Thought I'd share my favorite breastfeeding on a ride story. I breastfed all three of my sons at amusement parks - my absolute favorite ride for it was the TTA: private, comfortable, and if the baby isn't done after one time around (or two) they'd always just let me stay on for another loop.
I don't specifically remember ever doing it in a car or boat with other people around, but that doesn't mean I didn't. Most breastfeeding moms get pretty slick with it, and I know I could have easily slipped a cranky baby on during, say, POTC, with nobody around me noticing. It doesn't have to be a big deal.
But my favorite was when we took our boys to Kings Island, in Ohio. My youngest was only about five months old, and obviously couldn't do many rides. But they had a Scooby-Doo-themed dark ride there that was kind of like Buzz - you rode around and shot targets. Well, my older boys loved it and I could actually take the baby on it, so we rode that thing probably 20 times that day. Almost every time, I took the opportunity to breastfeed. It was dark and I was in a car by myself, and my youngest was at that age where he was about to start solid food, and was just really wanting to nurse a lot.
At the end of the day, we rode it one last time before leaving and as we exited, we turned the opposite direction from the exit as we had most of the day (heading to the main exit, rather than back towards more rides). I noticed a kiosk that I hadn't seen earlier in the day - a kiosk selling ride photos of the Scooby Doo ride.
So I realized I had been photographed breastfeeding ALL DAY. Over and over. And I never noticed. So much for modesty.
