oh no, that doesn't sound good. I hate being sick in general, but to be sick on vacation? That's the worst. And you think you would have been relatively safe going to a big restaurant "chain" like HOB.

That jumper is cute. I hate seeing someone else where the same stuff as me too. You always looks so cute, though. I found it way too hot to even attempt any accessories in August. I just melted.

It was pretty bad This trip definitely had it's fair share of drama

Yuck! I wonder if it was the shrimp? My mom got extremely sick one time after eating a bad shrimp! We have eaten at HOB in New Orleans but always skip in Orlando since we have one so close to us. But there is nothing worse than being sick on vacation!

I have always not liked having the same trends as everyone else. I even would go out of my way to avoid it! So I completely understand!

I think it was the shrimp because my mom ate most of them and ended up the sickest and I only had a couple and was mildly sick.

Yeah it was crazy that out of all places a girl in DTD had the same outfit as me

Hey All! So it's my turn for an update but since I don't have a whole lot to share with you this will be a joint update.
Here's my story of our last morning....

I woke up around 5:00am to the sound of my stomach rumbling LOUDLY. My first thought was "I hope I'm hungry" I wasn't. As you've already heard, I was sick. Within minutes I was running to the bathroom. Now nobody likes being sick but I hate it and I am a terrible patient. I get weepy and panicky. All I could think of was "I'm sick and I have to be on the ME in 10 hours. What if I'm not better? How do we get home? Where do we stay until I'm better?" And I was totally regretting not getting travel insurance

I ended up back in the bathroom just about every half hour. Dale and Caitlin got up and dressed and I told them to go on to Epcot without me. Afterall, it was Pixar Day and they needed to check it out. So around 8:00 they left for the bus stop and fell back asleep. Around 9:00 Caitlin texted me and told me the Pixar Event began at 11:00 and they hoped I'd make it. I hadn' t been sick in 45 minutes at that point and debated what to do.

Meanwhile at Epcot.....

My dad and I woke up and got breakfast

and headed to Epcot!

We got there before rope drop. We felt bad that mom wasn't there with us but we decided to make the best of it. When we found out that the Pixar stuff didn't start till 11 we had to decide what we were going to do!


We decided going to see our favorite characters was in order!

We ended up walking around checking out more of the flower displays. We hadn't seen the butterfly house yet so our first stop was over there.

I just loved the Bambi topiaries!

After taking way too many pictures we decided that dad needed to see Captain Eo! Yep that is two times this trip for me! What can I say I love the cheesy 80's-ness of it!

After singing along with MJ and Hooter we decided we should go wait in line for the Pixar area.

I didn't want to miss a moment with any of the special characters!

While we were waiting my dad grabbed some breakfast and a smoothie for me

We watched bratty kids upset about having to stay in line when theycould be riding Soarin' and a man behind us in a Mater t shirt got a phone call and his ringtone was "Life is a Highway" which was pretty amazing!

It was getting closer to 11....would mom make it in time?

Dawn- Sorry you were sick! Being sick in disney is NOT fun! 10 years ago (i just recently realized it was 10 years ago!) My family went to eat at that restaraunt that is right outside pirates of the carribbean. i got the kids tacos and didn't particularly enjoy them. apparently i made a weird face as i was eating them like i was going to be sick but luckily nothing happened (or so we thought...) we progressed through the rest of the day and all that night just fine. However, when i woke up i realized i was sick from the tacos i had had earlier that day (More recently i realized that i probably had the flu but i wanted to blame it on something so i blamed the tacos sine i didn't want to blame chef mickey's. Regardless, we haven't gone back to that taco stand since). The good news though was that we were leaving really early so i wasn't missing out. However, the bad side of that was that i had to travel with food poisoning. I kept throwing up every half hour right through the first flight, during the layover in atlanta and then all the way to chicago. I still felt crummy for the rest of the day but it got alot better. Point of the story: I know exactly how much it sucks to be sick in disney! Hope you felt better as the day progressed.

It was! My greatest fear when planning a vacation is someone getting sick and not beign able to go as scheduled. I'd never really given much thought to what happens if you get sick there?
