Don't get me wrong - I'm very happy that I got $225 off my reservation without having to change resorts (POFQ). It's just that I keep seeing people saving twice that or more with similar packages and I don't get why.

Out of curiosity I also had the CM check WL rates with the code and she came back with $2850. Someone else posted that they got AKL for the same number of nights, same number of days on the tix, with dining for $2400 PLUS hoppers and insurance (which wasn't included in my quote). Why?

Help!

I noticed the same thing. People with pretty much the same thing with twice the discount :confused3 . I'm glad I got any discount but I sure wish I knew how they come up with the discount amount. I have seen alot of guessing on the different posts but I don't think anyone got anything directly from the mouse's mouth. I was trying to help my sister determine how much she could get off if it became available to the public but I'm clueless.

im the one with the akl package. Im going during value season. 2adults 1 14yr old. we had the pool view room booked (not deluxe pool view) we have the pass with the park hopper option only and dinning. We are there for 5 nights/6 days. the total for all this before the dv package was even out was $2700 (cant remember the exact amount, but it was a little over $2700. My other post shows the exact amount. It looks like maybe she was quoting you WL w/out the discount. Im not sure. I wish I could be more help.

I also booked and had a deposit before all the ticket increases. I have no idea if this makes a difference or not.

I think the difference is between value and regular season. The rates vary signifigantly, as do the discounts. Both of those seasons are part of this offer.
