I finally got my course grade... and it is....

TRANSFERRABLE!!! (aka "C".)


Now, if you all knew what a struggle this course was.. and it was my very first class in 13 years! And to make matters worse, it was a Math course. Now some of you may have the math gods smile on you continually, but it is a long hard struggle for me.. especially in a four week course. I would come home spend 2-3 hours on homework per night, and studying as well..


I started out almost failing the course, truth be told, I got two D's on the first two test, a 97 on the other one, and must have gotten a C/B or a low A on the final. (If I got a 97 on the final I would have gotten a B!)

This course was very challenging, and I am so Glad its over, and that it transfers... ok the GPA isn't great, but the grade transferred...


On a side note, my new course started tonight... I like it so far. It seems straightforward, and very fair. Just reading (which I LOVE!!!!) and writing a few papers (not my favorite thing, but can be done!)

Cindy, the good thing is you'll never have to take College Algebra again unless you just want to. Congrats. I can't imagine taking CA in 4 weeks. I know there's no way I would've passed in 4 weeks.

It was tough, not only Algebra, but Alg II and some trig as well... it was horrible..

Plus, some horrible word problems as well.. Aren't all word problems horrible though?


NO more math classes ! No more math classes!


My literature class is four weeks as well, but so far so good... I like to read...

Oh, good for you! I also went back to school after 10 years in '01, and I am dreading one more math class that I have to take! I hate math!!!

Not in Math, Jason...definetely not there... I am math challenged. So for me to get a C.. it is a HUGE deal. My perception mind does not work..when you get to abstract concepts in math, I need to go very slow.....

Wow that's great Cindy. I couldn't pass another math class is someone paid me big bucks. I can do a lot of things but algebra is not one of them.

A co-worker friend of mine took a similar course, and she also struggled so hard through it. It's different when you're out of school & have other responsibilities.
