I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Your Epcot day sounds awesome!! Love F&W but it is so hard to decide on what to get at each booth!! I have not been to Via Napoli yet but I keep hearing amazing things.. Ill have to add it to the 2013 trip list.

Thanks! It was very hard for us to narrow down the kiosks options for our "must try" list.

Seems like there a lot of people on the DIS who rave about Via Napoli. Hopefully, I'll be one of those when I return!

I bet Reid will love the Agent P game! What little boy doesn't love electronics and games!

Right?!? I really hope it's fun for him.

Hopefully Reid enjoys the fireworks! Headphones sound like a great idea!

There really aren't too many nights where fireworks factor into our schedule (just 1 or 2) so hopefully the headphones will do the trick so we can watch them.

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine was okay.....just glad for this week to be over! It was one crazy week!

Ed had to travel to Mobile, AL earlier in this week. Of course, it was during that time that I was overwhelmed by family drama & was not having a good day at all.

On his way home the next day, he stopped at the Disney outlet in Gulfport, MS and picked me up a little something to try & cheer me up. This is what he got me:



I love this shirt! I'm a big fan of the Disney villains so I was very excited when he gave this to me.

Anyway, just wanted to post that real quick. I'll have a real update in a few days hopefully. Oh - and next Saturday I'm going spend the entire day with my friend who is making my Wendy dress. We're going to be scrapbooking most of the day. But, first, we're going to do a fitting for my costume so that she can finish it up. I'm so excited!

I think your EPCOT plans look great, especially the Via Napoli part! Just remember to stick with a pizza, you won't need anything else, especially if you've been eating your way around the world.

I think Agent P looks like fun. We tried Kim Possible last year, but didn't really have much interest in it... the concept was fun, but we had no idea who the characters involved in it were. We didn't even finish the first mission. DS and I both enjoy Phineas and Ferb, so I think we might have to give it another shot!

I'm sorry you're going to miss the Fantasyland expansion. I was really surprised when they announced the opening dates. I really thought they'd have it open a few weeks before Thanksgiving and have some soft openings a few weeks before that. I guess not...

Yeah, I know who Kim Possible is & that's it. I never knew any of the other characters. And the only reason I was aware of her is because I have a niece who loved her when the show was still on. I'm really glad they updated it to more current characters. I really hope it's fun for Reid.

Thanks. I had the same thinking of you. I truly thought they would have it open by Thanksgiving. I was really hoping for some soft openings at the beginning of Oct. But, oh well! Maybe when we go back in 2014 it won't be so crowded & hard to get a BOG ADR. And the mine train should be open by the time we go in 2014.

Thanks. I think every family has their own share of drama....some more than others. Ours has just been in full force lately. But, I think it's all finally settling down....maybe....hopefully.

Ok really have to go do dishes but I just read the introduction part of your PTR ("met" you on MarDGreen TR). First off I have to say my husband is the same way - he loves Disney and I love to plan. Every time I try to talk to him about it, he kind of zones out and says whatever. That's why I love this board! We were both bitten by the running bug a couple years ago so now I feel like all of our Disney trips will be worked around them but I don't love the times of year they fall either. We went to marathon week in 2011...we lucked out and the weather was perfect but its risky plus too chilly too swim, which is a big part of our trip. My 40th birthday is in October so this is our "excuse" for going this year but wanted to work it around a race. It was either TOT or W&D. W&D falls during Veterans Day/Jersey work so though the TOT weekend would be a bit better as far as crowds. BUT I hate that it is going to be hot. None of us really like that but we have a water park day planned.

My favorite times to go though are end of October and beginning of December.

We are leaving the park on Monday too to go to Universal! My husband and kids are huge Harry Potter fans so its a requirement this trip to go. I am currently researching the best way to get there...rent a car or take a shuttle. I think that looks like the only day you and I have common park days - well except for TOT run and the Villians Party!

Thank you so much for coming over! I'm prepared to work our future Disney trips around Disney races if that's what it takes for my DH to get excited. How fun though that you will be able to celebrate your birthday at Disney! I've already told Ed that I want a Disney trip for my 40th bday, too! I figured that gives him a few years to plan.

We used to pretty much always go to Disney during the 2nd week of December. It's been fun branching out into different parts of the year. But, part of me always misses Disney in December.

I understand that completely! Even with the discount through RunDisney, it's not cheap. I'm going to take my 2 nights there & be happy about it. I just hope Beach Club doesn't spoil me & then make me miserable for the next 7 days at OKW.

Haha! I think I did this while you were at Disney. Sooooo......you know how our 1st two nights were going to be spent at POFQ? Yeah.....I changed that. I kept talking about how pretty BC looks & how I thought the pool area would give Reid some fun on those few days since we're not going to the parks. And so.....Ed said, "Well, change it then!" So, yes, we are now at BC for our first two nights!!!

How fun! Are y'all doing both Universal & Islands of Adventure or just Islands of Adventure? Have y'all seen the Harry Potter area before? I'm so full of questions! We're big Potter fans too & love that area. This year, we're really going for all the Spiderman ride & the superhero meet & greets for our little boy.

Back in 2010, we were staying onsite at Disney but did 1 day at Islands of Adventure. We took the Mears shuttle. It was easy to set up & relatively cheap. I want to say back then it was $17/person/roundtrip. It may have gone up though in the last couple of years. If you go this route, the concierge desk at the Disney resort can help set it up for you.

Are you & your DH both running the ToT 10 miler? Will your kids be at the Villains Party, too? How old are you kids? Ok, I need to stop asking questions before you really think I'm a lunatic.

Ok, I need to stop asking questions before you really think I'm a lunatic.


Trust me...I don't think you are a lunatic...I love it! There are very few people that I can talk about my Disney obsession with that get it!

We will just be going to IOA. We have never been before.

We won't be there on my birthday...my b-day is end of October. Like I said, we are scheduling it around the race otherwise we would be there on my birthday. NOt too excited about turning 40 so if I were in Disney ON the day, it would make it much easier!

My husband and I are both running. My parents are coming with us for most of the trip so they will be cheering us on. We all have tickets for the after party. Should be interesting to see how long we hold up! My kids are 11, 9 and 7. My little one is still very little so fits in a carriage so I'm hoping he snoozes in it.
