Many would say this is an ignorant way of approaching a trip that you've spent so much money on. To that I say- Ignorance is bliss baby! I don't care about house FP+ may affect the way I used to tour the parks...I want to go to Disney World! I don't care that I may not be able to ride everything I want...I want to go to Disney World! When I read all these negative comments... I just roll my eyes!!! It's gotten to the point where I don't even get on the Theme Parks thread!

Leaving in 32 days for a week with my sister and grandmother!! A very chill, stopping to smell the roses, MVMCP, family trip!! I'm thankful to be able to have this time with my grandmother (who is 76) while we can!! We'll have a scooter so watch out (she is notorious for running into bushes) but we'll keep her in line...promise!! lol

We (me, husband, twin daughters) took my mom with us to Disneyland last year at age 81. It was her first visit (ours, too). We got her the 1st visit button and she received so much attention from the parade performers. She smiled all day. We also rented her a scooter. She drove us into the ground! We were ready for a break, but she made us keep going. My mom, Theme Park Commando!

Honestly, I don't think we would have cared if we rode a single ride that day, just being together in such a beautiful place with all the smiling people was absolutely glorious!

I wish you a glorious trip and I hope your grandmother doesn't drive you into the ground, too.

It's really ironic to me. I don't think I've ever seen a group of people on a message board for something they supposedly LOVE, be so negative about said entity and bash it into the ground for its practices.

We are going again March/April 2014 we are looking forward to it. Just got to customize our Magic Bands. Which I am really excited about, I chose red so I can add Minnie Mouse accessories and it matches. I am going to say it again, really excited about the red magic band.

I can't wait to get back to our favorite vacation spot and back to our DVC home Animal Kingdom Lodge. I just want to see Disney World again live. Pictures and videos do not do it justice. You have to be there to feel it.

We will be celebrating our son's High School Graduation early and Our 18th wedding anniversary.

This made me tear up! Good on you…and even more importantly, good on your son for his service!

We haven't been to WDW for 5 years because it's just too far and expensive for us to make even annual trips. I'm reading all the threads to try and keep up with the changes but every negative post still can't dampen our spirits or quell our excitement.

I've already posted - but I'm down to 20 days till I get to my magic place. WDW really helps me unwind - I don't overplan - I'm not getting magic bands, FP+ or even fastpass - I just want to be there.

I have plans for 2 nights - MVMCP on Dec. 10th(can't wait never got to do this before) and dinner in Italy(the pizzeria, fabulous food) and Candlelight Processional on the 13th. After the fireworks that night I plan on walking around World Showcase with a glass of wine(it's Epcot EMH night) and enjoying the twinkling lights and Christmas decorations.

All other days of the trip will be played by ear - depending upon what we want to do that day. It's vacation at the best place to be and I will fo home with my sanity and patience restored for a little while.

We love AKL, I hope you like it as much as we do. I love the theme and the animals. Love the smell when you walk up to Kidani and the underground parking garage. I will miss the parking garage because we are staying Jambo instead of kidani. We drive our van or rent a car when we are there if we fly.

We cant wait. Coming all the way from the UK....DONT CARE ABOUT FP+ OR QUEUES OR ANYTHING....just imaging our family ritual...straight to MK, quick hotdog at Caseys and then straight on POTC!!

We are staying in POFQ (never been there before, but everyone says its great!) and just seen that EMH's are out for next June...so planning starts tonight.

We won't have a car but maybe we will go to the garage just to get a smell
