I Could Have Had a Cruise. Instead, I'm Going to WDW! May 2010 PTR - ONE MORE DAY!!!

Shopping rocks. ;) Thanks for sharing!! Sharing your Mickey Mail also motivated me to get us signed up for ME -- I can't believe we waited so long for that...!

While my DD was growing up, I would find specials on the Disney luggage for her; she ended up with three different rolling carry-ons, because I got them for $20 each! :rotfl:

Yay for signing up for ME! We've never used ME since we drive but I'm sure if we ever fly again, we'll be using it.

They are both so excited to use their luggage! They had fun wheeling them throught the store.

I went shopping at Target today too!!! I got travel sized stuff, coloring etc. Makes me want to pull out the suitcases-speaking of those were some very cute ones!

I need to get some travel size stuff too, but so far I've stayed away from that area of Target. Maybe next week. I'm so glad I finally found them some suitcases. They've been telling me all the things they need to pack in them. :sad2: (Lauren is a hoarder. Who knows what we'll find in hers!) :scared1:

I love shopping!!!! Target is one of my favorite time wasters. I could spend so long in there. Cute shirts and luggage for the kids. I love the dollar goodies as well.

Whenever I tell Mike I'm going to Target he says "Oh no!" :lmao: Thanks! I hope the ladies that help me enjoy them!

Cinderella- fun to see the results of your shopping and fun to share in your preparations for the big trip. We are just back from ours so it helps ease the post-Disney-trip-blahs . . . Of course I am already planning when we can go again. :)

Of course you are! I think most of us start planning our next trip when we're on our current trip. Okay. I'm going to be honest. I've already started planning the next one. I can pretty much tell you when and where we'll stay. Shh. Mike doesn't know yet. :rotfl:

I love some Disney shopping! Cute shirts, and the hair clippies just match!

Cute stuff from Target. I love some Target, especially when it has a red tag on it! I like the way Megan put it, "Target is one of my favorite time wasters."

Ooooh, should we start a guessing game??? :cheer2:

My family is already keen to go on another cruise, so after this (when our banked points are used up and we're down to our regular amount for next year DVC), we'll probably do a cruise. And DVC points don't work well with cruises, so it will be a cash-vacation! ;) Not sure really if it'll be a Disney cruise.

Good for you for thinking ahead...hmmm.... ;)

Hi Alicia!! Just wanted you to know I'm catching up on your PTR!! Can't believe we'll be in WDW in less than 3 weeks!! WOW on the children's musical!! It looked incredible!! I've had to take over Ally's Kindergarten Choir b/c her teacher had open heart surgery--the kids have their choir program in 2 weeks!! Ally will be singing her first solo!! She's sooo excited!! And YAY for Mickey Mail!! My TA just got ours and will be mailing it to us this week!! Sooo exciting!! And love the shopping pics!! I just LOVE shopping for Disney trips!! :goodvibes

I keep trying to come up with reasons to go shopping for our trip. I'm running out of stuff to buy though...

I can waste a lot of time and money in Target. :thumbsup2

We usually go to WDW every other year but now that the kids are a little older, I think it would be fun to go more frequently.

Well, right now I have a certain resort in mind but you never know, it might change. :lmao:

Hi Becky! Oh my! Is Ally's choir teacher okay? Is Ally excited about her solo?

I love Disney shopping too! Honestly, I like any kind of shopping! :woohoo:

Yes, she is recuperating just fine! The surgery was quite a surprise b/c she's not that old. She is coming to the practices but just observing b/c she doesn't have all of her energy back yet. YES!!! Ally is VERY excited about her solo (and that she gets her own microphone)!!

I'll be posting some of my Disney shopping soon!! I like any kind of shopping, too!! ;)

I'm gulity of doing that too Lisa. I also try to convince Mike that we could move there and work for Disney World. On time, one of the CMs tried to convince us to stay and go to human resources to get a job. Unfortunately, Mike declined his offer.

John was kinda sorta offered a job in the props department at Hollywood Studios. He started chatting with one of the supervisors there and when they found out that John could build cabinets, they asked him if he wanted to talk more. It was really tempting!

I keep trying to come up with reasons to go shopping for our trip. I'm running out of stuff to buy though...

I went to Target this weekend too but didn't come away with as much cute stuff as you did. I, too, am running out of stuff that I "need".

Oh, I meant to ask if you guys got any of the bad weather that was supposed to be moving towards your area.

We had some bad storms come through over night but not much flooding. Some roads were floaded but nothing like Nashville got! I can't believe how much rain they got! :scared1: Thanks for asking about us Lisa! :goodvibes

:faint:

Our tenth Disney night was picked by Alex. Even though we had previously done a Frontierland night, I thought a Splash Mountain night would be fun! Our table wasn’t as elaborate as previous nights, and we did have a menu repeat, but all in all it was a great night!

For dinner, we had Pecos Bill food again:
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs
The Fixin’s
Beans
Fries
Carrot Cake Cupcakes

After dinner, it was warm enough for the kids to play in the pool and “splash” :rotfl: around. It’s the first time we’ve pulled out the pool this year so the kids were really excited.

We also watched a segment from a video of a previous trip. It’s one segment that whenever anyone watches it, they end up laughing at me. One morning, my coffee got spilled on the way into MK. As I’ve stated before, if I don’t function well when I don’t have coffee (and this is the video proof of this). So we walked to Splash Mountain first thing and Mike and Alex get in line. I start filming empty boats coming down the hill not really thinking about how long it takes to walk to the front of the line, then ride the whole ride till the hill. So I keep filming, and filming, and filming… about 5 minutes worth of empty boats. Finally I stopped filming empty boats. I shut of the camera till people started coming down in the boats. Then I filmed for about 2 more minutes before Mike and Alex come down the hill. So whenever people watch it, they start laughing at how many boats I filmed that had no one in it. That’s all right, people can laugh at me. But from that point forward, whenever I tell Mike I need coffee, I get it. :thumbsup2

Our next Disney night will be a Jasmine night (or Aladdin) which was picked by Lauren.

Up Next: I Feel The Need, The Need To...SHOP!

I promise, I’m almost done buying stuff for our trip. Almost. But I knew we definitely needed to buy one thing. Sunglasses. The kids used to have sunglasses but we’ve somehow managed to lose both pairs in the past few months. So today I made it my mission to find them some sunglasses (and to buy a couple of other things…).

First the sunglasses. I went to The Children’s Place and hit the jackpot of children’s sunglasses! They had sunglasses that were 2 for $5!!! :woohoo: I couldn’t believe it! Here’s some pics:

While at The Children’s Place, I also got Lauren some shorts. I have been so frustrated trying to find her shorts! She’s a 5T or size 4. The stores that carry 5T that fit her, don’t carry hardly anything in her size. The stores where they don’t carry 5T but carry size 4 that she can fit in, have very few size 4. How am I supposed to dress my child???!!!! Perhaps I should just let her run around in her underwear in their stores and if someone complains I can say “Well if you’d carry clothes in her size, I would put clothes on her!!!” :furious: Sorry. I told you I was frustrated. Here’s some shorts I found:

I decided today that I wanted a couple more shirts for our trip so I stopped in JCPenney to buy some. Here’s my purchases:

The only thing clothing wise I have left to buy is a pair of khaki pants, but they’re not even for this trip. They’re for the Washington DC trip Mom and I are going on with our church choir and orchestra. So I think I’m pretty much done with clothes shopping for Disney. Now I’ve got to stock up on snacks and travel size items…Target here I come!!!! :upsidedow
