"man honey, we should buy now.........this is a great deal, look how much we are saving off the regular price".

A price increase would usually mean good sales, or even that sales are on target, but I would think DVC is smater than to raise prices on a product that isn't selling.![]()

And as for those who wonder why there would be a price increase if sales are poor, it's so that they continue to offer these great discounts. If they were going well, do you think they would need to offer 15% off?
So sales may pick up a little for a couple weeks, but then the price increase actually goes into effect and sales come to a screeching hault.Daitcher said:Raising the price gives the appearance that sales are going well and helps move some off the fence. It is a hard sell tactic without appearing that way. The guide says "Just wanted to give you a heads up that the price is increasing to $101 dollars on x date." Seems like he is doing you a favor.
The outward indications to me are that sales are not going that well in DVD's eyes, they do tend to have inflated expectations. We've also had some indirect, but ? inside, collaboration. One person posted in the last day or two that their guide, since fired, said the same. I realize a possible disgruntled employee is not the most reliable source of information but you can bet they know a lot more than likely any of us would. The other is that, as I posted previously, I have a source that is second hand but inside and has always been accurate. And my source has never been on the cutting edge, they never float things that are just happening. But everyone can believe what they want.Maistre Gracey said:Dave, how can you be so certain that sales are not going well?
