Why do people enjoy horror movies? I think they are stupid myself. I mean, they make no sence.

If someone is being chased in a house, they always run in a closet and hide. Either that, or they run upstairs where they can't get away.

Also, no matter how many times you kill the stupid thing, the monster/demon/whatever ALWAYS comes back.

It doesn't matter how fast your running. The stumbling thing moving half a mile and hour ALWAYS catches up to you.

The black guy always gets killed.

The people that deserve to get killed never do.

And so on. So, what is your take on the matter?

I kinda agree with you..
the back guy/girl always get either killed or killed first.. ALWAYS!

and I wish there was a movie that had a twist.. not just the same thing over and over again..

Signs. Or any of the other movies that that guy made. Those are the type of "horror" movies I like. The Psychological Thrillers.

I LOVE horror movies. I dont' watch them to get scared though. I watch them because I think they are hilarous.

I am a real psychological thriller fan too. But I love intelligent horror movies, like Saw.

yea but those get in your head and its really really scary. those are the kinds of movies i need to watch with guys around, because for some reason i feel more safe that way.

I wanted to see those so bad. It was something new. The killer didn't actually kill the victims. So does that make him a killer? It would leave you will questions.

I also like the Cube movies for anybody who's seen them. Great twist at the end of the first one.

in Saw(i only saw the first one) he isnt really a killer, he just tries to get even with people. idk its weird, you have to see it.

He never tried to get even with anyone. He took people who "wanted to die" and gave them the choice. He took people that were killing themselves and gave them the chance to do it, but he never tried to get even with anyone.

So he basically took suicidal people and showed them that they really don't want to die?

So he's really a hero. :confused3

all depends on how you look at it.

Jigsaw was a man who, he himself was dying. He didn't want to, but he didn't have the choice. He showed the people that were killing themselves taht they HAD a choice, that he himself could never have.

He was a genius and he devised things that would be near impossible for them to escape, but if they did, they walked away with their lives.

few did walk away with their lives though.

It really depends on what side of it you are looking at to see if Jigsaw was a murderer or a hero.

i thought that the one guy that like sawed off his foot wasnt paying enough attention to his family or something and he was like you diserve to die, or see what it would be like to die or something like that. idk, i havent seen it since like last year. so w/e

The Dr was taking life for granted. He was for lack of better phrasing, living a lie. Its not that he was a bad person, or even a bad parent, but he was ungrateful. Like Jigsaw said, "you spend your life telling people that they are going to die" Jigsaw had a personal vendetta against this man. He was the man that couldn't keep jigsaw alive. The whole game WAS about Dr Gordon. every death, came back to him.

The Others was awesome. I still can't believe the ending. I loved the Village. People that were in the movie theatres with me at the time pretty much thought it sucked, but I think they were expecting like...slasher. But really, taken at psychological standpoint it really is great.

Sad Fact about me:
I watch horror movies to get scared and yet i don't....but then at me G.S. troop that were all acting demented and looked like they were going to eat me or something....and that''s when i got scared...
so anyways, i don't watch horror movies now..

I for one watch scary movies to prove how there not scary. That back fired twice, however. :scared:

I love M. Night. The Village, Signs, and The 6th Sense are my favorite movies.
I don't know. I haven't seen many horror movies. I want to see When A Stranger Calls, but I don't think anyone else in my family wants to see it, adn i'm not going alone, so I'll wait for it to come to DVD.
