Well - - I finally did it. I bought into Bay Lake Tower and right now my wife and three children are unaware of this event. I am thinking of holding off until Christmas :santa: to share the news - - I know my wife will cry. Our mall in the Chicago-land area has models of the rooms for Bay Lake Tower so I am thinking of taking some pictures of the kids with a "Welcome Home" sign in the 1-bedroom model and having that picture tell the story........

The kids are 6, 4 and 2 so I pray we will have many years (decades) of DVC use. Hope I made the right choice (I know I did).

Can't wait to get my countdown going :yay:

Congratulations!!! What a great idea about waiting until Christmas. You could put together a bunch of little gifts Disney related or travel related- leading up to the biggie.

Witing till Christmas is a GREAT idea. Myself, I probably could hold onto the surprise that long  Congratulations! .... oh ... and Welcome Home!

I cannot imagine DH or myself buying something for that much money without the other's knowledge. If she doesn't know, her name is not on the deed. That would not make me happy.

I have mixed feelings about what you did, but not any reservations about DVC at all! Best wishes, we all have different expectations. If you have time to change and get her name on the deed, I would at least give it some serious thought.

Depending on the state, her name may not need to be on the deed. For example, here in Virginia all assets belonging to a married person are also owned by their spouse.

First off Congratulations! and Welcome Home. :dance3:

Well, I bought DVC without my DH knowledge. The papers came and I said were going to the notary to sign some papers. He was thrilled! :)

I guess it all depends on the relationship, but I know that whatever my DH does he is always thinking of me and we trust each other that way.

Now, if my DH bought DVC and waited over 6 months to tell me. Now, that would not make me happy. :rotfl:

Congrats and Welcome Home!! My concern is if your kids can keep the secret until Christmas...:santa: I would be thrilled if someone bought me DVC for Christmas :yay: but I would have been seriously PO'd if my ex would have spent that kind of money without discussing it with me... That's why I'm not married.. No one but me to tell me how to spend my money:rotfl2:

Congratulations! Christmas is so far away...you sure you can wait that long?

There is no way I could ever wait that long! Congrats on your buy-in! I would love for dh to give me a suprise like that.
