I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

I'm so glad you liked our last one and are joining us on this one! How great to be going for your birthday! When in August are you going?

First day in parks will be August 15th and staying at Coronado Springs! Well...it won't actually be my birthday, that's in June but I'll be doing summer classes and August will be the first chance we get to go. I'm really TOO excited (no such thing!) First WDW trip in a long time, so we're trying to see a lot in 4 days!

We completely understand having to schedule trips around school. It will still be wonderful to celebrate your birthday! Coronado Springs is mine and Caitlin's favorite moderate. Sounds like a great time

So while we were waiting in line for a bus.. This wait seemed like it took for forever! In all actuality it was probably 10 minutes but between the rain which started up again and being anxious to get to our first park it felt a lot longer! While were waiting I called our DIS meet companions to let them know we were on our way. For those of you that read our mini PTR on our last TR we were meeting up with two stars from TheCapells TRs Mrs. Capell and her DD.

Our bus finally arrived after a very long and painful and wet wait, although we had an umbrella we used, we were headed to the Magic Kingdom!!!!
After we got off the bus I just had to soak in being in Disney and took many pictures of our walk up to the gates.

Once we passed the magical security check point my mom headed to get her ticket and I took pictures of the new banner in front of the train station.

I just love these decorations! Definitely my favorite Magic Kingdom decorations!

so glad to see you've started your new trip report - I have to get a Disney fix through other people's trips as we are probably going to be Disney-less this year I love the walk up to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom - it's like the place that the magic starts - can't wait to read more!

My mom met up with me after getting her ticket and I called Mrs. Capell. Her and DD were in line for the princesses so we headed over to meet them. Once inside the building we went through the line but didn’t see them so we decided to head back out in to the store to wait. Not before I could take pictures of the posters for Mickey’s new meet and greet area.

So cute and clever!

Back inside the store area I went around pin trading and my mom and I talked to a very cute CM. He was from Boston and we talked about what a rough winter both of our hometowns had. He also had to rub in how great Florida’s winters are. I feel that when we tell CMs we are from Michigan they get this “oh poor you” look on their face. I find it amusing because I would be doing the same thing if I lived there!

After talking to him for a while we found out we were in the wrong area to meet up with them! There was a dump shop on the other side of the store that they would let out in to. We headed over there and I fell in love with the decorations and took many pictures!

When I was done taking way too many pictures Mrs. Capell and DD walked in to the room and we began chatting like old friends. DD was being a bit shy so I figured out a great way to get her to open up. For those of you that have read past TRs it’s no secret I am addicted to pin trading. I bought 50 pins for this trip and I thought that DD would like to be my pin trading partner. She and I set out looking for lanyards and pin trading on our way to my first ride of the vacation. I am afraid I may have created a monster though because she became addicted to pin trading really fast!

I had to stop and take a picture of my first view of the Castle.

There really is no better feeling than looking at the Castle for the first time. It feels surreal yet I feel at home all of a sudden and there is that huge rush of excitement as I realize I have a full trip ahead of me!

We made our way through Tomorrowland and I had to stop and take another picture

This is becoming a common theme I took a lot of pictures on this day! This may come to haunt me later…

Before we finally got to Space Mountain we ran in to Stitch and stopped for pictures!

I always feel bad that there is no line for him I always like meeting him because it is one of the few times in my life where I feel tall

When we got to Space Mountain Mrs. Capell gave DD and I the Fast Passes that they were nice enough to get us! They had two sets so that meant twice the fun on Space Mountain! While we walked through the line DD pointed out all of the hidden magic to me. She definitely reminded me of her dad and his TRs! Before we boarded DD looked excited but nervous so with a high five she got into her seat in the front with me behind her and we took off through space!

I love this ride as long as I am not in the back

Once off the ride we checked out our picture then boarded the moving walkway to go find our moms.

It took us a little bit of time to find them but once we did we grabbed the other set of Fast Passes and headed back in to line. This time in line DD turned to me and said “ I don’t have to narrate this time.” I told her she could narrate as much as she wanted to and she did While we were waiting to board DD told me she had closed her eyes during the ride. I told her she should try to keep them open so she doesn’t miss anything. With another high five we were off riding through space.

Once we made it back to Earth DD told me she only blinked really quickly while on the ride. We again checked out our picture. It was a very cute picture of both of us with our arms up and I would have bought it if my arm wasn’t blocking a good portion of my face
We made it back to our moms and it was time to head to dinner. This is where I will leave you until the next update

I actually never took a picture of the sign in front of ToonTown We didn't really walk back that way since we aren't Tea Cup fans and we always went the long way to Tomorrowland

It was a great DIS meet and it isn't over yet!

Sooo true. I mean come on...when your in Disney you always leave with a chock full of Memories for your little ones and even your family to share with for years to come. Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom you never forget the day you walk down Main Street and see that wonderful castle and the sweet smell of the Confectionary.

Enjoyed the updates. I've never really had any interest in trying All Star Sports, but I have to admit the Surfs Up area looks pretty cool.

I haven't mentioned this in my TR yet, but while I was off the DIS, Buzz and I did a day trip to MK. We loved the new Town Square Theater. The theming throughout the whole area (queue, shops and all) were so fantastic. Enjoyed seeing you photos of the area.

Gotta try that shop by Princess meet. I only have DS 7, he would not forgive me if I make him meet Princesses but maybe he'll be ok with the shop.

I agree I always have loved seeing the Castle and there really is no other park icon that fills me with as much awe as the Castle does. I took many pictures of the Castle this trip

I loved the Surfs Up area! I thought the shell prints n the sidewalk were a very nice touch!
