I rarely see all star sports pictures here and I have always wanted to try that resort. So far everything looks really nice. I think the surfs up section is super cute. I hope you guys enjoyed your stay there.

Thanks. The love bugs were really bad that first weekend and then it seemed to get better. (or else we got used to them )

We hadn't seen many pictures of Sports so we took a lot to share. The Surf section was our favorite. Very cute

Yay - the actual start of the trip and the arrival! I've never stayed at All Star before so it's neat to see pics of it.

Gross and double ick to the love bugs. I remember seeing those one year in May and was so grossed out. Ugh.

Yes the plane was really disgusting! Luckily though we had booked Delta for the return flight so we didn't have to get on another one of their planes

Thank you. I love that Disney has resorts that fit all different kinds of tastes and budgets. There is something for everyone

I am loving reading your trip report. So sorry about the airplane and how dirty it was. We always fly Delta so I am sure your return flight was much better. I do also like preferred rooms. We always stay a POP and will do so again in September and we always ask for a preferred room and so far we have been lucky to get one right near the food court and the pool area.

We have stayed at All Stars resort when our children were little, and the pictures brought back memories and made me feel old since the kids are now married and we go to Disney with the grandchildren now. Looking forward to reading more and it gets me in the spirit to write my PTR...

I'm glad you've had good experiences with preferred rooms. I need to call and upgrade our August reservation.

Our children grow up much too quickly, don't they. It seems as though the years just fly by. How blessed you are though that you now have grandchildren to share Disney with!

The love bugs were awful the last time I was there! They were crawling all over everybody at the bus stops LOL... blech! I guess I'd deal with them every day for Disney though

Woohoo! So I was just reading your TR from last year and it was so fun...imagine my elation when at the end I got linked to this new one!!! I am planning a trip for my 21st birthday with my mom in August!!! Brand new to dis boards and I'm LOVING your TRs, love getting two perspectives!

That's too bad about the rain. I hope it didn't put a damper on your DIS meet! I hate those darn scanners. The first (and hopefully last) time I had to go in one, they told me they "found" something odd but then said it was okay I wondered if I had cancer or something! It's scary because they see everything on those screens! I've heard of Spirit but never flown with them. I probably won't ever now that you told me about how dirty the planes are.

I'm so sorry to hear about your scanner scare! That would scare me too!

I wish we'd get Jet Blue here because I hear really good things about them and they usually have really good prices. I won't be booking Spirit anytime soon
