No wonder I didn't find the walk - I nearly missed it again yesterday. I went through another area that had the wooden boards (which past where I had been a number of weeks earlier, by the huge white logs).
On my way back, I finally noticed the trail. I should have looked that way to begin with, a guy who camps at FW (for several months of the year) had parked his golf cart near the entrance. It must have been his, anyway. He said they have been sho-ing everyone during the day away from the walk, and that they had started to take it apart. I don't know how far it went before, I will put photos up in the next couple of days of where it ends. He was saying he always saw bald eagles and other birds out there. I wish I'd known about this area before, it's beautiful! The boards never felt rickety to me.
