Hi there everybody! I'm back!!! Allie and I got in last night, and we had the most INCREDIBLE time! This was definitely one of my best trips EVER! I met some awesome people, did SO many new things, and ate some fantastic food! It was such a magical and wonderful trip, and I can't wait to share it with all of you! For now, though, let's get back to last August!
Since we were all out really late the night before, we slept in until 10:30 that morning! I think that's the latest I've EVER slept in Disney! It was crazy! We all got up and got ready and jumped on a bus to EPCOT!
We got there in no time and Scott and Sarah thought they'd be funny and pretend that Spaceship Earth was a giant baseball. They're such frumps.
We headed straight for the World Showcase, where we stopped in the Port of Entry store to look around. Mom ended up buying some Mickey earrings, and Sarah found herself a cute new pair of shoes.
Unfortunately, it was just too hot to wear them!
We headed into Canada after that and checked into our lunch ADR!
We were so excited! We had heard awesome things about Le Cellier and couldn't wait to try it out!
We went through the gardens to the restaurant, which were absolutely beautiful!
We waited a couple minutes and were seated in Alberta. Tanya was our server and she was from Vancouver! We ordered smoothies as they were included on the
DDP! We tried mango and strawberry. They were delicious!
Tanya also brought some bread to the table.
YUM. We loved it! The pretzel bread was our favorite though. My mom still raves about it. A local grocery store to us actually just introduced pretzel bread to its bakery, but alas, it's just not the same. ): Ah well, something to look forward to! That stuff is just sooo good! It was especially delicious dipped in this:
Sarah got this with her meal because she ordered from the three course menu, but we all ended up sharing it! It was fantastic! I made it at home a few months ago and it turned out pretty well! Almost identical to theirs. I was pretty proud of that accomplishment.
We all ended up ordering the same entree, aside from Sarah. She had the Sauteed Potato Gnocchi with spring vegetables, buffalo mozzarella and tomato broth. She loved it! It was fresh and savory at the same time. A really good balance and a nice twist on a pasta dish.
The rest of us went the more traditional route and had the famous Wild Mushroom Filet Mignon. I had mine with cream cheese mashed potatoes as opposed to the risotto, as I wanted to try them both. We all LOVED this dish. The filet basically melts in your mouth and both the risotto and the potatoes are an amazing complement! It was phenomenal! I'm pretty sure Scott and Mom were licking their plates!
No matter how full we were, dessert was still on the way! I went the classic route and got the Chocolate "Moose" for mine. It was delicious! The mousse was the perfect consistency, the presentation was so clever, and they even decorated the plate for my birthday! It was great!
Sarah ordered the Seasonal Sorbet for her dessert, which was peach! It was so refreshing, delicious, and perfect for a light end to a heavy meal.
Mom decided to try another Le Cellier classic, the Maple Creme Brulee. She loved it! The flavors were spot on, as was the consistency. Perfect!
Scott went with the Bumbleberry Cobbler, which was unique but so yummy! The flavor was a little tart, but balanced out well by the ice cream it was served with. He loved it!
All of us absolutely LOVED Le Cellier. The service, atmosphere and food were excellent, and it has become a family favorite. We can't wait to go back in August!
We decided to head to the KidCot Fun Stop so Sarah could color her own Duffy!
Mom and I helped her, she got it stamped, and we headed off to explore Canada!
I love the mountains and waterfalls in this pavilion. They're so beautiful!
We decided to go see O Canada since we were right there!
I thought it was awesome! I loved the surrounding screen, and I LOVE Martin Short! He's brilliant. The Father of the Bride movies are some of my favorites. It was awesome to see him represented in the parks!
After that, we stopped by the UK for a quick visit!
I love the drawings they do on the pavement! I always participate in the hopscotch.
Sarah got her Duffy stamped, we looked around the shoppes, and I pin traded a little. After that, we decided to head back to CSR because it looked like it was going to rain.
