I finally got a code

First time in 21 trips ,I got the coveted 40% off..Only it is not in my name.It is my address and it is in the name of a girlfriend( who is now deceased) that I once went to Disney with( the ressie was in my name tho).Am I allowed to use this ?

There is only one way to find out for sure. Call Disney and ask. I've never heard of Disney allowing this but give it a shot.

They let me use a code that wasn't in my name last night when I called. The code came to my address but was addressed to a friend I went to WDW with a few years earlier.

I will but it probably won't be till tomorrow .

I just posted this on the other thread...but these mailers must be coming from deep inside the Disney info archives....mine came to me with my maiden name & I have been married for 8 years.

They did not allow it, and the CM was down right rude and mean about it.I explained that my house and address are new( new build and we the original owners) and that the person who it is addressed to never lived with me and was a guest on MY WDW reservation in 2001, and passed away in 2002.The Cm told me "the pincodes are nontransferable period" ..so I got quiet.The Cm then says" Why are you not booking a trip anyway?" Um...because i can't afford it without the code.

Wow, that's rude, especially considering that the person is deceased. Maybe you can try again with another CM? Thanks for the update!

tiggeraholic, did the name difference come up in conversation with the CM when you booked your room?

I would try another CM for sure. I've had to call until I got a "willing" CM on a few Disney deals.

Her name did not appear on my reservation at all.......just our family name.
