I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Your ADRs are sounding like mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, right?!? Great minds think alike! :thumbsup2

We always LOVE CP!! I wanted to do CRT with DH...but he said NO.....

I'm excited to finally have breakfast at CP. I've had ADRs in the past for it & always ended up canceling for some reason. One day I'll get in that castle....maybe if someone plans a 40th bday for me at WDW in a few years.

Love the calendar!!!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

Amanda, what a great update and a fun-filled one at that.

Thank you so much!

First, let me tell you my boys never wanted to eat in the castle either...they said the same thing Reid feels...it's for girls! I have YET to eat in that castle.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I honestly feel like the only Disney fan who has yet to eat there. I'm glad to know I'm not alone & that I keep great company in that category!

You are going to LOVE CP for breakfast and don't miss the puffed french toast!

I can't wait to see what this puffed french toast is all about! I have a feeling it will be a hit with all 3 of us.

I think a "do whatever you want" kind of day at the MK is a good idea. We've eaten at Columbia Harbor House a number of times and really enjoy it.

One of my goals for this trip has been to try new things, especially restaurants. I'm really hoping we can get to CHH for lunch this day. Hopefully, we'll get a lot done without feeling like we're running around crazy.

Ooooh...forgot to mention, I love the countdown calendar.

Thank you! :goodvibes

Great countdown calendar! It's fun when kids are excited about Disney, too!

Thank you! I had so much fun making it! I love how much Reid loves Disney. He honestly knows as much as Ed does about Disney. I just hope he never loses his love for Disney.

Crystal Palace is really good. We usually do lunch, but I'm sure the empty park as you walk in will be magical.

I've never been in MK before Rope Drop so I can't even imagine what it will be like to see it so empty! :cloud9:

I don't have anyone to eat in the Castle with either. My boys are too little to protest, but I hate to spend all that money when princesses freak them out. Jeremy says someday he and I will go alone, which isn't quite the same as having a little girl to take, but it'll do.

I so feel your pain! I keep begging Reid to meet princesses with me but he is so resistant. I think he's starting to crack a little so I may get to meet 1 or 2 this year. :lmao:

I just found out about this card game too and we are excited to try it! Another thing on my to-do list is to look more into it. Where do you get the cards? This day will be the saddest day for us too since we have to get the ME early Saturday morning. :(

I think you can get them at the front of Main Street in the Firehouse. There may be other locations where you can sign up for it but I'm not sure. I should probably do some more research on it as well.

Thanks for sharing your Beach Club plans with me! That sounds AMAZING.

You're very welcome! And thank you! I'm excited to check it out for 2 nights.

Your countdown calendar is so cute! Sounds like a really fun way for Reid (and you ;)) to get excited as each day passes!

Awww, thank you! I was excited to make it for him. And, yes, for me too. :rotfl2: Some days, I don't know who gets more excited!

I'm betting that yall will love Crystal Palace! It's a family favorite for us. I've been there three times and have always been very happy with it. :thumbsup2

I think we'll have a good time. We're pretty easy people to please, if I'm being honest. Something has to be awful for us to complain about it.

Hmm... if you're taking a boat or monorail then there are only a few possible options... I have a guess, but I'll keep it to myself for the time being hahah.

:rotfl: I bet you have a good idea of where we're going!

Yay for the countdown!! That is adorable!

Thank you!! I was so excited to get to finally hang it up after working on it here & there for a few weeks.

I love Crystal Palace breakfasts!!!!!!!

I'm excited to finally eat there! And to see the park before opening!!

Too bad you can't convince your little prince to eat in the castle! That would be too cute, and the princesses would LOVE him!! I hear the food is good too, although I've never been!

I think it would be a lot of fun with him, especially at this age. But, for now, I really try to pick our meals around what he would do best with. I know he tells me the princesses are just "for girls" but I also think he doesn't want to meet them because he gets really shy around girls he thinks are cute.

Hmmm, there are quite a few dining choices off the monorail! I'm going to say... either Ohana (I really hope so, so I can drool all over your food pictures ) orrrrrrrr somewhere at the GF! LOL, I really am having a hard time here!!

I'm going to say you may or may not be right. :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Your calendar turned out so cute!!! :woohoo:

I can't believe how close your trip is. I'm jealous. :sad1:

I love that calendar! What a crafty little miss you are!:goodvibes Hmmmm....I have been trying to think where you could be headed for that ADR...:scratchin Could it be Ohana???

My girls just started loving pooh and tigger. Too bad everything is booked at cp but then i learned they both tigger and pooh are usually at 1900! yay!

your plans sound great. My youngest has only seen fireworks once and tho she wasnt scared im nervous about the trip. I bought a pack of childrens silicone ear plugs to carry with us. Hopefully Reid does well with headphones.

Thank you. I try....I don't always succeed in my crafts...but I try. :rotfl:

I just looked at your ticker!!! OMG! Your trip is really fast approaching now!

I'll never tell. :snooty:

That's not true....I will tell you....in the update next week. :lmao:

I've heard really good things about 1900 PF. I just hope Reid still likes them when we get there. :rotfl:

Thanks! I wish Reid would let me put ear plugs in his ears. That would be so much easier to carry around but I know that will never happen.

The countdown calendar is too adorable!

I love that Reid is so excited. The other night Anthony said, "Let's look at pictures from Disney." I was so proud.:rotfl2:

We always have to have 2 days at MK. There is just so much to do. I've never eaten at the castle either. Good luck with Reid meeting princesses. Since Tessa isn't into meeting characters we skip them. Anthony only agreed to meet Merida because of the bow & arrow thing in the line. Maybe you can at least meet her?

I am going to guess 'Ohana for your dinner.

I feel a RC Girls 40th birthday trip coming.....:scratchin

Me, too! Awww, that's so sweet that Anthony wanted to look at pictures from y'alls trip. To me, that shows how special these trips really are to them.

Hmmm.....he may meet Merida since there are bows & arrows to be played with. :scratchin Also, I'm trying to remember from your update....did they have the 3 Bears in the meet & greet, too? Reid LOVES them!

I am going to guess 'Ohana for your dinner.

Maybe :confused3

Ooohhhh....that would be fun. We only have until January 2018 to plan! Can you only imagine the amount of resort changing that could go on during 5 1/2 years? :scared1:

:lmao:

Love the sounds of that!!:thumbsup2

It would be so fun, right?!?

We can ALL get tiaras for CRT :thumbsup2

YES!!!! ::yes::
:thumbsup2

So is Reid still loving the countdown calendar???? pixiedust:

He really, really is! As soon as he wakes up in the morning, he asks me "Mommy, can I go take off the Mickey Head for the day?" :hyper:

Today, my sister's middle child came over to play for a little bit. When she came to pick him up, she sent in her oldest son to get him. Reid couldn't wait to show him the calendar (he adores his oldest cousin). But, I did get approval from the 11 year old cousin that I did a good job on it.

I love the calendar! I have been trying to make one... but sadly some how my days are slipping by and the countdown isn't even done. I normally have one to start at about 50 days.

Yay for CP! Now, I am not the biggest Pooh fan (I know... not the most popular opinion) however, I love CP and for breakfast it is THE best.

Sounds like going with the flow in MK will be awesome... but I can't wait to read where you are eating dinner!

Aww - that is so cute!!!! And, seriously, you did do a great job on it! :woohoo:

And doesn't it make you more excited too???? I sometimes wonder whether I'm doing the countdown for Willow or for me. :rolleyes1

Thank you!! :goodvibes I'm glad I started it last month because this month is turning out to be crazy busy for us and it will be that way up until we leave.

I am so excited to eat breakfast there. I think this is the one character meal that has me more excited for the food than the characters. :rotfl2:

I hope we can have a nice day in the MK filled with our favorite rides.

I'll be excited to report about dinner in my update next week. I'm excited and a little anxious about this ADR.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes It can be a bit time consuming to make these calendars - getting all the character pieces cut out & then pieced together. And writing on all of the Mickey heads. But, I really enjoy doing it. Good thing because I've committed to making 1 for one of my best friends and 1 for her oldest sister too.

And doesn't it make you more excited too???? I sometimes wonder whether I'm doing the countdown for Willow or for me. :rolleyes1

It really does! I enjoy counting down the days just as much as Reid. The calendar is just a fun, vibrant way for us to do it.

I hear ya! I love making our countdown calendars, but it does take some effort. And I have never tried to make one for someone else - how cool! Of course, yours is much more fancy than mine what with all your fancy Mickey heads! ;) :scared: I suppose I will make myself try to Mickey-head up mine next time now! :scared1: :rotfl2:

You guys are both ahead of me. I just did a dry erase board!

Amanda, do you have a Cricut? Or did you draw out all of those Mickeys?

:rotfl2: Thank you - that was the first good laugh I have had in a while! You crack me up, girl!
