So what is it that I did?

I bought a Sizzix machine and the Classic set of Sizzlets! And a converter too.

DH & I went to Michael's Sunday armed with two 50% coupons. I was really looking for one of the other alphabet sets but they were "all sold out". Hmmm, we got there 10 minutes early so how could they have been sold out already?

Anyhow, a clerk showed me the Sizzlets set and ended up talking me into that instead. I'm still not sure if I like the Sizzlets or not. They see awful tiny to me. Maybe once I get using them a bit more they'll grow on me.

Congratulations on your purchase! :) I used my Michael's 50% off coupon at A.C. Moore and bought the girls are weird set. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I was undecided on if I wanted to spend the money (I have some of the full-size alphabets) but a woman there (a shopper, not a worker) told me that she had them and she uses them for long titles on a page or for cards. I liked the cards idea since I'm a rubber stamper so I bought them. Hope to try them one of these days!

Good for you Belle. I know you have wanted one since Christmas. Thought you would have gotten one then. Let me know how you like the sizzlets. I saw someone use them at LSS but not sure it I would use a lot. maybe I should start saving.

I find myself trying not to use them on every layout. I love the size and especially love Girls are weird font, but like the others as well. If you use them for the title, you have more room for photos.

I don't know if you know this - but
If you run the paper through a Zyron sticker maker - before you punch the letters it will be easier to adhere them to your page!

Welcome to the -Expenseive- and fun world of Sizzix!

Congratulations. I have had my shadow box letters for awhile and just recently used them in several school projects which got A's. I love my sizzix.

That's what I bought with my 50% off coupon too! The Sizzix machine. At 40$ (as opposed to 80) I couldn't pass it up. I wish I'd have thought of it the first day I went though...I used one then and got a really cute sewing basket thing. SHOULD have bought an alphabet set or something. Oh well, next time.
