Day 3: June 18, 2008
Epcot Day...And after that day, we decided it officially hates us.
When we got up, we got ready and headed to our bus stop. It was looking pretty dark/cloudy out so we were hoping the rain would go around us or hold out until we were sleeping later that night!
Here we are on the bus:
I love taking pictures of the banners:
Here's are traditional Epcot picture:
I can't remember when we did everything, but I can tell you what we mainly did. We did go on Spaceship Earth because it was last year it was closed and we wanted to see the new additions! The video at the end of our "future" was hilarious. Sis and I rode together and we were laughing during the whole video.
We also did Nemo because we love that ride! The only thing I don't like is the line: you think you're getting close to the front and then you enter another room!

Sometime in there, we went to TT and got fast passes. After getting fast passes, we went to the Electric Umbrella and ate lunch because we had never eaten there before. We usually eat at the Sunshine Seasons, but I wanted to be a rebel and try something new.

And just a tip: when you eat there, be sure to go upstairs! While it was packed downstairs, we found so many empty tables upstairs! We got one right next to the big glass wall so we could people watch as we ate. While we were eating, these guys had come out down below on the other side of the glass wall. They were playing the drums and singing on these garbage cans. Does anyone know who they are?
As we were done eating.....that's when it hit....the RAIN!

It never fails, every time we are at Epcot, it rains the whole day! So we decided that we weren't going to let a little rain ruin our day. We started walking past TT and it started raining HARDER. So we went over by the TT gift shop and sat under the enterance roof. And sat.....And sat....And sat. Here we are sitting:
And here's some crazy people running around. I was afraid one of them was going to fall and break something!
We decided to head into the gift shop when it looked like it wasn't going to be a typical Florida short-n-sweet shower. Of course, sis made me get in the cars with her:
While here, I bought a new hat for B/F because he always gets one here every year. Now, I don't know if this is true but I'm just saying what the CM there told us: He said that lightening had struck somewhere and shut down all the rides at all 4 parks! We asked if we can still use our fast passes even way after our return time if TT doesn't start back up. And he said we could, but it might be awhile before they get things running again.
Finally, the rain had cleared! We walked out of the gift shop and could hear the TT cars going by overhead. They had started?! We saw people getting in the fast pass return line and decided to get in it because our time had passed. It was a pretty long line, but we didn't care. Soon, we noticed we weren't moving anywhere and looked up front and the doors to TT were closed! People started going up to the CM's and asking what the deal was. We heard someone say that the CM's said that TT is still closed and the reason cars are going by is because they have to get all of the cars back in sync with each other before they can begin loading again. Soon the stand-by line was going WAY past us and soon we couldn't even see the end! By this time, everyone decided to start sitting down. And this is when we came to the conclusion: Epcot officially hates us.
We sat there for who knows how long. Soon, people in front of us started leaving. We were working our way up to the front and sis and I told mom that we weren't leaving this line unless the CM's tell us that TT won't be open for the rest of the day. People kept leaving....and finally when they opened the ride, we were second family in line!
After we got off, we decided to walk around the world before ending up in Canada, which is where we were eating dinner.
Well...we made it to about France and it started POURING again. We sat under a table with an umbrella and hoped it would be gone soon.
We started shivering...and our ADR was fastly approaching so we decided to make a run for it all the way to Canada. Okay we weren't really running, more like speed walking.

We were SOAKED by the time we made to it Le Cellier. This was our first time ever eating there. And of course, the place was air conditioned so I was freezing the whole time. But, we had a great waiter and the food was wonderful! So, we decided that this was going to be a ADR for us next year. When we emerged, nighttime had arrived:
We were going to catch a boat and head over to DHS (MGM for us) for evening EMH's. After getting off the boat at MGM, we decided we were all so tired that we wanted to call it a night since we were going to MGM again tomorrow.
Up next: DHS and dinner at the Poly
