trams.

I am excited for you. Do you mind if I ask what is the best price they quoted you? We stayed at the Annabella in a mini suite last time and paid $89.00 a night.

ter-moo - we will have a rental car :car: and I'll have an offsite rental scooter :moped: to get around on.

I like to stay a little closer. The walk from the Holiday Inn is a bit too far for me. I have been checking rates in April all morning to find the best deal, for me. (I will be coming in for a convention, down by John Wayne Airport, but I'd rather stay close to Disneyland.). I like the stretch of hotels along Harbor, with Fairfield Inn at one end and no farther than the Ramada Maingate at the other end. I found rates from $154.00 a nite to $99.00 a nite, and of course then add your 15% bed tax. :tink:

$64 a night. I booked in Feb. Had I booked in January it would have been about $10 less per night. I followed a link on another website that has asked nobody post info about it here. That confuses me...but I'll me glad to answer private messages if you want the scoop.

The trick, I believe, is booking early.

BTW...many say the walk is too long. We bought the tram passes, but ended up walking over half the time. I'm old and fat and have problems with my left foot and didn't find the walk at all an issue. :rotfl:

Hope you love your hotel...I didn't check it out, so I don't have any info about it to share.

Yeah, I have noticed how their "one block away" or "two blocks away" advertisements can be really misleading. I have seen the BWPPI, which is the closest hotel offsite (right across the street on the map) for only 89 a night. We have stayed there before, and probably will again. And we are onsite people! :goodvibes

Congrats on finding your hotel! And thanks so much for that map ter-moo!! I have family going that want to know where all of these offsite hotels are located, and although I know where some are, I do not know the locations of all. Now they can see it for themselves! :wizard: Thanks again!

It might be the closest of the Holiday Inns, but I reckon that would be a 20 minute walk to the gates each way.

The top 3 hotels on trip advisor at Grand californian (which is very expensive) Candy Cane Inn and Howard Johnson.

Both CCI and HoJo receive great reviews here, both are much closer and both are reasonably priced - are you sure you can't get a better deal? (We got a Disney view room at HoJo for $80 per night and loved it. Basic rates out of season can be as low as $60).

Congrats. My DH asked this morning if I wanted to spend a couple of days at DL before our cruise starts on April 3rd. I ended up booking the Holiday Inn also because most of the other hotels around the area are either sold out or over $100.00 per night. I got the Holiday Inn for $146.00 total for both nights, tax included. I don't care if it's a bit of a walk. I get to go to DL!! :tink: :tink:

If you don't want to make the walk or use the shuttle, you can always use a taxi.

I stayed there in 1998 and really liked it. We used a shuttle most of the time, but did walk once or twice as well. Enjoy your stay!!!

The Holiday Inn is always a winner! You will probably want to take the shuttle but thats to your advantage in my opinion, yes its a few bucks but they take you pretty close.

Have a wonderful trip, the staff there is great and so is the pool area.

FYI I got this Holiday Inn at $58/nt in March. I was researching for a possible trip and got 58.68 as a AAA price. If you have AAA look into that rate and save another few bucks each night! We have decided to go to San Diego instead because DL will be way too busy when we will be in town, but $58 a night is such a great deal! Also - the Ramada Maingate was $69/nt and had free breakfast! I think that was a promo rate! Have fun!!!!!!
