I really need to go to sleep since I have to work this evening, but I'm not sleepy.

Lime-green DIS(business) cards.

When you meet someone at DISCon and would like to keep in touch, it's hard to fine a pen and paper to copy their name and email or address down. And then it might get lost as a scrap of paper...lol.

Last year, Barb had this business card that she handed to me when with her name and address and I think e-mail address.

I think that you might be able to do this on your computers.

I wonder if they make lime green cards...lol.

You could put your DIS name, and your first name and or address. You could put the DIS address, such as www.wdwinfo.com and www.DISboards.com and write D.I.S. stands for Disney Information Station.(Sometimes strangers think that DIS means dissing or they have no idea what it means).

Or on another card or the same card you could add yor address or something if you wanted to keep intact with that DISer.

Jdubbs was talking about not liking the idea about wearing a limegreen ribbon. I don't particularly like it either and no one really noticed mine...lol.

But just about everyone wears a pin lanyard to trade WDW pins with castmembers.(I wear a lanyard at work with an I.D. pass.) And many of them have a large lanminated card that can be attached to the whistle holder thingie for lack of a better word.

If I could, I'd wear a wider, lime-green lanyard to wear just at WDW to be noticed. This way I wouldn't have to to look all over someone's body, backback, fannypack, or badshoes...lol...to see that limegreen ribbon.

Then a limegreen laminated card(~3" wide and ~5" long) attached at the bottom of the lanyard.

In bold, one inch letters it could say "DIS".

Below that in very small letters, "Disney Information Station"

Below that "www.wdwinfo.com" and below that "www.DISboards.com".

Below that in half inch letters my DIS name written exactly as your would write it on the DIS boards.

And finally, below that; in 1/3 inch letters my real first name.

O.K., I need to go to sleep soon...lol.

Ray, sweetie, I think you have the inspiration :)

As always you come up with a cracking idea ;)

Weird but this is the second time this has been posted ;).

Just a quick note as I wrote in the last thread

Not to be a kill joy but the website is privately owned so before anyone goes out and starts doing this lets make sure its ok with the Boss Man.

O.K....O.K....O.K....Mr. Jaypd. First you ask me to buy you a brand new (short) WDW Cruise Jacket, then you want 50% of the profit from these I.D.'s. Now what do you want? You promised that you would fix everything so that we could make these I.D.'s. I suppose now you want a 60% cut and a ECV for DATW...lol....j/k.

Rau :)

Ray..you have given me a great idea! I will have my cell phone with me and I am going to make cards up with the number so we can keep in touch in the parks!

mine will have to be Leopard spotted of course

The cards I made up last year were just "business" cards I printed with my address, phone number, and, I think, email. I think I may have added my DIS name. They were simply for me to hand out to my new friends, so we could stay in touch. :) :)
I like the cell phone number idea. I may have to print out new ones and add the cell number to the information. :teeth:

real cute one off the net, no leopards but something just a cute and Safari .

I put my DIS name, real name
address, e-mail and cell phone, I figure I can use them in real life too, I'll just tell people to ignore the poopie part. ;) Great idea thanks for sharing. I just thought of something else I often meet people on vacations who I exchange infor with it will work for that too.

Hey... that's a good idea.

I wonder if next year something like that could be included for paying attendees. I know when I go to a professional convention, they always include a sheet or two of stickers with our name, address, etc on it so we can stick them on all the forms the vendors want us to fill out.

So simple and yet so useful :)

Or...you could have a small empty address book, or make one yourself out of a small memo notebook, and you could put the stickers in there.

That is, of course, if the attendees bring address labels with them. :p

I must have 2 zillion address labels, I am always getting them in the mail from one charity or another (yes, I donate, too). I might buy blank cards (less $$$), and stick them on and just write my email and dis name. You all never cease to amaze me with your ideas.

OK, I just printed up my name, DIS name, email address and cell phone #, of course with a photo of the Dolphin as background :teeth: on business cards to hand out :)

YooHoo Pandy and poopie :teeth: Where did you guys do these??? What site did you use? :)

TIA

Tia...no site, just photo software in my computer, printed on business card forms with own printer. Nothing fancy, trust me ;)

I did the same thing. Well, I had my son do the same thing. ;) We went to Staples and got their already to go business cards and printed the info right on them. I'll be making up new ones with updated information and I'm adding my cell number. :teeth:

Really? Cool! I'll try that. Thanks ladies. :)
