I don't understand???

Hi,
I have read this board for a long time, even made a couple of post but when I do they seem to be ignored. This is not some attention problem or anything it is just I have played VMK since Day 1 and it seems when I try to talk to people or make friends I am left out, like I dont belong to your special clique so you will ignore me. I always ask people what thier favorite movies are in "real life" because I know if its a disney movie this person must be a person with a light heart and a belief in magic but I find that VMK for me can be a cold place. I am 19, i love disney movies still, I still believe in magic, happy ever afters, all that great stuff but I just seem to not be able to make any good friends like I see alot of you have found in vmk.

I will continue to play vmk and read dis, It would just be nice If I could have some vmk friends.

I have to say i have not run into you in vmk yet. Shame as you seem like a nice guy. Are you usually on more during the day or night? All you have to do is search the room list for dis and usually you will find some people from here hanging out. Just hang out and get to know people, let them get to know you. Hey at one point i didnt know anybody here at all, but i started to see people, said hi, and started to make some friends. I hung in the background a lot at first, but people started to talk to me more and get to know me. Some people never did warm up to me, but just as in real life it happens i guess. There are still people i see post every day on this board that i just have not made friends with, mostly because they are either on at different times than me, or they are not in a room where i am. I noticed last night, for example, that a group of us were in a certain room, but then when i looked at the room list i saw two more pretty crowded rooms with dis people. So it's not like we all are always together, we get spread out quite a bit. Especialy during the day.

So look for us, thats about the only advice i can give. I am sure there are a lot of people here on the dis, myself included, that would like to get to know ya a bit, rather than just see your posts on the dis.

Thanks moussedude, I def. will hang out more in the Dis rooms. I went to the mule ball and I always search "dis" so I am sure I will meet some nice dis people like yourself. I appreciate your reply and will look for you in vmk. I have to go out now but will be on maybe later,

As Mr. MousseDude said we are definitely all on at different times!
You can also use our vmk names to look us up under the room search.
I don't know if everyone has 'Dis' in the room name.

I'm going to lock this thread now. Posts like this are off topic on the VMK forum, and not helpful to the fun and friendly atmosphere here on the DIS.

It takes time for people to start recognizing others on the DIS. Just keep on posting and keep on participating in discussions, and people will recognize you. It takes more than 20 or 30 posts for people to start recognizing you as a regular poster.

The DIS is full of wonderful people who are super friendly and helpful! Give them time to get to know you!
