I can't get through to Member Svcs--What's up?

I am not sure your statement is true. There was a past post and MANY MANY DVC Members wanted online booking.


But consider the members that were responding. They are members and posters to a Disney fansite, which in itself implies access to and familiarity with the internet. There may be more people than we know of that have no access, or choose not to have access. My next door neighbor has a computer, doesn't want internet and we have Cable and dial-up services in our area (no DSL yet.) All the warnings of viruses, hackers, identity theft, have left some people terrified of the internet. Some folks don't trust secure encoded https sites, etc.
 
I would like the ability to do online reservations, but not until DVC can offer a robust and reliable system!

Given the many legitimate complaints about the existing site (which is much, much simpler to do than a reservation system), I am afraid DVC is not capable of giving us a viable online reservation system in near future.

FWIW, I do not find the current system of day by day reservations to be "ridiculous". Other than a lottery, it is the only way I can think of that gives every owner the same opportunity to reserve a particular unit on a particular day.

We're at the 11-month window for the December Adventure season bookings. Should get better in a day or two.

Also, folks get back from winter holidays with family having made vacation plans for the next year.
