I was going to Best Buy today to get DS new earphones for his IPod and decided to check out the cameras, once again. There was the S5 for $399. no interest for 12 mos. I decided to go ahead and get it. We have a WDW trip planned for the week after Thanksgiving with the grandkids. I also got 2 2 GB SD cards. I'm so glad I can still use my 1 GB cards from the S2 with this camera! I should be in real good shape for our next trip!:)
I have a vac day planned for Tuesday because DS has a day off school. I have told him we are now going to Cleveland Zoo so I can try out the new camera!

Here is my 1st picture with the new S5: My willing subjects, who I had to bribe with a piece of cheese!;)

Congrats on the new camera. Post some pics for us from the zoo. :)

TC~ What a nice sharp picture! I am seriously thinking of buying the S5 so please let us the the good, the bad, and the ugly. What are you planning on doing for batteries ~rechargable or reg AA???

I got my new S5 the other day and I really like it. I am still learning how to use it. Did you see how many books came with it? Holy cow!

I took these today with my new S5. They are of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

TwingleMum,

I already had the S2 so I was very familiar with the settings/capabilities.

I use PowerEx rechargeable batteries. They seem to really hold a charge for a long time.

I went to youngest DS's band show tonight in nearby Orrville, Oh. I am presently downloading the video I took of our school's performance. That is another of the reasons I wanted to upgrade from the S2 to the S5...longer video capacity. I think I'm going to be very happy with my choice!:goodvibes
