I Could Have Had a Cruise. Instead, I'm Going to WDW! May 2010 PTR - ONE MORE DAY!!!

WCC is a place that Bryan and I would totally do as just the two of us. It sounds like a great evening to me.

I am glad to hear that you decided to go back to the Poly.

Great choice Alicia! Sounds like a great choice to me!! Your anniversary night sounds like fun. We are doing WCC for the first time this year. Looks so yummy!

Yay for the Poly!! We just made an ADR for Ohana, so I'm reliving our first trip to WDW when WE stayed at the Poly! It's such a beautiful resort...be sure to take time to enjoy it. :goodvibes

Congrats on the Poly!! Very exciting! I can totally see going to WCC for an anniversary dinner-something Jeff and I would do! Congrats on making a FINAL decision!

I always always doubt my ADRs and change them several times before our vacation so your story sounds about par with mine. So, you aren't crazy for all those changes. ('cause if you were, then I'd be too and I ain't crazy!:rotfl:)

I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to get dressed up while on vacation. The fanciest we get is a pair of capris and a nice top.

We ate at the Whispering Canyon last year and loved it. The skillet was so yummy as was the smores cheesecake.

Woohoo for going to Hollywood Studios after dinner! I rode the Tower of Terror last year for the first time and can't believe that I actually liked it. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much that I turned around and rode it again. My kids say I only liked it 'cause they were downstairs waiting for us and praying for me.

Smores cheesecake?! Oh now you've done it Lisa! It's going to be calling to me. :rotfl2:

My MIL hates roller coasters but somehow my SIL convinced her to ride ToT :scared1: I don't know how she didnt have a heart attack! Maybe if they should have been praying for her!

Thanks Megan! I think we'll have fun. We both really love the WL and eating at WCC. Plus, ToT will be the icing on the cake. Although, I am a little concerned with eating all that food and then riding it...

Thanks Leanne! We've always enjoyed WCC. I think you'll enjoy it too!

Thanks Vickie! I'm just glad Mike finally made a decision. Although he does keep joking about not liking the shower heads at the Poly and that he might switch because of that:sad2: I told him I'd beat him up and plead temporary insanity. :lmao:

Congrats on the Poly!! Very exciting! I can totally see going to WCC for an anniversary dinner-something Jeff and I would do! Congrats on making a FINAL decision!

Thanks Mary. It is the FINAL decision (if Mike knows what's good for him)!

Yesterday Mike and I took Alex and Lauren to the dentist. This was Alex’s third time but it was Lauren’s first. So I was very worried. Lauren doesn’t usually do well in new situations. She’s very leery of new people and can be very uncooperative. So needless to say, I was expecting the worst.

After sitting in the waiting/playroom for a couple of minutes, the dental hygienist came out and called Lauren’s name. I must have had a panicked look on my face because she asked if I wanted Alex to go first and Lauren could watch him. I thought that was a good idea so they took both of them back and reassured me that if there were a problem, they’d come get me.

So Mike and I sat there waiting. Well, he sat there checking his Blackberry and I sat there worrying. I seriously expected to hear screaming. I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Soon, another hygienist came out and told us she was doing great! I sat there thinking “Really? Lauren is okay? Are they sure?” I went to the door and peeked. All I could see was Lauren’s shoes and pants since someone was cleaning her teeth, but her feet were just kind of lightly swaying back and forth (kind of like kids do if they’re sitting on the floor with their legs extended). I couldn’t believe it!

After awhile, they came to get us. Lauren was done first. They even took x-rays of her front teeth! I got to see where her two top and bottom permanent teeth are developing under the gums! They really suggested that she stop sucking her thumb. That should be a fun thing to try. It took all I had to potty train this child! Now I have to convince her to stop sucking her thumb?!

Right as they finished telling us about Lauren’s exam, the dentist was finishing looking at Alex’s teeth. He explained that Alex was getting all of his 6 year molars and that he had 4 loose teeth!!! Four? The two top and the two next to the bottom two (he’s already lost his two bottom teeth) are the ones that are loose. So perhaps on our Disney trip pics Alex will have a toothless grin!

So that was my stress yesterday. And apparently I stressed over nothing because Lauren was fine. She even told me she had fun at the dentist. I would too, if I got to watch tv while having my teeth cleaned, got a pretty ring for being cooperative while having x-rays made, got a princess sticker, a bag full of dental goodies, and a bouncy ball. :thumbsup2

Alicia----I'm gone for a week, and you change resorts? I can't imagine such rearranging of plans and changing resorts......:rolleyes1 I don't know anyone who would do such things! ;)

I love the Poly! I have to admit, that while I was there on this trip, I commented on how I just love the smell of it---It just feels like Disney to me, and that I was tempted to change my resort, AGAIN!

I think it is terribly romantic that you're eating your anniversary dinner at WCC, since you and Mike spent ya'lls honeymoon at WL!

What a relief for you about the dentist! I know that familiar feeling of worry that my child will be panicky -- and then a feeling of unbelievable joy when (she) is totally unaffected! :thumbsup2

Yay for a great trip to the dentist! Cayley just went for the first time last month. I was worried as well but she also did great!!

You have brave kids, girl. When I take Dallas in for anything, the dentist gives me a prescription for Valium for Dallas to take before we get to the office :scared1: :rolleyes1

You have that problem too!?!?!?!! Cooper is also a thumb-sucker. We were certain that the sugery would kind of cause him to stop sucking his thumb. Nope, he sucked it all the way through his recovery. Cooper's going to the dentist for the first time this summer as well, and I am sure they will tell me the same thing.

I'm glad to thear things went well for the first visit though.

I find myself sometimes stressing over something much more than my kids do. Good to hear that your kids did well at the dentist. Like you said, I would have loved to watch television and get a ring when I went to the dentist. Heck, I'd still like to do that now.

Welcome home Michelle!

We are very happy now with the idea of staying at the Poly and we are really excited about visiting our honeymoon resort.

Thanks Vickie! She still keeps saying the dentist is fun. It was such a relief when she did so well.

Yay for a great trip to the dentist! Cayley just went for the first time last month. I was worried as well but she also did great!!

That's great Mary! Glad Cayley had a good visit as well!

Congrats to Lauren for being a big girl at the Dentist's office! Go Lauren!! :cheer2:

It's just another reminder that she's not a little baby anymore, Leanne. I still call her my baby girl though.

You have brave kids, girl. When I take Dallas in for anything, the dentist gives me a prescription for Valium for Dallas to take before we get to the office :scared1: :rolleyes1

Wow Dana! My youngest nephew hates going to the dentist. During his first visit he lept out of the chair and ran away screaming. That's what I was envsioning when Lauren went back to get her teeth cleaned.

Thanks Megan! Lauren had a callus on her thumb when she was born from where she was sucking her thumb in the womb. That's how long she's been doing it. We even have ultrasound pictures of her sucking her thumb. This isn't going to be an easy task. I just may think about paying someone to do it for me...

Me too Lisa!

Do we get to see some pics of the IASW night? popcorn:: :goodvibes

Soon. Very soon.

Sorry I've been absent friends! I've been a little busy this weekend. We went to the season opening of Dollywood on Saturday, today we had a night of praise at our church (I pulled double duty with children's choir and singing in the choir), and then most of the weekend I've spent updating our blog (I felt bad for neglecting it since it's one way my dad is able to see what we're up to. So I ended up posting 8 blog entries in 2 days:scared1:).

I had planned on posting tonight but I'm just so tired. But I promise, tomorrow I'll have multiple updates (including IASM night, and pics from our Dollywood trip). Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Everybody now!

It’s a world of laughter a world of tears.
It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears.
There’s so much that we share
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all!

It’s a small world after all.
It’s a small world after all.
It’s a small world after all.
It’s a small, small world!

Did I get it stuck in your head? GOOD! It’s been stuck in mine since we had our Disney night so I thought I’d share.

We had a great time on our “It’s a Small World” night. I had the idea from the get go that we would eat miniature versions of food. You know, small food. :lmao: I know; bad joke. Sorry, I couldn’t help it!

For our dinner we had:
Small Ham and Cheese Sandwiches (Well everyone but Lauren had cheese. She doesn’t like cheese. I don’t know why. I LOVE cheese.)
Small Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Small Pretzels
Baby Carrots and Dip
Mini Apple Pies (These were so good! I may even post the recipe for them because they were super easy to make)

We then made Edelweiss hats. I googled international crafts for kids and found it. They turned out pretty good!

Then we decided to watch “It’s a Small World” on one of our previous trip videos. And that’s when the song got stuck in my head. I really do like riding the ride but the song always gets stuck in my head. Oh well! Here’s some pictures:

Yes....I am singing, well, not actually singing 'cause there's a client sitting in the waiting room but I'm singing it in my head. Wouldn't want to scare off a potential client with my singing.

You come up with THE best ideas for Disney night. I can never think of super cute stuff like that.
