There's just no compelling reason for a school to deny a child a soda at lunch

The teachers have to be notified if DS has a peanut-butter sandwich because another child has a severe allergy. Now that's a "compelling reason" to limit a kid's lunch from home, IMHO. Anybody allergic to somebody else's pop?

Yes, I should clarify. He can have the sandwich. DH needs to tell the teacher he has it so the other kid will sit at a different table. I was trying to parody the previous post. Sorry.
