I Could Have Had a Cruise. Instead, I'm Going to WDW! May 2010 PTR - ONE MORE DAY!!!

:welcome: I myself stole the Disney theme night idea, so steal away. :thumbsup2 If you ever go to T-Rex, make sure you get the Meteor Bites. MMMMM.... I don't know why I plan the CS meals. I did mention before that I might be slightly OCD and I like to organize things. :rolleyes1 I don't like leaving things open. I want a plan of attack. Even if it gets changed, it still makes me feel better.

I see you're staying at CBR next trip. We loved it last year. I'm sure we'll be going back there soon.[/QUOTE]

I thought I loved to plan and organize and was slightly anal until I read your posts! LOL! Love them though! I am so glad to hear good things about CBR.:cool1: some of what I read worries me, but i think we will love it! I will keep reading. It is so fab to have someone else who is super excited and borderline obsessed....i am driving my hubby nuts!!

:rotfl: I only said I was slighty OCD.:rolleyes1 :lmao:

I was really surprised by how much we enjoyed CBR. We were in the Jamaica building which was a great location. The kids loved the Nemo themed rooms. The rooms just look nice. Probably because they have been renovated recently.

I'm lucky. Mike is almost as obsessed as I am. Almost. Right now, instead of posting on here, he's reading the a Disney planning book. He pretty much planned our whole honeymoon at Disney so he enjoys going to Disney about as much as I do.

I am the only one in the family who is obsessed. :( On the other hand, everyone does what I plan!! :woohoo:

You know, we never did plan the counter meals in any of our previous trips. The problem with that is that you tend to just grab the closest meal, and then miss out on something great (or better, or different, etc) right around the corner! So, I'm going to try it, too!!

It may seem wierd, but I love how the picture turned out. Like you said, it turned out so fitting for the attraction.

That must be great to have someone to talk with about the trip all the time who doesn't get a glazed over look in his eye followed by a bunch of "yup"s and "yes" and "good"s.

I am with you there! They go with whatever i plan so i do everything i want princess:....we had a blast last time so i guess it works out!
As for the counter meals, i have now researched reviews etc and planned all of our counter meals.....obsession is a crazy thing!

Nice Pirates picture :) My video camera has a night setting too, so I used it to record entire dark rides...all the footage came out looking pretty much like your picture!

I relate to you about having a DH that enjoys planning Disney. Mine listens to podcasts and reads a lot of Disney books. And we planned out our counter service meals and snacks too! We actually just were working on that for our future trips too! It's making me hungry...so much to eat at Disney!

(Imagine I’m talking in a deep, spooky voice)

Good evening. Welcome to our second Disney night. The night will include spooktacular food, maddening mazes, and a visit to a rumored “Haunted Mansion.” Continue reading…if you DARE!

(Okay, imagine I’m back to using my normal voice. Not that you would know what that sounds like. But you can pretend.)

For our second Disney night, it was Alex’s turn to pick our theme. I had a pretty good idea that he would either pick Haunted Mansion or Test Track (his 2 favorite rides). And sure enough, he did. It took me no time to figure out that we could make mummy dogs (hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls). It was the other food items that I had the hardest time deciding on. All I had to do was ask my fellow DIS’sers for help. Thanks to Vickie (SimmerBaggins), I was able to put a hauntingly good meal on the table. Thank you so much! So here’s what we had:

Mummy Dogs
Wormy Fries (I tried to find curly fries but couldn’t find any so we went with shoestring fries) – Vickie’s (SimmerBaggins) idea
Green Eyeballs (really green grapes) – Also Vickie’s idea
Muddy Beans (baked beans)
Spooky Cookies (we cut out sugar cookies in shapes of houses and ghosts and the decorated them)

I was really happy that my Mom was able to join us for our Disney night!

We then colored spooky pictures that I printed from a website and found our way through a spooky maze.

Here’s some pictures:

To end the night, we watched the movie “Haunted Mansion” and ate popcorn. And we were happy, “forEvers and Evers.” (Sorry, couldn’t resist quoting Eddie Murphy)

(Completely OT but I just realized the woman that played Sara Evers was on a couple of episodes of “Lost.” Wow! I don’t know how I missed that)

Thanks Dugette! I really need to take a class and read more books about how to use my camera. Then I might have an idea what I'm doing.

I can relate to getting hungry when planning meals. It makes it hard to lose weight before going there!

Wow! Haunted family night looked AWESOME! and yay for Nana for joining in! I am hosting a baby shower tomorrow that has been taking up some time, but after tomorrow i am so getting Family Disney Nights started and my 8 year old son has chosen Rockin Roller Coaster Night (that gives me an excuse to have big hair again :) and my 5 yo daughter has chosen ToT night! Woohoo! Thanks!

Hi! My name is Queila and I am signing up! I've just read the whole PTR and I have to say I enjoy your sense of humor.:)

Congratulations on your beautiful family.:goodvibes

We will be at WDW at the same week as you guys so it is great to be able to read the plans of another "May family".

My sister lives in Knoxville and she will be joining us for the first couple of days of our trip. I guess you guys will be crossing Georgia at about the same time. Except she stops at Waycross to visit her in-laws on their way down. :)

Anyways, your Disney nights look amazing. I am sure your kids love it.

Have a great weekend,
Q

Ooo! Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. ToT is my favorite ride. I think when it's my turn to choose it will either be ToT or one of the resorts we've stayed in. I've had a ton of fun planning them so far.

Thanks Leanne! It's Lauren's turn to pick. She picked The Little Mermaid (I had a pretty good idea she'd pick a princess theme). I'm just now starting to think about what we're going to do.
