about makeup for the photographs and if he had any tips or tricks he could share....

he said this:

"For the make up i like natural,, just make sure they have a sealer so you face will not shine,,, "

now I've been wearing makeup for something like 15 years, and I have no idea what a "sealer" is. Anyone have any idea? :confused3

thanks! :bride:

I remember them spraying something on my face when they completed my make up. Even in the Fla heat of May that makeup did not budge. I had it on from 5:30 am till the completion of my dessert party at 10ish with an hour nap in between!

ok, so it's something you spray on? where can I get this stuff cause I'm doing my own makeup!

I just did a quick google & found this:

To keep your makeup looking fresh all day long, use MAC's Fix+ ($11.50), a vitamin-rich spray you use to set your makeup and refresh it throughout the day, preventing it from looking cakey, chalky or cracked.

"Fix+ works with foundation to make your skin look its best," Espinet says. "It's a humectant, so it pumps the cells up so they're at the best and looking fabulous."

You can also try a makeup sealant -- like Benefit's She-Laq ($24 at department stores and Sephora stores).

"This magical makeup sealer with its four handy wands is a great way for you to enjoy a smudge-free wedding despite the tears," says Jean Ford, co-creator of Benefit cosmetics. "Use a thin amount over mascara and lips and mix with eyeliner for a smear-free zone."

I would probably go to a MAC counter and see what they suggest.

Does anyone know of any kind of sealer that would work with Bare Minerals?

Do you mind me asking who did your makeup? It looks great!

There is also something called model in a bottle I believe. It is what they use on photoshoots to seal and hold the makeup. Many of the cosemetologist use it as well.

My sister's friend is doing all our hair and makeup so I need as many tips as possible...now I'm getting nervous.

I have seen Fix it+. For Bare Minerals I would go to your local store and ask. I am really not sure if they have one. I would be interested in knowing if they do. One thing I would do is put an extra coat of Mineral Veil before you do your foundation step.

i agree. for someone like me who has oily skin, when i put mineral veil on before and after, it helps with shine/oil. thats all I would know to do with bare minerals.

I don't have a bareminerals store nearby. I have to order all of my stuff off the net. I may contact their customer service and see if they have any suggestions.

I know I recently (like last week) purchased some of the Rare Minerals. I have rosacea really bad. I have a lot of redness, and raised rough skin. It is also very dry and flaky. I have been using the Rare Minerals for about a week and it has helped me a 100%!! I don't have near as much flakiness. And the redness is so much less that when I glance in the mirror, it takes me a minute to figure out what looks different about my face LOL. I was kind of scared because of the cost, but I don't think I can ever live without it now!!!!

wow! thank you for all that.. I"m going to look into those two products further!! I'm still not sure if I want to use bare minerals or just regular makeup for the wedding either..... thanks again! :yay:

I am using Ana from beaute special and she told me that they spray something on before and after that holds your makeup. They use MAC. So I definatley know that mac has a concealer and a lot of people rave about it.

I use Mac makeup and they are the best. I don't use the sealer and my makeup last all day. HTH
