I check the weather channel this morning, hoping its more accurate than weather.com. Sunny all day today! Great!
Well its 7:15am.. time to get up! Gotta get to the Astronauts Museum, and Cocoa Beach!!

Hmm.. I see Im gonna go through this every morning.
8 was ok yesterday.. Ill let her sleep. I wash up.. do my makeup.. put my hair up, and then do the books.
Every year I get a journal book to keep my receipts and running tally of money spent, and from where it was spent (debit card, credit card, cash). This year, DD has one too. I told her she has $20 a day to spend on whatever she wants. She can save money from one day to another, or borrow ahead in case there was something more expensive she really wanted. She loved that responsibility
and kept her book for almost the first full week... I guess because she only had the one source of money, shed just figured it out in her head. Id give her $20 in the morning
and when she spent some, shed count the change. Sure, make sense.. dont use my tried and true more complicated method. She wound up saving from day to day a few times. She had saved over $60 at one point. She did well with her money, and somehow, did well with mine too!

for her souvenirs (though she did sneak and bought me a zebra pen (I love zebras) with her own money). I was responsible for food or snacks not covered by
ddp, others souvenirs, any clothing we might buy (lots of T-shirts!), and
things that I really wanted to buy for her, because

One year we had to run to
Walmart to purchase, not 1, but 2 expandable rolling duffle bags to take home all the extras that we bought! And, every time weve gone Ive always had to buy another expandable rolling duffel bag. I think Ill open a used duffle bag store.
Well this year
I was NOT buying another duffle bag. I was determined. I was certain.
No. No way. I packed each of us a suitcase for our clothes.. and a large suitcase with shareables
stuff, not clothes, for both of us, and left it mostly empty so wed have room for souvenirs. Weve been to Disney a few times before (a total of 53 days!) How much more can we buy that we dont have? So, Im prepared.. we got most of a large suitcase

Darn that AK Dinosaur ride where every year DD buys a different LARGE dinosaur. Its a tradition you know. This year T-Rex had the honors. The Tricera-Huh? You got a dinosaur, one per year, remember? Oh but this isnt a big one, these dont come big? It looks big to me
fine, its your money. I Dig Dinosaurs? Sure, I Dig Dinosaurs, I Make a Mess. Make sure to add that subtitle. She wants the large one
Im not buying that for you, I think it weighs like 12 lbs.. its a freaking rock. Ok, well you buy it then, make sure you have it sent to the resort, Im not carrying that around.

round Disney Character pillows that take up so much suitcase room they have this year?? Why is Pluto so cute.. what the hell is that bump on his head anyway? Donald too??!.. well yea, I like Donald but
oh, ok well say hes for me then. A Beaver? A Disney Beaver?!?.. oh no.. thats from Sea World. Never saw a beaver sit up like that... and I dont remember seeing one at Sea World.. maybe its an otter, maybe I dont care, its too big! And Figment

. We got us a chain gang! And we have cups of all shapes and sizes (we got them glowing and cubes to match), Sharks grill, Coral Reef, Medieval Times, Pirates Adventure, Tigger Is That You? Its glass honey, dont break it... wonder if theyll match my Pfaltzgraff?? Magnetic rocks from KSC... the moon rock sucked but these rocks rock! Ok! Freezed dried ice cream, Mission Space.. I can see Gary Sinese chowing down on it.. so tasty
we got flavas! Chocolate, mint chocolate and Neapolitan. Of course we need the traditional golden ears, got em signed by Sorcerer Mickey no less! I like the goofy eared pirate hat best.. yes, the bandana Mickey ears are nice too, hun, Im not really sure how good you look in dreadlocks, umm.. how many heads do you have?
Little things they add up

Down at the lobby gift shop, I have a bag of things Id liked mailed.. and OH.. look! I have some new packages to pick up too! I forgot all about that glass parakeet hanging thingie she had to get from POC
along with the skull filled with stuff (you pay 18 bucks, fill a skull with cheap pirate loot (I never knew pirates collected stretchy worms!) and close it. It had to close, and it wouldnt if there was any overfilling at all. But, you could stuff it till the sides were starting to give way if you put a bunch of those fake tattoo cardboard thingies over the stuff just under the hole. It holds everything back, and voile! You can close it. The CM said it was by far the heaviest skull hes held. Yo ho Yo ho

Oh, so yeah.. that came too, and it was heavy. I thought between the I Dig Dinosaurs/I Make a Mess 12 lb. rock and the heaviest skull ever stuffed , and the other stuff, that it would be a fortune to ship. But the CM carefully wrapped the bird, packed the other items.. taped it up, addressed it and shipped it for less than $20! I thought that was great!
I went up to the room, so proud that we wouldnt have to buy a suitcase

DD: remember you told me to get all my stuff off the chairs and table. So I cleaned up and put it in the closet.
I think I fainted.
So, with that forgotten bag.. and the laundry that wasnt done and I forgot about, also in the closet
. We bought another rolling duffle bag. Purple this time. For a change.
