This is a long story, I'm venting !!! My mother's friends are visiting from out of town, mentioned they'd like to see me, DH, and autistic DS. I told my mother to sort of feel them out, see if they had any nights free and get back to me...not to invite. Of course she invited them to dinner, at my house, for tonight. It gets worse...we were at my mom's house Saturday night, my nephews were laughing at my situation...they (DNs) don't like grandma's friends...I laughed too, said they were invited...ha, ha, ha. Well, Monday my mother informed me that youngest DN is coming...okay, I DID invite him, in a way...had my groceries bought, table arranged in my mind...then my sister calls at noon today and says that older DN is coming too...he found out I was having game hens and he wants some too. Now I know my sister, and she has browbeaten oldest nephew into dinner at my house so she can have time alone w/ DH #3...I am wild !!! DS is having some real issues, I'm exhausted, and I'm irritated at both my mother and sister...neither of them have one problem they haven't brought on themselves...and yet I'm always supposed to handle everything. Maybe not after this...I let my mother have it over the phone...she always pulls this "I didn't know, or think..." garbage...and my sister realized I was a little miffed...but she also knows I would never hurt my nephew's feelings. Next year I'm going on a vacation, I HATE Christmas !!! Is there anyone else out there expected to deal not only with a disabled child, but w/ every family mess that comes along ?
