I finally completed the kid's '05 Disney albums - Have a look!

It was truly worth all the time and effort - what great memories.

Hi QuiltyMom, How did you do the titles on your opening page? Does CM have journaling program, or did you just do it on the computer? Love the Disney font.

Thanks, everyone, for your wonderful comments. I've really been inspired by everyone's work that I've seen here on the DIS, so a lot of my motivation and inspiration I have to credit to everyone else! It was a lot of fun, and as I said before, please feel free to scraplift anything you want!

Hi QuiltyMom, How did you do the titles on your opening page? Does CM have journaling program, or did you just do it on the computer? Love the Disney font.

Are you referring to page 1 or page 2 (which has the itinerary)? Either way, here's what I did:

Page 1 is the Waltograph type font that I downloaded for free from mickeyavenue . com. I printed it out on vellum paper, cut it out & mounted it. I used either the Waltograph or the Disney Print fonts for most of the journaling that I had typed and printed out on the laser & photo copy paper.

For page 2/Itinerary page - One of the titles is from the old Mickey Combination pack from a few years that I still had lying around. I was trying to trace & cut out out another (since I only had one), which wasn't working too well. But my friend saw what I was doing and made one for me on her cricut. So, that's part of the non-CM stuff I have in the book.

Any other questions - just let me know!

I finally got to look at all of the pics tonight--that is incredible!! You did a WONDERFUL job!! :thumbsup2

Beautiful job! No wonder you got so many pages done last month, what a fun project! Quick question...on page 95 you have a beautiful map of the Harambe trail - did that come from Animal Kingdom? Where exactly did you pick it up? I've never seen it before, and I really like it!

Thanks~ The map is actually a post card! I found it in the little shop outside of the main gate while we were walking out to the bus. I was looking for something else, then spotted them. This was back in the Spring of '05, so I'm not sure if they'd still have it. But then I did see a lot of the same postcards last October in the MK that I had seen then. Who knows!

Just looked through your album tonight--Wow! Fantastic job! I especially liked your Epcot pages and the one with your kids pix cut into Mickey heads.

Your alblum is very beautiful, so good work!

I have a question about the pocket on the epcot page holding the passport. What did you use for this? Brand? Is this a good way to store items on a digital page do you think? (I am trying to find a solution for miscellanous items that I have scrapped in a regular book, before digitallizing (is that a work?) <grin>

Mr. Quilty looks quite happy getting Mary Poppins autograph!

Great job, QuiltyMom. :thumbsup2 I bet your son just loves it.

Good job Quiltymom! It's obvious that you put a lot of time and effort into that album. You, your kids and your kids kids will look back on that trip for years to come and have wonderful memories becasue of the way you scrapped it.

Thanks again, everyone, for your comments. The kids are thrilled with their albums, which is the best part of it all.

It is the large memorabilia pocket from Creative Memories. I don't see why you couldn't place it in a digital album. The entire back of the pocket is adhesive, so it'll stick and stay forever once it's down. CM also makes smaller pockets, too, which are more like envelopes. You can leave them as is or seal the items inside (clear as mud? :rotfl:)

The funny thing was, when I heard Mary Poppins was going to be there, I cried!!! DH just rolled his eyes at that. She's always been my favorite! I also made her day when she saw I had made her own autograph page. She said that no one had ever made a page for her before.

Looks great, someone's a CM fan!! HE HE! I have gone three times and only completed one book! I know how that goes!
It looks fantastic!

Hi! Great pages!

How did you load your pages on Smugmug (we post our Disney pic on smugmug)??

I like how the thumbprint of the whole page is next to the two pages. How did you do this?

I love it! I really like the first pages with the "table of contents" type with what you did each day.

Great pages! :) Where did you get the paper for the Small World page?

It is from a book of Disney papers that I purchased while at WDW. They were presented in a spiral-bound book. I did see that they were still carrying it last October and they had it available everywhere.

It also included a few others that I used in the album, like the first Epcot page, the ThinkPlace page and pages 2-3. There may have been others, but I cannot remember which ones offhand.

I took photos of each page and each double-page spread, then cropped them to get out all of the excess background using CM's Memory Manager. Once that was done, all I had to do was upload them to SmugMug. It did take a while since there were so many pages!!!

I liked that idea too - one that I scraplifted from the Virtual Scrapbook thread, so the original idea was not mine. I did like the way that it set the tone for the whole album. I always have a horrible time trying to figure out how to get an album started, so I do believe that I'll be using that idea for other vacation albums, as well.
