I caught the BUG!!

I got my Expression yesterday!!
I am soooo excited! Unfortunately I don't have the time to play with it since we leave Sunday to go out of town and then when I come back, my in-laws will be coming.
But their arrival and the impending arrival of my Expression prompted me to reorganize my scrapbook area. Its the guest room/office/craft room so I won't be getting to any scrapbooking while they are here.

By the way, if any one is interested, I got my E on Ebay for 100.22 shipped and its like brand new!! Its obvious that the mat has been used but other than that it was in great shape!! If anyone is interested in the Ebay store (who has several more), pm me and I will give it to you. I'm not sure of the rules of posting it on the forum, so I am playing it safe!

I have a question about the Design Studio vs. Sure Cuts a Lot and Make the Cut. Do any of you have any or a combo of these? Which one(s) do you recommend. From what I have read elsewhere it sounds like Make the Cut is easier (and cheaper). And on Design Studio, don't you have to have the actually cartridges to make the cuts?

I definitely want to get one of those carts but i am looking for the right price! I am definitely a bargain hunter! (As if you can't tell by how much I paid for the machine itself!)

And I was so excited to get the Paper Doll Dress up cart at M's for 19.99! I can't wait to start trying to make those cute Disneyfied dolls posted on this forum!

you asked about the SCAL vs MTC vs DS....

Yes for DS you need the cart to cut.

I do not have any experience with MTC.

I do have experience with SCAL. I love my SCAL program. The SCAL forum is the reason I love SCAL. They are the most helpful bunch I have ever found. You won't get any of the "drama" that sometimes occurrs on message boards. I have been active their for over a year, and have not seen any such actions.

99% of the time I do not design in SCAL. I design my files in Inkscape and save as an SVG file. (Inkscape is free). The SVG files can be used by both SCAL or MTC.

There are other message boards to learn how to use inkscape too. This a rather new forum, but awesome ladies there too.... http://www.inkscapecuttingdesign.com/index.php
