I Can't Stop Landon from Growing Up, but I Wouldn't Miss It for the World!

What should we do with our last ts credit?

  • breakfast on our AK day at Tusker House (Donald's Safari Breakfast)

  • dinner somewhere on our pool/waterpark day

  • breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our last day

  • other (post comment if you have a better idea!)

Day Four-Epcot Day!

This morning starts with a blast from the past-we have a breakfast adr scheduled for before the park opens!! YAY!!

So my friends have to get up early with me!! We will be at Epcot by 8 am and be done with breakfast by the time the park opens at 9!

Then I think I will send Dustin and Steph over to Soarin' (I want them to ride it for the first time together) while I grab TT fp's. Then I'll meet them back at Soarin' and have them watch Landon while I hop in line for Soarin' as a single rider. (Do they have a specific single rider line?) If the wait is short though, I'll go with whoever wants to ride again.

I also bet anything that Steph will want to go on Living with the Land. (That's the one that's 45 minutes, right?) I think if I join her on that depends on Landon. He could quite possibly just sleep on it. If he doesn't look like he will, Dustin or myself (whoever doesn't go with Steph basically) will probably take him to the character spot at this point.

After that, we will hopefully be able to use our TT fp's! YAY!! So we'll grab fp's for Mission Space (didn't make it on that last time!! :scared1:) and then head over to TT. (Tinkgurl...or anyone...is that logical? I don't recall where everything is!)

Then, we'll ride everything else that Landon can go on in Future World, like Figment and Spaceship Earth. Hopefully by then, we can use our Mission Space fp's!

We'll discuss what people want for lunch at this point (or whenever we get hungry!!) This lunch will be oop, but we got the deal with the $300 gift card, so its not a big deal!! Where is Electric Umbrella? I don't remember seeing it last time. We'll either go there or to Sunshine Seasons, unless of course, someone is in the mood for ethnic food!! Whatever the choice, after/around lunch, our destination is the World Showcase!

You can bet your bottom dollar that we will be doing some KP missions!! My friends and I will have so much fun with this!! I'm so excited to be having a re-do of Epcot!! (Anyone remember the horrors of last time? :sad2:) I'll be all awesome too because...well my name is Kim. So we'll do that and a little exploring. We'll only do the Gran Fiesta Tour and Maelstrom if the wait is short...otherwise, we won't bother. We're going to explore, save the planet and hunt down as many PP guys as we can possibly find!! I'M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!!

Later in the afternoon, we will head back out of the World Showcase and over to the Living Seas!! Then I have a date with a turtle because I have a crush on Crush. Okay not really...I just wanted to say that because I think I'm funny! But seriously Turtle Talk with Crush is like the best show ever! So we're going to go see that and let Landon chase the rays again! Then we'll ride some clam mobiles and explore the aquariums, etc. Then we have a dinner adr at the Coral Reef!! :woohoo:

After another yum dinner at CR, we'll head back to the WS at a more leisurely pace. Then we'll settle in some place nice for to watch some IllumiNations! I'm so excited...I didn't get to catch them last time! So that'll be fun!! Of course, Landon will dictate it. If he's not feeling it, then we'll leave. Fireworks aren't more important to me than my baby boy's happiness!! I'm hoping with the time difference though we'll be good! Because it'll feel like 7 to him...of course, the heat can make a huge difference though and still wear him out! So we'll see!

And that concludes Epcot day!!

Epcot Day sounds good! :thumbsup2 You can definitely get Mission Space FPs before you go to TT. The pavilions are right next to each other so it's not a far walk. I don't know if Soarin has a single rider line though. :confused3 I've never waited in the real line for that ride. I always FP it cause the line just seems really boring.

I read about the new resort last week! It sounds like it's going to be awesome. I wanna stay in a LK room!

Sounds like a great day! Soarin' doesn't have a single rider line (I think TT does though). Living with the Land doesn't take 45 minutes...Ellen's Energy Adventure does. That's why we haven't done it our last 2 trips (well, in Jan 09 it was closed for refurb). Living with the Land is very relaxing (some may say boring) and you get to ride through the greenhouse. I always like it and I've never had to wait in line for it.

Okay perfect!!! I'm so excited!! I think it seems boring too! But they do have games and stuff, don't they? They weren't on when I went through the normal line because it was a 5 minute wait!

You heard last week! Where have I been? I want to stay in a LK room too!! And then Cars next time...and then Little Mermaid for good measure!!

Oh I'll keep that in mind!!

Where is Living with the Land then? I think I just got Ellen's and the Land confused!! How long does that one take?

Great plans!
TT and M:S are right next to each other, so that'd work out well(:
I want to say Living with the land is... 20 minutes long, or around there. I'm not exactly sure

Just saw this thanks to FauntleroyFAN07!!

They are going to finally do the resort across the lake at Pop!!

I'm so staying here as soon as it opens!! Sounds incredible! I'll be sure to check out and see if there's any progress when I'm at Pop in August!!

I saw that a few days ago!
I WANT to stay there! Wait, no, I NEED to stay there!
I think it's a fabulous idea, because since we have 5 people in our family, and sometimes we need to stay at a value, that'd be the best option(:
And I totally want a Lion King room :goodvibes

HI, Kimmy. Looks like you have a great trip planned! I cannot believe how big Landon is getting.

I am loving the Toy Story theme. So cute. One of my all time favorites. I cannot wait for the third movie to coe out. YAY!

Oh, I voted for Tusker House, but only because you are doing Animal Kingdom on your last day, so I figured it would be easier for you. My other vote would go to Chef Mickeys. I thought the breakfast was really good and Landon would have a blast there.

I think they do have games but I never stood in the stand by line so I don't know what they are. :confused3 Even the fast pass line gets on my nerves cause you still end up having to wait 20 minutes sometimes!

Yeah, I saw a link posted to twitter from the DIS. I forwarded it to everyone in my office! :rotfl:

That would be a GREAT option for your family! I'm so excited for it!

Living with the Land is only about 20 minutes long. It's inside The Land pavillion on the ground level.

Okay that's where I thought it was!! Thank you!! I guess it's Ellen's I don't know where it is, but that's okay!!

Thanks Lynn!! I can't believe how big he is getting either!! It's so crazy!!

I'm so excited for the 3rd movie!! I like jump up and down with excitement every time I see a trailer! It's going to be so good!!

On our last day, our plane doesn't leave until a little later (like 3?) so we aren't going to any parks...so it is going to be Chef Mickey's! I'm so excited!!

I think they do have games but I never stood in the stand by line so I don't know what they are. :confused3 Even the fast pass line gets on my nerves cause you still end up having to wait 20 minutes sometimes!

Thanks!! I hate having to wait in a fp line!! It's lame!! And I personally wish that fast passers could bypass the little movies. I think they're nice to see once but I don't need them. I just want my ride!!

First off...how was everyone's weekend?? Mine was pretty fantastic. Dustin, Steph and I went with the middle school youth group to see Shrek 4. It was pretty dang good for a non-Disney movie! :rotfl: I enjoyed it. Then Sunday was church. They had these photo booths set up (went along with the message!) and so Landon and I got some cute pics. I will try to remember to scan them for you guys! But anyway...I realized how long Landon's hair was in these pictures. So then we went to get his hair cut!! And...my little boy is now rockin' a faux-hawk!! Oh. My. Gosh. It is soooooooooooo cute! I will definitely put pics up for y'all. Beware though...he'll steal your heart!! :rotfl2:

Back to your regularly scheduled ptr programing!!

Day number 5 is the day I may be the most excited for...

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS DAY!!:woohoo:

So I'm pretty much BEYOND excited for this day. I love every single thing about this park. I love the street performers and the rides and the shows. Okay, so I haven't seen the shows because I was too excited by everything else last time...but I bet I would like them. I love the entire atmosphere. OH and it just happens to have my most favoritest ride!! TOWER OF TERROR LOVE BABY!!!!!! But we'll get back to that romance in a few. ;)

So first, we're eating breakfast at Pop SUPER EARLY because I WILL BE at DHS for rope drop. Yes. And then...I'm sending someone off with Landon to get fp's for TSM. I'm sure that Steph and Dustin will LOOOOOVE this ride. When we use our fp's, I'll let them really play each other and I'll ride with Landon. Since I'll be going solo, he can do whatever he wants with the other thing. I'll still have to kinda keep him close so he's not sliding all over wazoo! And then I can feel good about myself and my score. Maybe we'll get lucky somehow and get to go twice! Then I'd make Dustin take him! :rotfl:

Anyway, so while someone is getting TSM fp's, I will be going with someone to try to make it to the Aerosmith concert on time!! RnRC baby!! I love this ride. It's basically amazing. But I could ride it once and be fine. Twice would be nice...but I don't need it like I need

TOWER OF TERROR!!!!!! This is where I will be scrambling over to next. I promise you, I will be freaking out with excitement. I will be skipping and twirling and singing and probably telling everyone how the love of my life is a haunted hotel. I'm thinking I'll probably drag Stephanie on this with me. And I'll ask to sit in the front and buy our picture. Now, I'm not going to mention this ride again...but you should all know that as soon as I am able to get a fp again, it's going to be for this ride. Maybe ONCE it'll be for RnRC...but most of the time for the entire day...it'll be for this. Also, it's going to be the last ride of the day and I'm going to go to the gift shop and buy the bath robes for me and lauren_elizabeth so we can ride it with the bathrobes on in December!! :cheer2:

After that, we'll probably be hungry and grab a little something from Starring Rolls for lunch. I love that place. Amazing food and most creative name ever. It makes me giggle a little every time.

Then it'll probably be Star Tours. The shows on our list of maybe watching are Indiana Jones, Lights! Motors! Action!, Beauty and the Beast, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I may take Landon to Playhouse Disney, since he didn't go last year and would probably enjoy it more this year anyway. Steph and Dustin could have some alone time while we did that and do whatever they want. They will meet me back there after though and we will all go rock the Animation Academy and do all the fun stuff in there!! I can't wait.

We'll also go through One Man's Dream at some point.

A few characters will be a HUGE deal here. Obviously...we HAVE to meet Buzz and Woody together in Andy's room. That goes without saying because we are a bunch of Toy Story crazed people. Like no joke. We already have plans to see TS3 at midnight. It'll be legit. I also want to go meet Mater and Lightning. I don't really know where they are though. Any pointers? Landon would love them. They are on his big boy bed and he always points to them and gets excited. I also want to meet Mike and Sulley SO BAD!!!!! I adore them. I don't know where they are either though. :confused3 SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Oh and whose excited for the Cars sequel in 2011 and the Monsters Inc one in 2012? THIS GIRL IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

So yeah...that's kind of just the stuff I want to do at DHS thrown haphazardly into a pile. If anyone has any pointers for making it work better, feel free to let me know. Y'all are the best!!

Woo hoo on the plans! I must stop in Starring Rolls sometime soon! (totally not rubbing it in that I will be there this week)

I do hope you beat Landon on TSM!

I want to see that faux-hawk picture--sounds too cute!

Your Epcot plans sounds awesome, too! Did you ride Malestorm last year? If you didn't, you should. I can't remember. If you did, and you didn't like it, then no biggie, but I think it's a fun little ride. Gran Fiesta Tour with Donald we'll ride, but I liked it better before they added the Three Amigos.

I can't wait for your Epcot Redo! You'll have so so much fun on the KP missions!

The Electric Umbrella: Ok, When you enter the park & take the left side of Spaceship Earth it's on the left just before you'd turn left to go to Test Track/Mission Space area. Is that clear as mud? Good.

mcqueen and mater are back by mama marosas, and sully and mike move around, last i found them across from sci fi

You are so excited, I love it! :rotfl: Plans for DHS day sound great, as usual! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to go on TSM again. I absolutely love that ride. I'm hoping we can get on it twice.

I didn't have an interest in Shrek 4 but Kris wants to see it so I think we may go this week. I liked the first two but didn't like the 3rd one at all. Hoping this one is better!

AHHH you are so lucky to be having Starring Rolls THIS WEEK!! I'm uber jealous. That's amazing. Get a butterfinger cupcake and let me know how it is! I'm pretty sure they could feed an entire small country for a month...and then give them diabetes. Haha. Jk. But they look good and quite...indulgent! I only went there for breakfast though! When are you thinking you'll swing by?

If I didn't beat Landon...I should just be banned from calling myself a Toy Story fan. :rotfl: I'll aim to have faux-hawk pics up tonight as a going away present for you!! ;)

I did like Maelstrom! I just wanted some Splash Mountian-esque drops. I'm an adrenline junkie and think scary drops would go great with the creepy feeling it has!! :rolleyes1

I hope you write your tr fast enough so I can hear about your kp missions. No pressure though...:3dglasses (don't know why I put that guy there, just felt like it.)

Your directions actually did make sense!! Thanks! Any opinions on if that's better than Sunshine Seasons or not?

mcqueen and mater are back by mama marosas, and sully and mike move around, last i found them across from sci fi

Thanks!! That helps a ton! I guess I will just have to ask for Mike and Sulley, I need to meet them though!! Love them!

Haha yeah...enthusiasm is something I have a huge abundance of. You should see me in real life. People always think I'm drunk and/or just consumed like 5 energy drinks. My enthusiasm is not natural.

I'm also hoping we could somehow get on TSM multiple times! I'm hoping I'm just lucky and CM's who have fp's for it feel like giving them to me every time! :rotfl:

I've never been crazy about any Shrek...they were good but not something I liked HAD to see. I thought this one was REALLY good though, but if you keep your expectations low. ;) It was funny and stuff but the story has been done. (Life is good but too routine, too much "pressure", want to go back to the way things were before when you were free...make a wish with catches, almost lose everything. Haha.) Almost everyone I saw it with also said they liked the first two but not the 3rd, but they also liked this one if that helps! I hope you enjoy it!

Love the HWS plans!
NO WAY, I didn't know Cars and Monsters Inc are going to have sequals! Now I'm excited!!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/apr/23/monsters-inc-2

There's not too much info about it anywhere, especially the Monsters Inc sequel because it's so far away (Nov. 2012) but it's definitely in development!! I actually found out about Cars 2 on here, because someone took a pic of a poster for it in the Animation Academy building in DHS!!! That'll be in June 2011 I think! I'm so excited too!!

Since this is my Toy Story themed ptr, I thought that called for a Toy Story post!!

I already have plans to go see it TWICE! Haha. And yes, one of those times is at midnight!!! I get so excited every time I see a trailer and they are becoming more and more frequent which is just amazing. Landon and I eat Toy Story mac-and-cheese pretty frequently, he has awesome Toy Story jammies...we just LOVE our Toy Story!!

Are any of you guys as obsessed as I with the greatest movie series ever? Any great plans? Since I don't know any of y'all in real life, I'll share the awesome shirt idea Steph and I are doing. ;) She is going to have a shirt with Buzz and I'm going to have one with Woody and both our shirts are going to say "I Found My Moving Buddy!" :rotfl: I thought it was so clever!! I'm so excited!!

Here are some trivia facts from the first movie for y'all, taken from the Internet Movie Database!

TS:
-The animation team perfected the movement of the toy soldiers by gluing some sneakers to a sheet of wood and trying to walk around with them on.
-Sid Phillips is said to be inspired by a former Pixar employee of the same last name who was known to disassemble toys and use the parts to build bizarre creations.
-Whenever a character's eyes blink, they never blink together, but one at a time. (Hmm never noticed that...will look closely next time!)
-Billy Crystal was originally offered the chance to voice Buzz Lightyear, but declined. After seeing the finished film, he said the decision was the biggest mistake of his career. Upon learning this, Pixar offered Crystal the role of Mike in Monsters, Inc. (2001), which he readily accepted
-Pizza Planet was originally Pizza Putt, a combination pizzeria/mini-golf course.
-When the soldiers are watching the pile of presents disappear during the birthday party, two silhouette pictures can be seen on the wall. These pictures are available at Walt Disney parks worldwide, and are cut freehand, with no prior sketchwork, using nothing but paper and scissors by the park's employees. (Thought y'all would like this one!
-Early scripts for the film featured a Barbie Doll in a prominent role as Woody's love interest. The original ending sequence, in which Buzz and Woody chase the moving truck, was scripted to have Barbie drive her Corvette off the truck and rescue Woody and Buzz from Sid's dog, a-la Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). Mattel, the company that owns the Barbie character, declined on the basis that they thought the film would be a failure and that they didn't want Barbie to have a defined personality, preferring to let children imagine Barbie's personality traits on their own. Thus, Barbie was dropped from the script, and her character was reworked into that of Bo-Peep. When the film proved a huge success, Mattel did allow Barbie to appear in Toy Story 2 (1999). (Can't wait for the Barbie and Ken romance is TS3!! "Nice ascot!")
-When Sid receives his new rocket, the box it comes in is labeled "Ill Eagle", or "Illegal".

TS2:
-The dust in the scene where Woody meets Wheezy set a record for number of particles animated for a movie by computer. (haha...awesome!! What a record to set!)
-The Life Magazine issue with Woody and Bullseye on the cover is dated January 12th, 1957. This is director John Lasseter's birthday.
-The box that Zurg comes out of in Al's Toy Barn has "Printed in Point Richmond" written on it. Pixar's offices were in Point Richmond in Richmond, California when the movie was made.
-When Al hangs up the phone with the Japanese investor, he says "Don't touch my mustache." This refers to an English mnemonic for the Japanese phrase meaning "You're welcome": "Dou itashima****e."
-When Jessie (Joan Cusack) first meets Woody (Tom Hanks), she exclaims, "Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln!" Abraham Lincoln's mother was Nancy Hanks, a blood relative of Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks is a direct descendant of an uncle of Nancy Hanks.
-In Al's office, there is an abstracted version of a shot from A Bug's Life (1998). The shot was reputedly abstracted to prevent people from identifying the shot until they got the video version and looked hard at it.
-In the scene with Rex in the car in Al's Toy Barn holding the How to Defeat Zurg book, at 45:17 into the movie, there is one frame where we see a clear glimpse of the bottom corner of the book. As a lighthearted jab at Canadians the cover price is shown as $4.95 and $50.00 in Canada. It should be about $6.95. ( this for all my Canadian friends out there! That means you Lessa!)
-When the toys are playing cards during Woody's nightmare after being "shelved," all the cards are the ace of spades. In fortune telling, the ace of spades represents death.
-For the scene where Woody looks at the merchandise from Woody's Roundup, mock-ups of the toys were shown to Tom Hanks in the recording booth. Hanks' spontaneous reactions to the toys were recorded and used for Woody's dialogue.
-While driving around Al's Toy Barn, the gang drives down the Buzz Lightyear aisle. Tour Guide Barbie tells them "back in 1995 short-sighted retailers did not order enough dolls to meet demand". This is an in-joke and a fact: When the original Toy Story was released in 1995, toy sellers did not think the movie would be a hit and they indeed did not order enough dolls to keep up with demand.

TS3 (Don't worry...no spoilers here!)
-Lee Unkrich who edited the previous films and co-directed the second, takes over as director.
-Originally, a sequel was planned when it seemed that Disney and PIXAR would split over creative differences in 2004-2005. Disney started up an animation division titled 'Circle 7,' which would have been in charge of churning out sequels for PIXAR films that would not involve the original creators at PIXAR. Entertainment Weekly published an article that said the original plot for Toy Story 3 was going to be about Buzz Lightyear having a defect. Buzz would then be shipped to Taiwan to be fixed, but the other toys find out that the toy company is just replacing the broken Buzz toys with new ones, so they ship themselves to Taiwan to rescue him. This script had to be canned when PIXAR and Disney made amends. Part of their agreement was not to further develop projects that had been planned during their fallout.
-The Ken doll in Toy Story 3 is modeled after "Animal Lovin" Ken from 1988.

Random:
-Lightning McQueen's original number was to be 57, director John Lasseter's birth year. It was later changed to 95 to represent the year that Toy Story (1995) was released.

SO YAY!!! Less than one month until I am a super incredibly happy princess!! (Not that I'm not now...but you know...)

Love all the TS trivia!!!! I cannot wait for the movie to come out. YAY for being less than a month away!
