Couldn't agree more. Well said.I just fail to understand all the panic threads. Change fastpass, and you would think they are demolishing the castle or something.
The whole world of Disney is falling down around us because we have to wait in queue lines now. Rides are shutting down, it's going to rain the week of your visit because FP+ is glitching, monorails will derail, buses will run off bridges, planes will fall from the sky, people will die in the streets because their ADR was wrong and they couldn't eat because somehow FP has something to do with ADR....Might as well just lay in a ditch somewhere.
Reminds me of some of my guys at our restoration company calling the office telling me the nail gun is broken, so we can't work on this and that. Dear God, how did houses appear before nail guns!?

I don't care about house FP+ may affect the way I used to tour the parks...I want to go to Disney World!
I don't care that I may not be able to ride everything I want...I want to go to Disney World!
I don't care that my daughter with autism will have to wait longer...I want to go Disney World!
I don't care the Cast Members may not be as happy or cheerful or jolly or whatever...I want to go to Disney World!
I don't care that the food may be declining in quality...I want to go to Disney World!
I don't care what ride is going to be closed...I want to go to Disney World!
I don't care about all that Wendy Whiner stuff...I want to go to Disney World!
Okay, adult hissy fit now over.
YESI don't know what is going to happen with crowds or FP+, I do know my son is coming home from Afganistan and we are going to Disneyworld, and that is the most amazing thing in the world!
Woo Hoo!!! Hope you have a MAGICAL time!!! Thank him for his service!!!
This year has been the worst we have ever had. DFIL fell in January & broke his hip. Our dog got hit by a car & dislocated her hip. DFIL fell 3 days before he was to be released & broke his other hip. We had to reschedule our 30th Anniversary trip because DH had a health issue & DFILs health. Then DMIL got sick & had major health problems. A tree fell on their house the day she had stents put in. Sometime in the middle of all of this, our dryer quit, our washer quit & DSs brakes on his truck quit. Thankfully he was able to stop & DB helped him get them fixed. Then my in-laws passed away 3 days apart. This doesn't even begin to list the sleepless nights spent at hospitals and nursing homes. Or the 7 trips I made taking or being with others to the ER this year. Oh, and cancelled 2 other vacations. So, yeah, WDW is a great place. Nothing can get me down once we actually get there. I've already told DH that I'll probably cry all the way down Main Street USA. So if none of our FP+ work, no ADRs work or the buses at POP are slow, it's all good! It's Disney!

SA mom must stand for Super Awesome mom!! Thanks for the good vibes!!:
All I can say, is wow. I don't think it's possible for one more bad thing to happen to your family, at least for the rest of the year. That's terrible all that happening around the same time. I don't know when your trip is, but have a great time and escape!!

... I have a child with autism too and on our last trip he wanted to stay at the MK train station balcony just to stare at the castle and watch people walking down Main Street, so we all happily spent 30 minutes just admiring the view and being in awe of the castle and also in that moment the fact that we were able to take our four kids back to this place and I have to say that was one of the highlights of our recent trip

11 days, and I'm ( a 160lb bald headed man) squealing like a girl on valentines day.
