I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Ok, so somehow I thought that I was subscribed to your thread and that I had posted early on. Clearly neither was the case - I'm blaming it on the tired-from-the-toddler brain ;)

I'm loving all your plans, especially the change to the Beach Club. That resort is still on my dream list!

Congratulations for sticking to the C25K. I've tried twice and quit after week 3 both times :sad2: Maybe I need to sign up for a Disney race to help me stick it out :rotfl2:

Reid is such a cutie - I hope he continues to love his karate classes!

Congrats to Reid for his first belt and for enrolling for 6 months. That's awesome!

Thanks! He seems to really enjoy it, so far! He asks me everyday if he can go to karate class. :rotfl:

I agree with you - I can't wait to try all the kiosks at the F&W festival. This will be my first time. Yum!

Ed & I went through the list I had printed out last night. We put our initial next to everything we wanted to try. I think I alone had 14 "to try" items on my list. I might need to narrow that down. :rotfl2:

Great plans for your Epcot day! :thumbsup2 I took a ton of pictures in the Figment ride. Just edited them yesterday. ;)

Thank you! Awww.....love Figment! Can't wait to see your pics!

I have done that before! :rotfl: And I am definitely familiar with the tired-from-the-toddler brain. :sad2:

Thanks! I'm excited to check out Beach Club even if it's only for our first two nights. :goodvibes

Thank you! I had tried to do it last summer but I think I quit after week 2. The race definitely gave me much more motivation to finish the program this time around. Now, I just need to work on my endurance for the 5K.

Reid is such a cutie - I hope he continues to love his karate classes!

Awww, thank you! I do hope he keeps liking it. I think it will teach him many good things.

Congrats Reid! Aww precious. Sounds like such a fun Epcot day. Sighhhhh I miss it already. :(

Thought this sounded very star warish!! LOL! :rotfl: Love it! Ok, I am bored...just wanted to say hi! :wave2: And I admire how many replies you are making over here...great job keeping up with it!:thumbsup2

Now that you say that....it sure does! :rotfl2:

My favorite Star Wars line that I usually use with him is "Do or do not. There is no try." Yeah, I'm a bit of a Star Wars geek. :rotfl:

Ok, I am bored...just wanted to say hi! :wave2:

I'm glad you stopped by to say Hi! Come talk anytime you're bored! Especially at night...that's when I'm on most.

Awww, thank you! :goodvibes

Wow!!! Reid, that is so exciting!!! :cool1: He is adorable!

I love Epcot! It's definitely my favorite park (followed closely by DHS). That is so cute about Reid singing the Imagination song! :rotfl2: Your lunch plans soud great! I really wish I could go during F&W... maybe some day!!

Epcot is such a great park! I love that I never feel like I'm running around crazy in that park.

Reid loves singing Disney songs...which I totally love! :goodvibes

I can't wait to experience F&W, even if we only have 1 day for Epcot. Our "must try" list was kind of long so I think we've decided to order 1 of everything on the list & just share.

I know Jen, I can't even keep up with her replies...so behind :flower3:

*Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Bailey's Ganache (from Ireland)[/B]

Congrats to Reid on his Karate firstly
Secondly food and wine festival makes me laugh alot especially the Irish offers. I have never heard of that dessert being a traditional Irish dessert. Apple pie and custard is more Irish but then that's prob more boring that that lava cake. :lmao:

Yeah, I didn't think the lava cake was a traditional Irish dessert. But, it sounds too delicious to pass up. :rotfl2:

So how is the training going these days??:cheer2:

I can't believe I can say this but here it goes: I actually completed the C25K program last week! :woohoo: Now, I'm working may way up to a full 5K run. I'm close - I'm running about 2.6 miles right now. So, I'm almost there!! :cool1:

Way to go!! :dance3: That is amazing, you will get there in no time! I haven't really been running, but trying to get lots of walking in. Ok, not lots of walking, but walking some when I am not working in the evening. OK...maybe once a week.

Anyway...sniff...Good for you!! Maybe a Disney race is what I need for motivation too!

Thank you!!! I never in a million years would have thought that I could ever even run for 10 minutes straight, let alone 30.

Some weeks are harder to work in runs than others. I ran last night & probably won't get to run again until this weekend.

Honestly, if it weren't for the Disney 5K I signed up, I would have never finished this. Once I knew I was committed to the race (& I had told all y'all), I knew I had no choice but to do it.

I am getting beyond ready for this trip! It has been quite a week over here :sad2: and I'm feeling the need for our vacation right about now. Since we can't go on the vacation just yet, let's at least talk about the plans!

So, when I last left off, I was discussing that we plan to make a lunch out of samplings from the F&W kiosks. We will grab a kids meal for Reid at one of the CS places.

Ed & I have finally gone through the list of F&W kiosks and marked down the things we'd like to try. Our plan is:

Start right when WS opens & get 1 of the things we'd like to try & we'll share. I know the portions aren't big but I think that sharing will allow us to try the things we're really interested in without getting overly full.

While we are tasting our way around the world, we will stop to check out a few stores & such. Also, I'm thinking that maybe we could also do the Agent P Mission thing. I think this would be fun for Reid, giving him something to do in the World Showcase.

It would also be nice if got to meet a few characters while we were out & about. I'd especially like it if Reid would agree to meet Belle & Beast. He's been asking lately where he could meet Beast. I'm hoping we see them. Also, we've been working on a little bit of French at home & I told him that he could tell Belle "Bonjour". He seemed to like that idea. :rotfl:

Now, remember that I said we don't need to overly stuff ourselves with the F&W offerings? Well, I have a good reason for saying that! We have a 620pm ADR here:

images

*Thanks for the picture, internet!*

Yep....we'll be going to Via Napoli! I definitely know a few people on the DIS who love this place! After reading so many glowing reviews, we are going to give it a try. Actually, we were supposed to eat there last year but changed it to Rose & Crown. I know.....you're all shocked that I changed an ADR. :lmao:

I really wanted something a little later than 620 but everything else they had just was almost too late for Reid. I may be the only person on the DIS to say this but here it goes: I kind of hope we have a little bit of a wait for a table.

Once we're done with our yummy pizza, I really don't have any concrete plans for us. I'd like to stick around & wait for Illuminations. Who doesn't love fireworks?

Well, Reid doesn't, that's who. :rotfl2: He did okay with the 4th of July fireworks around our house. But when I told him, "See. They're not that bad. Now, you can watch them in Disney." he responded with "They're much louder at Disney. I need headphones." So, I may be packing headphones into the park with us for fireworks viewing. Luckily, Ed has some for work that will fit on Reid & they collapse quite nicely.

While we're waiting on Illuminations, we'll probably just leisurely stroll about & enjoy the night. Doing whatever catches our fancy. :goodvibes

I'm going to go ahead & apologize for this picture-light & lackluster update. Please don't jump off the crazy train just yet! :rotfl: Hopefully, my last few updates will be more interesting!

Hey! Just popping in to say hi!

I can't wait to hear about Via Napoli! And the F&WF too! :woohoo:

BTW, a friend of mine contacted me this week - her SIL has offered to pay for the resort and tickets so that she and her husband and their daughter can go to WDW. My friend hasn't been since she was a kid, and her daughter (6, will probably be 7 by the time of the trip in February) has never been. I get to plan their whole trip! :woohoo: Soooooo, since you have actually been paying attention to all the Fantasyland Expansion stuff much more closely than I, will you be willing to help me with the MK parts of their plan???? :flower3:

Sounds like a perfect Epcot afternoon!

I hope you try the Agent P thing. I was bummed that it hadn't changed yet last spring. I really think that Maddie would love it.

Yay for Via Napoli! I'll review that one too!

I'm sure that Amanda knows this and will tell you Roni, but Fantasyland opens officially on Dec. 6. Belle's area and VOLM will be open. Still 2014 for mine train and 2013 I think for the Princess area.

What fun to plan a dream vacation for a friend!

I'm excited to see what they're both all about. I hear so many people raving about VN & F&W, so it'll be interesting to finally experience them.

First of all - why didn't I get a SIL like that? :rotfl2:

Seriously though - I will be more than happy to help you!! I love planning even if it's not for myself! You can message me info about the trip - like when they're going, etc & we can start planning away!!! :yay:

Thanks! I think it should be nice....not very rushed.

I really want to. Reid loves Phineas & Ferb and Agent P is his favorite so I think he'll enjoy it.

Ooohhh.....can't wait to hear what you have to say. It better be good - your reviews have been known to sway me. :rotfl2:

Yes, I can't even begin to tell you how soul-crushing that announcement was for me yesterday. Yesterday was a very, very cruddy day for me. And just when I thought I couldn't feel any sadder....BAM!....Disney announces New Fantasyland will open on Dec. 6th. Why was this such a blow to me? Well because (1) I am completely obsessed with this expansion and can't wait to experience this new part of the park, (2) that is our Anniversary and (3) when we originally planned our trip for 2012, our trip dates were to be 12/8 - 12/15. Yeah, I cried. No, seriously, I cried about New Fantasyland yesterday.
