I was just thinking about what I want to do on my next trip and I really want to spend more time at MGM. Last time I was there, while the family was doing TOT (been there, done that, don't care to again) I wandered around watching the street performers and they are really, really funny there!

Has anyone seen the guy and the girl supposedly just off the bus come to Hollywood to become movie stars! They are both funny, but the guy is really a riot. When DH and the kids came out we all stood and watched them and laughed until we cried!

MGM is the favorite of all the parks for my DD and her family. When I travel with them, we spent at least two full days there. The DGDs love RnR and Tot! The street performers are the best in the world! I most enjoy the Great Movie Ride and Millionaire. Oh and of course, 50's PT for lunch and Fantasmic to end the day.

Im planning on taking more time to enjoy the small shows during my 3days solo at the end of March. We're usually rushing through to get to the next ride. I did see the couple just off the bus who have come to be movie stars - they are a hoot. Also saw Mulch, Sweat & Shears and cant wait to see them again.

We also enjoy going to MGM. I wish they still had the animation studio there since we loved going and watching them. The street performers are also great but sometimes our kids are a little unsure of them.

We spent the day at MGM on 2/17 and had a great time! Our favorite thing we saw was by the JoJo character greeting. There was a little girl, maybe 3-4 years old just dancing her heart out to the music they were playing! She wasn't right in front of the character, but over on the sidewalk and she wasn't letting anyone get in the way of her dancing! Her mom was sitting on the bench filming her and all she wanted to do was dance. DS17 said that it was the cutest thing he had ever seen! Oh to be so young and uninhibited!!

Shhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone! Then it will become a crowded mess like the other parks, lol! We went 3 of 7 days over Xmas. My parents loved it the best and my bro and sis-in-law took their 3 kids (3, 9, 11) there more than anywhere else. Such a nice park... But keep it on the downlow ;)

We are planning to spend our whole first day at MGM in June. We usually park hop, and usually only spend half a day at MGM, but I want to take more time and enjoy this park on our next visit.

I will have to be on the look out for the the street performers. Sounds like fun!

I don't think I've ever seen any of the street performers at MGM. Is there a schedule for them or do they just randomly appear? We'll definitely have to look for some on our upcoming trip.

You are so right about the street performers! One of the highlights of our MGM visit this January were the Hollywood Public Works streetmosphere performers! We just happened upon them twice and they did 2 different skits. My DS 12 and DM 79 and I could NOT stop laughing! We found them at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. I know one time was around 4:30 pm as we had 5 pm ADR's at the HV, and the other time was probably a couple hours earlier...

Totally agree!! :thumbsup2 I just love the acts we saw on the street. It amazed me the crowds of people who just walked by. I laughed so hard, I was crying.

I can say the same for WS in Epcot too. Very funny! :rotfl2:

I plan on stopping by guest services and seeing if there are times for these things. I'm guessing there are.

:goodvibes I adore MGM. It's so manageable. I love the shows and so do my children especially my youngest. It's wonderfully relaxing. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I relized i loved it awhile ago. it is so fun and at night i is so beautiful to be at

MGM is my favorite! I don't even know why. I just love being at that park. There are better restaurants and not alot of rides, but the ambience is just awesome! And Fantasmic is the best thing to happen to MGM since opening! I just love it! :cloud9:

You might enjoy this site: http://www.mgmstudios.org

And I think I can say I also enjoy the Studios just a bit.

By the way, the guy you're talking about that's waiting for the bus is named Frances. He's really alot of fun. He talked to me and his "bit" is pretending to talk to his mother on a phone so he said his momma wanted to know what I do for a living so I told him I'm a webmaster. He "talks" back into the phone and says "Momma, he's spider man!" :lmao:
