Tenaya Stone Spa has several fitness and wellness classes. Last year, one of the instructors told me about Sunrise Yoga in Disneyland Park. She made it sound amazing. It's not offered very often and I was finally able to attend it. While most of the classes are available to anyone, this particular one is only available to people staying onsite.
The class starts at 5:30am. We met in the Grand Californian lobby a little after 5:00am. When security was ready for us, we went through security and were escorted to the park. We were allowed to have our phones, but they had to be in a pocket and of course, we weren't allowed to take pictures.
Our class was set up in the Royal theatre. I have to admit, I was disappointed because I was expecting to be set up outside of Space Mountain (where it used to be). When I learned about it last year, I was told the group would walk through BTS areas that nobody ever sees and that we'd see the sunrise while doing Yoga upstairs by space mountain. This class walked down Main Street and our BTS thing was seeing deliveries happening and CMs getting ready for the day. Trust me, it was really cool to see since Main street is usually so congested and everyone was So Happy and Friendly - at 5:30am! Really great to see everybody loving their jobs. It's just not the BTS that I was expecting.
Class was, of course, wonderful. The Tenaya Stone Spa team is top notch in every way. I've taken the Sound Breath Meditation a couple times and I would be thrilled to take any classes given by them. The fee for this class was $99. and they gave us water bottles, a couple Kind bars, a keepsake sweat towel and they took posed pictures of us after the class with the castle in the background. I never thought I'd ever have a picture of me in front of the castle without anyone else in the picture, but I do now.
I'm glad I finally got to do it. It's definitely a unique experience and it's the only class they have ever been able to do inside Disneyland Park. When we were walked out, we passed by all the people lined up for early entry and boy were they confused!
