I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

Ugh life has been so hectic! Class is back in full swing and I have had reading to do and papers to write and mock trial try outs to prepare for I am hoping for some down time this weekend to catch up on all of my TRs and start reading new ones! I also want to start our next one this week or as soon as we get the Photopass cd!

Anyway back to May. We had decided to go to DTD after some relaxation at the pool to have some dinner and put a dent in our wallets! You can't go to DTD and not spend any money I am pretty sure it is not possible So we hit up the bus stop and hopped a ride to DTD. I know blasphemous considering we had a beautiful boat ride we could have taken!

Once there we proceeded to head towards our dinner destination at House of Blues but it was interrupted by the worst possible thing that could have happened IMHO! I am crazy when it comes to people wearing the same thing as me. When I was younger if someone had something on at school and even if I liked it I wouldn't buy it. Now I am a huge fan of Forever 21 because if you go in two days in a row chances are you won't find the same thing. Well I am wearing this jumper from Forever 21 and a girl walking right in front of me is wearing the same one! What are the odds?! Her friends and family kept glancing back at me until they finally said something to her and it was a bit awkward....


Well I didn't run and swim back to SSR so we finally got to HOB

Which is right across from the place where Disney magic goes to die

But I digress we put smiles on our faces and went in for dinner

I of course had to do a photo tour of the restaurant!

Now our reason for being here was my mom had a coupon from Restaurant.com for $25. We ordered spinach dip to start with.

My mom and I split a shrimp plate which was my choice because I absolutely love cornbread!

My dad had Jambalaya

We enjoyed our food I thought the shrimp was a bit too spicy so I ended up pushing it off on my mom and only eating the cornbread. The sauce was pretty gross IMHO. She ate it though and little did we know how this would come back to bite her....

After our dinner we headed off to do some shopping! I found my new favorite store at Disney (although they didn't have anything I wanted this trip )

Where I finally bought into the Tom's trend! If you haven't heard of them Tom's are little canvas shoes but if you buy a pair they also send a pair to a child who doesn't have any shoes. They sponsor a few days around the country where you aren't supposed to wear shoes so you can understand what it feels like for these young children. I loved the message behind the shoes but never really found a pair I wanted but Disney magic strikes again!

Since Disney I have also bought a gray canvas pair and had them painted on the nationwide design your own Toms day. I not only was able to donate a pair to a child when I bought them but another pair was sent after I had them decorated


I also found this dress which I have worn a ton since Disney and actually wore the next day!

While I was busy shopping my dad went to get a cigar at Sosa's and hang out there until we were done. We grabbed him and made our way over to the marketplace.

At this point mine and my mom's tummies were feeling odd so we ducked in to Pollo Campero to use the restroom. The salsa station they had in there smelled so good! We also found Baby Cakes inside here but they didn't have anything that appealed to us. Once our tummies felt better we headed to cause more damage.

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After our snack we headed back to the resort.

Now at some point during the night our shrimp turned into this

But I am looking forward to coming back later so I can see your pics. I have to see the jumper that is too cute for its own good.

Here's what I've noticed when someone else is wearing something I have. I always think the look terrible in it and then I wonder if it looks like that on me! The I obsess on how bad I look. Yup! Not good!

Oh this girl had it accessorized all wrong so I didn't feel bad about it! It's just weird since I can never find the same thing when I go to Forever 21 I forgot to mention that it took forever for PacSun in Michigan to get the dress I bought but I saw someone else wearing it at Greenfield Village when we were there

Oh and I wanted to tell you gals, I was on 75 Sunday, from downriver to Clarkston and I kept seeing the EMU billboards!! There is a blond hair boy and a girl with darker hair. Then today I went to Warren and there they were again! lol So I made a mental note to tell Caitlin about it. I will get on 94 one of these days this week and look for her!

YES we do need to meet!! I stopped at Great Lakes Crossing Sunday before we went to DTE, and I thought of you guys when we went in the Disney Store. I couldn't believe all the Disneyland shirts they had and for SOOOO cheap!! She said they never get Disneyworld stuff, I wonder why?? They changed to Disney Parks too!!! But nope just Disneyland. So cheap!!! Hope this helps someone!!

I think i have to check it out we have a whole toms shoe campaign on my college campus where each year we have a day without shoes and then a week later we have this huge style your soles party. I also love the whole thought behind toms shoes. While most of the pairs i've seen aren't the cutest shoes i've seen (yours are pretty cute though i must say) they are pretty comfy and they really are a neat cause. i feel like i never heard much about them untill last year when i started college and now they are everywhere. funny story about your outfit of the day. i am just the opposite of that. I'm fine if i'm not matching but i do like to see that what i'm wearing being worn by other people. dislike the fact that the shrimp made for on the last day

It isn't that bad of a place and they were nice enough to send us a gift card We did enjoy just getting drinks at the outdoor bar and listening to the live music this past trip so that is a safe place if you ever want to go to it!

It is sooooo good!!!!

That is really cool about the Toms campaign! I have seen them everywhere but it took me a while to find a pair I like now I love them!

oh no, that doesn't sound good. I hate being sick in general, but to be sick on vacation? That's the worst. And you think you would have been relatively safe going to a big restaurant "chain" like HOB.

That jumper is cute. I hate seeing someone else where the same stuff as me too. You always looks so cute, though. I found it way too hot to even attempt any accessories in August. I just melted.

Yuck! I wonder if it was the shrimp? My mom got extremely sick one time after eating a bad shrimp! We have eaten at HOB in New Orleans but always skip in Orlando since we have one so close to us. But there is nothing worse than being sick on vacation!

I have always not liked having the same trends as everyone else. I even would go out of my way to avoid it! So I completely understand!
