I found a dress for 16 DOLLARS!!

I have had in mind this perfect dress and never dreamed that I would find it. Well, this week at a conference I stopped by the mall and I noticed a 60 percent off rack of poofy type prom dresses in JC Pennys. I figured-what the heck! And there is was-my dress! It was a size too small, but I tried it on anyway because the tag said it was only 20.00. It doesn't zip up all the way(actually, there is a big gap) but I decided to buy it anyway. when she rung it up, it was actually 16.00. I couldn't believe it. I called the head company to see if there are any bigger ones left in any store in the nation and if they don't have any I am going to see if I can alter it in some way to fit. I figure even if I spent some money to get it altered, it is still going to be pretty cheap. I think I will try to take the zipper out and put in a lace up back. It is strapless with a cuff around the top. it has rhinestones and beads (but not too many) all over it and it is one of those that wraps to the side. It looks like a wedding dress, but it is not made out of the real heavy materials that they are typically made of-which is what I wanted because I think I will be soooo hot.

I am excited!!

Wow! I'm really happy for you. A good seamstress could do wonders with it. It sounds like a good plan with the laces in the back. Congrats!
