"I Don't Wanna Meet Mickey In a Frumpin' Poncho!" An August 2011 TR! COMPLETE 11/30

I love the picture of you and the school bread riding Soarin' - the facial expression is great. And I agree with you on Sunshine Seasons - it's such a great quick service option (and how convenient that it's next to one of the best rides in the park). :thumbsup2

Your review reminded me that Test Track is closed now. :( Oh well - hopefully when it reopens (possibly around December?), it'll be cooler than ever. The concept art for the refurbishment looks awesome. :)

Hahaha thanks! :lmao: It had a great time! LOL. It's SO delicious! And in my favorite pavilion too!

I know. ): So sad. I'm excited to see how the new version turns out though! Can't wait to check it out in December!! :thumbsup2

Getting caught up here.. Poor Snow White in the heat - she must have been melting! Hooray for attactions that have a/c...at least you could protect your school bread! :thumbsup2

I loved the snoozing on Test Track photo! Very clever!

Counting down to your return trip - you don't have much longer! :cheer2:

I know! I felt so bad for her! :scared: That A/C was very much appreciated though...and my school bread was still delicious!

Hahaha why thank you! That's one of our favorites.

Ah yes!! Neither do you! 11 days for me!!! :dance3:

CAUGHT UP! Ugh the heat hahh. I hope the school bread had a nice ride on Soarin'. So glad it got to go hang gliding before its untimely death.

Yay I'm finally all caught up, and am loving hearing your side of all these stories.

I love the dancing pics on Test Track...too funny.

Sunshine Seasons looks amazing as always, as does the school bread...can't wait for Disney food next month:goodvibes

Yay for Nat and the school bread both enjoying their first rides on soarin :rotfl:

Can't wait for more

YAY! Thank you! (:

Thanks! We're frumps.

It's SOOO good! Aw yay I'm so excited for you!! :dance3:

They both loved it!

That church looks lovely...and YAY for getting to drive back in the gates!
Because we all know that's the best fun ever! aaaand we're back!

All signs should be purple...agreed.
Makes everything more magical!

That ,my friend, is a very attractive muffin....

That is so lovely that the castmember got you fastpasses! Being forgetful is not always a curse! Hooray!
Although he doesn't look super happy in the photo- at least he came up with the goods :lmao:

Good work for explaining the rules to your mother- no dancing is so important.
Clearly you are using reverse psychology to teach her this important lesson.

Ahhhhh I want the monorail set in my house- or the real monorail around my house...that would work too. I can see how the excitement of seeing it running would make you forget your camera. That much awesomeness does crazy things to one's brain...

Hahaha I love the fact that the school bread got fanned! Poor overheated little SB- He needs all the cool air he can get! I am sure he would do the same for you! Did it taste any different all warm and melty? Either way I am glad he enjoyed his first ride on Soarin before getting devoured.

It's so pretty! I was glad to be back though.

Definitely! The world would be so much prettier.

That muffin was SO good. <3

I know! It totally worked out for us! YAY! He was a frump haha.

Oh thanks. That was exactly it! She didn't want to look like she was trying to act like a teenager by dancing! HAHAHA.

Oh how lovely that would be...right though? I was distracted by the amazing transportation! DUH.

Haha thanks. It was melting! Not really...it cooled off in line for Soarin' and it tasted delicious!

You have less than a week - how exciting!!! [where's the dancing banana dude? You get this guy instead --->>:mickeyjum]

Have you started to pack yet? A few more days and I'm busting out the suitcases and starting to load them up. :thumbsup2

You are too cute! Ok, I won't mistake your busy-ness for not being excited about the trip so that you have to throw a bunch of clothes in your bag before you head out the door kinda people!!! :lmao:

[you are nocturnal too! :rotfl:]

Haha thanks! :goodvibes No not at all! I wish I had time to just pack now! But I usually do pack the night before. I look forward to it and that's when the excitement just EXPLODES! :hyper:

I am nocturnal! I was actually surprised that you were awake too! I frequently refer to myself as "The Insomniac." I just never sleep! My brain is always too awake and my body isn't tired either.

Chapter 26- Palm Trees, Pool Time & Paradise!

August 21st, 2011

Hey everyone! I know I've been gone for a little while, but I've been building up updates for y'all to read while I'm away. And I see by the ol' ticker in the sig that I am going to Disney World in just 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Things are pretty frantic around here, because in just 58 hours I will be up and at 'em getting ready for the drive to Florida! I'm going to post a little PTR update later on today or tomorrow, so I'll give you all the details then! For now, here are some updates to keep ya busy while I'm frumpin' around the World!

We got back to CSR and the sun was as bright as it could be!

dsc0501e.jpg

dsc0502fi.jpg

dsc0503j.jpg

We headed up to my room to change.

dsc0504ig.jpg

The view from Paradise:
dsc0511lv.jpg

We changed super quickly and headed straight for the Casitas quiet pool!

dsc0512n.jpg

We jumped right in!

dsc0513i.jpg

dsc0514yt.jpg

dsc0517q.jpg

It was so nice to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine from the cool pool!

dsc0519fyy.jpg

dsc0521eh.jpg

The palm trees were particularly beautiful that day!

dsc0523ll.jpg

dsc0524a.jpg

Oh how I wish I was there right now! It's pretty chilly and dreary here today. Ah well. 3 DAYS!

dsc0525dc.jpg

dsc0527cc.jpg

dsc0530im.jpg

Meanwhile, in EPCOT...

Mom and Scott were having fun exploring the countries and socializing with Vikings!

dscn0122ah.jpg

dscn0123oy.jpg

We stayed down by the pool for about an hour, and then said ta-ta for now to Nat and Jess! Sarah and I had to go get ready for dinner, and as Jess' and Nat's ADR wasn't until a little later, they had extra time at the pool. See ya later Frumps!

Sarah and I headed up to the room to find Mom and Scott already there, getting ready. We all cleaned up and headed to the bus stop, where we waited about 10-15 minutes for a bus to the Magic Kingdom!

dsc05011d.jpg

We got to MK and headed straight for the boat launches!

Which one? Well you'll just have to wait and see!

Chapter 27- "WE NEED KETCHUP!!!"

August 21st, 2011

We saw that a boat was there so we ran to it, hopped on, and were on our way to the Wilderness Lodge!

dsc05013ni.jpg

dsc05019t.jpg

dsc05020js.jpg

dscn0128j.jpg

The boat ride was leisurely and comfortable. There was a nice breeze, and we met a precious little family that lived about an hour away from us, in the same little town as my cousins! It was awesome!

We got to WL at about 5:15 and, as none of us had ever been there, took our time and enjoyed the atmosphere.

dsc05027oje.jpg

dsc05035uc.jpg

dsc05040g.jpg

The resort is beautiful! It really feels like an excape and a mountain retreat, minus the heat, of course. I loved the theming!

dscn0130y.jpg

dscn0129r.jpg

dsc05041az.jpg

We walked inside to the lobby and I almost died from the sheer beauty of it all.

dscn0132ub.jpg

dscn0134u.jpg

dsc05061y.jpg

I LOVE Wilderness Lodge!! It's so beautiful! The lobby is absolutely stunning! It's my dream to stay there at Christmastime someday, because it has such a wintry feel and I bet the decorations would be absolutely incredible.

After we'd had our fill of sheer beauty, we checked in to Whispering Canyon for dinner!

After waiting only a couple minutes, we were led to the back of the restaurant which gave us a great view of the lobby and a nice, big table!

Our server was Joey from Las Vegas and he was a hoot!

He gave us a moment to look over the menu and brought our drinks in the meantime.

dsc05064x.jpg

Sarah and I ordered milkshakes. I got a chocolate one and Sarah had vanilla.

dsc05078e.jpg

dsc05079it.jpg

dsc05080u.jpg

They were the best milkshakes ever! Mom kept sneaking sips of mine because she declared it the BEST milkshake she had ever had! They were fabulous! So thick, rich and fantastic!

Mom and Scott had raspberry and mango smoothies, but that did not mean that they couldn't help us out with our shakes!

dsc05086by.jpg

dsc05087df.jpg

Joey came back over to take our orders. It was time to CHOW!

Chapter 27- "WE NEED KETCHUP!!!" Part 2!

August 21st, 2011

Mom, Scott and I ordered the Skillet, and Sarah ordered the NY Strip.

Before we got our meals, though, the prelude to the Skillet came out for all of us!

dsc05081i.jpg

dsc05084i.jpg

Some delicious cornbread and nice, fresh salad were the first items out! We all loved them!

Next out was a nice bowl of coleslaw! As well as a nice (non blurry) picture of the salad!

dsc05083mz.jpg

dsc05085fx.jpg

dsc05088i.jpg

Pretty soon, our entrees arrived!

The skillet:
dsc05092ql.jpg

Some of my selections from it:
dsc05094lk.jpg

Sarah's Strip Steak:
dsc05093fd.jpg

Now, something was wrong here. There was something lacking...

Anyone want to guess what it is?

..................

No one?

It was KETCHUP!

I summoned Joey over and told him that we needed some ketchup. He took us into the main dining room, where we all screamed "WE NEED KETCHUP!!!" to the room at large. They responded quite quickly and Sarah and I were soon struggling to carry TEN bottles back to the table.

It ended up looking like this:
dsc05090b.jpg

Much better! We all settled down to enjoy our food, which was so yummy! Sarah's steak was a runner-up to the Le Cellier filet, it was THAT good. Juicy, tender, and those veggies were nice and fresh. Our skillet was wonderful too! Mom is more of a sweet BBQ fan, and the ribs were more smoky, so she wasn't a huge fan, but I was! The pulled pork was also amazing!!! It was all just really good!

dscn0135i.jpg

Before we could even think about dessert, we heard the cry for ketchup! Joey came to tell us to move it, but I was already halfway across the room. I'm a Frump Joey, don't you know about my speed-walking skills!?

Apparently not.

We brought all 10 bottles into the room and gave nine of them to this totally awesome family who was video taping us. It was fabulous.

Sarah went back to the table but I still had one bottle left. I heard the cry once more! I gave the table my ketchup bottle and the waitress there thanked me and said that she had some cute boys for me to meet. She walked me over to the table and they said hi and we chatted for a minute. She was right- they were very cute! (:

Once I got back to the table Joey told me to stop flirting and order dessert. Okay then!

Mom and I both ordered a most anticipated dessert- the S'mores Cheesecake!

dsc05101xa.jpg

dsc05103vc.jpg

This was fantastic!! Such a winning combo! I ate as much of it as my stomach could possibly hold and then some- it was that good!

Scott had the Apple Pie!

dsc05104g.jpg

dsc05105kn.jpg

He loved this! He said it was delicious!

Sarah had the Kahlua Chocolate Cake!

dsc05109x.jpg

She loved this! So chocolatey, so rich and so moist!

And, since I had put Sarah's birthday on this reservation, she got a second dessert!

dscn0140h.jpg

That's our awesome waiter!

dscn0139a.jpg

dsc05115o.jpg

She loved it! The frosting was REALLY good.

We really enjoyed our meal at Whispering Canyon. I would totally go back just for the atmosphere and the amazing cheesecake!

After dinner, Sarah and I looked around the gift shop and pin traded a little. I got a UK Flag Mickey head pin!

I also took a picture with the totem pole and rubbed this guy's nose, as I heard that it was good luck!
dsc05118k.jpg

We went outside to catch a boat over to MK!

dsc05120v.jpg

dsc05121v.jpg

We only waited a few minutes for a boat, and we were on our way!

Chapter 28- A Most Magical Evening!

August 21st, 2011

Jess and Nat got to MK a little before we did, so they took some beautiful pictures of Main Street!

dsc0558xr.jpg

dsc0561ro.jpg

dsc0562ns.jpg

dsc0567qf.jpg

dsc0569x.jpg

We decided to meet up at Town Square Theater!

dsc0570b.jpg

This time, when I went in, I knew they would be in there! No surprises today!

It turned out that the Cast Member who had been the Videographer for the surprise was there that night and he remembered us! (How could he not? It was quite a Frumpy event.) He asked if we were having a good time and we chatted for a few. I even pin traded with him for a Hades pin! My favorite Villain!

After that, we decided to venture over to Tomorrowland!

dsc0574qf.jpg

We all agreed on the Carousel of Progress! I love this ride! It's such a classic.

dsc0578o.jpg

It was precious as always! I totally wish that I could steal that adorable lil' Rover.

Next was a leisurely ride on the TTA!

dsc0579xo.jpg

(Insert Jess complaining about the new voiceover here.)

Hehe. ;)

We decided to do Buzz after that! Never enough Toy Story for Nat!

dsc0581rd.jpg

dsc0584f.jpg

dsc0585cc.jpg

We're frumps. But we're only pretending, I swear!

dsc0586ws.jpg

Next, we headed to Fantasyland, where us kids took a spin on the Mad Tea Party!

dsc0591aw.jpg

dsc0587d.jpg

No dancing?

dsc0589d.jpg

YEAH RIGHT!

dsc0590y.jpg

It was a Deer Face sort of tea party. Everyone wore Harem pants and drank Huggies.

It was awesome.

Since we were all spinning from the tea cups, we decided to enhance the dizziness by visiting Sarah's all-time fave film-based-attraction: Dumbo!

dsc0592d.jpg

The child was overjoyed!

Chapter 29- "They're There...And Over There!"

August 21st, 2011

After Dumbo, Wishes was just about to begin! We decided to stay in Fantasyland and watch. The view was so different from there! We saw the fireworks up by the Castle and then some that were much farther away. It was so different, but so cool because we were surrounded by them. The spinning continued because I was constantly turning around to see it all! It was beautiful.

"Well I'll be, IT'S THE BLUE FAIRY!"

-dies/cries of laughter and joy-

dsc05221q.jpg

dsc05222e.jpg

After the new perspective on the magical classic, we decided to visit another classic that is now (sadly) extinct.

dsc0635ft.jpg

We enjoyed visiting Snow and her pals, and then we headed to Tomorrowland!

We saw a Cast Member drawing characters on the pavement. He even posed for a picture with it!

dsc0636d.jpg

dsc0638ft.jpg

We basically walked on Space!

dsc0639ux.jpg

dsc0640xd.jpg

I love these frumpy screens.

dsc00210py.jpg

We walked back into Fantasyland and decided to take a detour into the Hundred Acre Wood!

dsc0642ey.jpg

We visited Eeyore's Gloomy Place:
dscn0142pt.jpg

And Rabbit's Garden:
dscn0143t.jpg

"I'm just a little black rain cloud..."

dsc0646lc.jpg

"It feels like a rather blustery day..."

dsc0647ul.jpg

"Silly willy nilly old bear!"

dsc0648ai.jpg

We said goodbye to Pooh and Friends and went to the Haunted Mansion where we paid our respects to Master Gracey. Afterward, Mom, Scott and Sarah headed back to Coronado Springs (or Corona Springs as Scott likes to call it...or Corando Springs as Nat likes to call it!)

They're such frumps. :P

We said goodnight to them and set off to Praise the Lord!
