Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit Part 2 (Don't miss part 1 on the previous page)

Still not my highest score but pretty darn good. Someday I will finally break the 200,000 mark.

I was hungry at this point and I was craving pizza so off to Pizza Planet I went. I got my usual here which is cheese pizza.

I got both a soda and a glass of ice water so I could stay hydrated.

The pizza came with a Caesar Salad which I did not touch.

And for dessert, a chocolate chip cookie.

The pizza was good as always. I’m really hoping they keep the same kind when the restaurant reopens and don’t switch to the nasty stuff they now serve at Pizzafari.

I had a third FP+ made for Disney Junior but I really wasn’t feeling it that day. The only reason I had made the FP was because I had never seen the show. While I was eating I hopped onto the MDE app and changed it to the next Frozen show. I was able to head straight there after my lunch.

This was the first time I had seen it in the new theater. They had some pretty funny “informational” videos on the TVs in the waiting area.

I’m not sure that the FP did a whole lot for me. I was let into the preshow area before everyone else but there wasn’t a separate line like the old theater had. Everyone from the standby line was let into the preshow area right behind the FP people. Here’s where I ended up sitting.

And a few pictures from the show.

I didn’t have any concrete plans for the afternoon so when the show was over I took a few minutes to decide where to head next. And I think I will leave that tale for the next update.

Love it.. I just adore the Sully PP picture!!! and MIKE! he is just so flipping cute!!
My next trip I am determined to beat you! HA HA HA just kidding. that was the best score i had in forever <-- see what i did there? LOL..

Pizza.. Disney does not have pizza.. that's dough with cheese!

Cute pictures with Mickey!

What cool PP pictures with Mike & Sulley photobombing!

Glad you got to spend time in One Man's Dream and see the Frozen show!

Wow those people had to have been hot in those things. I don't think I would wear those things at Disney lol.

Great pictures with Mickey! I enjoyed the meet and greet with him.

Nice Mickey and Sulley photos as well!

Pizza planet is gone but the new place will be muppets themed and still serve pizza. I haven't heard if the menus will changes much other than that.

I need to do the frozen sing a long at some point.

Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit!

AWW! I miss this show, it was cute. I was not fond of it's replacement - Food Rocks! with the "Food Wrapper" (Tone Loc) that was outdated pretty much right after it came out.

I really enjoyed seeing all the displays in the One Man's Dream attraction. Is that still there? Or is it one of the casualties of the changes at HS?

Nice that you were able to book a last minute FP for Frozen, too bad it really doesn't get you much of an advantage in the new place, though (I saw it in the old theater)

I've only eaten at Pizza Planet once and it was pretty disappointing--we did like Pizzafari on previous trips, but when I saw the pics you posted of the "new" pizza they're serving, I'd say we've made our last visit there!! Maybe I should give Pizza Planet another try...if it's still around. I thought I read some rumor the other day that it might be gone for good rather than relocated after construction.

I know, those were some of my favorite PP from the trip!

Ha! You know how competitive I am so I doubt that will happen.

I'm not really a pizza snob and I really liked the pizza they served at Pizza Planet and Pizzafari. Now that they changed it at Pizzafari I don't like it at all! I have a bad feeling that the new Muppets pizza place will have the new nasty kind.

I love those Monster's Inc PP pictures. I'm so glad they've added some different ones recently.

Maybe in last December/early January you could get away with those onesies but I don't know how they were standing them on that day!

I did see that they it was going to be a Muppets themed pizza place. They changed the pizza at Pizzafari after it was closed for renovations so I have a bad feeling they will change it at the new restaurant too.

Yes, you definitely need to make time for the Frozen sing a long! It's an awesome show.

I love the MOnsters Inc. pictures. So cute!

I know, so cute! So happy they have added some different magic shots.

I don't think I ever saw Food Rocks. Or maybe I did and just don't remember? I had a long 12 year gap at one point between trips.

As far as I know, One Man's Dream is not going anywhere. It's closing for about a week in July for renovations so that tells me they are keeping it for now.

I've seen it twice now in each theater and the new one is definitely nicer other than the FP situation. I don't think the show is quite a popular as it was at first so FP really isn't needed unless it's super crowded.

I liked both Pizza Planet and Pizzafari and the pizza seemed very similar to me at both locations. But that new stuff at Pizzafari was nasty and I have a bad feeling they will use that kind at the new pizza joint. The rumor right now is that it's supposed to reopen as a Muppet's themed pizza place called Pizza Rizzos.

Scrambling to Change Plans After Some Unhappy News Part 1

I thought it would be fun to see what FP+ were left to grab as a 4th. I wasn’t sure where the FP+ kiosks were as they move around a bit. I knew there used to be one near the hat so I wandered around there a bit and didn’t find one. I guess it went bye bye along with the hat. I finally found one right outside of TSM and was able to make a 4th FP for Fantasmic that night. I wasn’t even sure if I would use it but there really wasn’t much else available.

I continued to wander a bit more and ended up back at Watto’s Gratto for another look. I took a grand total of one photo while in the store.

Then I spent some time wandering through the Streets of America since they would be going away before too long.

I found a PP photographer and stopped for some pictures.

I continued to explore and found the Village Pizza Parlor and Lady and Tramp’s table right outside of it.

I checked on the times guide and realized there was a Beauty and the Beast show starting fairly soon so I decided to head that way. I hadn’t seen that show during this trip yet. As I was walking there, I realized I had a message from Mo. We hadn’t really planned on meeting up today, I think they were doing a pool day, but she had mentioned that they might hop over to HS in the evening to meet up. I stepped off to the side near the GMR to see what her message said. Unfortunately it was the worse news ever. Their dog sitter had had a family emergency so Mo and the Gang were going to have to cut their trip short. We had an O’hana ADR together the next morning that I had made that they would not be able to come to now. So instead of heading to B&TB, I made my way down to Guest Services to cancel the ADR.

I waited a bit in line and then was helped by a wonderful CM. She immediately cancelled the ADR and waived all fees. She then tried to get me an ADR for 1 at O’hana. She was determined and tried a few times but there was nothing. I was actually OK with that as I was not all that anxious to do another character meal by myself. But I did need another ADR to finish out my credits so she started looking at other options for me. Probably because I was right there in HS, Sci Fi popped into my head and there was a 12:45 pm ADR available! She booked it for me and I quickly rearranged the following day in my head to accommodate the ADR. I’ll get into all of that when I start the final day.

I headed back out and sent a message to Mo letting her know everything was taken care of. She had been worried that I would be charged a fee for cancelling. I felt really bad for them having to cut their trip short. If only we had known that the meal the night before would be our last time together!

I had missed the B&TB show by the time I finished at Guest Services to I headed towards Little Mermaid instead. First though I stalked the Launch Bay area for a few minutes. There were rumors that there might be some soft openings that week but I never saw anything.

I walked straight into the next Little Mermaid show. I was seated far to the right but I could still see everything fine.

I still had some time before my dinner ADR which was at 4:50 pm at Mama Melrose so I found a bench and called Jim to talk for a bit. Then I decided to go see the Muppets for a second time.

After that I browsed through the stores in that area until it was time to check in at Mama Melrose.

I noticed the window above the entrance for the first time. I wonder if there is some significance to it?

I was seated fairly quickly and my waiter brought me some bread sticks.

I asked if they had bottled water included with the dining plan and my waiter brought me this huge bottle.

Scrambling to Change Plans After Some Unhappy News Part 2

I filled up my glass three times and still didn’t finish it all! Around this time my Mom called. She know I was at Mama Melrose because I e-mailed her a copy of my schedule. MM is kind of our restaurant. We eat there every trip and it’s our way of celebrating my Dad who passed away in 2007. Needless to say, we have a reservation here in December. We talked for a few minutes then I had to hang up when my meal came. I ordered the same thing I get every time, the Penne Pasta with Chicken.

It was delicious as always, I’ve never had a bad meal at MM. For dessert I went with chocolate gelato.

I had made my ADR at MM for fairly early so that I could make it to Fantasmic. Dinner had been pretty quick though so I also had time to see the lighting of the Osborne Lights once again. It would be cutting it super close to make my Fantasmic FP but I figured being by myself I could do it. I stationed myself towards the exit of the Streets of America so I could get out quickly and waited. For some reason, there was no Snope on this night but the lights were of course beautiful.

The Paris terrorist attacks had happened at the beginning of the week and I was happy to see Disney showing support for France.

I watched through one cycle of dancing then turned and booked it out of there and towards the Fantasmic theater. I did some pretty fancy dipping and dodging and made it with plenty of time to spare. I had a pretty good seat a little to the left of center. I chose to sit near the top so that I could avoid any water spray plus I was planning on heading back to the lights for a bit before the park closed.

I never get very good pictures at Fantasmic, my camera is pretty good but it doesn’t do well over long distances in the dark. But I will share some with you any ways.

I'm sorry to hear Mo and her family had to cut the trip short :(

I'm glad the CM at Guest Services was able to help you with your ADR situation!

Sounds like a good meal at Mama Melrose! And as always, love seeing pics of the Osborne Lights!

Glad you made it to Fantasmic in time!

Wow that really sucks that they had to cut their trip short. I hope everything worked out for them. I'm glad you had a good experience with the CM at guest services too. She seeme like she was trying to make your experience great which is what every CM should doff they aren't.

Great photos on the Streets of America!

I've only tried to get a 4th FP once and that was at Epcot there was not much left there either. I'm interested to try it now that you can do it all on your phone.

I've never done mama melrose. It looks like you had a good meal though.

The Osborne lights are awesome. I'm so glad I got to see them this year for the first and last time.

I've never done a FP for a show or fireworks how was the fantasmic seating for FP? Great pics of the show!

im not going to comment on the we left thing until i am done with my report...

BUT i think your photo's came out AWESOME!

Still have never tried Mama Melrose! one of these years we will get there. It's sweet you guys do in memory of your Dad.

STILL so sad they aren't going to have the lights any longer!! BOOOOOOOOO

well enough of all this. I need to go and finish or find my edited pictures to get my tr over.

Just realized I had not posted on your TR yet. I found you from Mo's! So even though late...

Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit!

This was one of my FAVORITES! I miss this. My kids just look at me funny when I start singing "Veggie, veggie, fruit fruit, veggie, fruit fruit" EVERY time we enter The Land. lol. This was the first attraction I did on my very first trip to the World!

I noticed the window above the entrance for the first time. I wonder if there is some significance to it?

I had noticed those too when we went there to eat for our December 2014 trip. I did some searching and only thing I could find was the back story of the restaurant its' self.

Have you done the Fantasmic! diner package here? Only mention it because you do the dining plan and it is still only 1 TS (or at least it was when we did it) credit for the Fantasmic! diner package here and you get an appetizer in addition to the great seats for the show and the normal that you get on the dining plan! My husband loved the appetizers here and thought it was one of the best restaurants we went to.

We've never eaten at Mama Melrose either!! We tried once when we were at WDW on our Babymoon :) but that's the last trip we went on without making ADRs because we just kept on ending up at Casey's and Cosmic Ray's!!

I'm very late joining in but I just read your entire post so far and I am loving it. Thanks for sharing.

I was really upset for them.

I was so grateful to the CM at Guest Services. She definitely went out of her way to help me.

MM has always been a good meal for me!

I've gotten 4th FPs a lot at MK but this was the first time I've tried at HS. I did try at Epcot once and there was nothing. I'm excited to be able to do it from my phone in December.

I've had quite a few great meals at MM. You should try it if you get a chance.

The lights were awesome. More pictures coming up in the next post!

The FP seating wasn't bad at all. It was just a little off center. I could have gotten closer to the bottom but I chose to sit near the top.

im not going to comment on the we left thing until i am done with my report...

Totally understand.

You definitely need to try MM when you get a chance, it's good! We celebrated what would have been my Dad's birthday there in 2010 and it just became a tradition to eat there in his honor.

Me too, I'm going to really miss those lights this year.

Hi and welcome! So glad you joined in.

I do miss some of the older rides that are gone. I really want them to make a 5th park and bring back all the old rides and shows that are gone.

Thank you so much for the MM information. It was really interesting to read and I passed it on to my Mom.

I had no idea that the Fantasmic packages are only 1 credit. I thought for sure they were two. I did look and there is nothing available now since it's well past our 180 mark. I may have to keep checking and hope someone cancels.

We've never eaten at Mama Melrose either!! We tried once when we were at WDW on our Babymoon :) but that's the last trip we went on without making ADRs because we just kept on ending up at Casey's and Cosmic Ray's!!

Yeah, it's hard to get in many of the restaurants without ADRs! MM is pretty popular and books up fast. Definitely give it a try sometime.

I'm very late joining in but I just read your entire post so far and I am loving it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for joining in! Glad you are enjoying it.

There Aren’t Supposed to Be Sad Tears at Disney Part 1

After Fantasmic was over, I joined the crowds making their way back to the Osborne Lights. I wasn’t the only one who had that idea so it was slow going. But it gave me time to take pictures!

I finally made it onto the main street and it was packed!

I found the Lady and the Tramp table again.

I waited in line at the end of the side street and got some PP pictures.

Heading back up that street while taking more pictures.

There Aren’t Supposed to Be Sad Tears at Disney Part 2

The park closed at 8:30 pm on this night and I planned on heading out around that time. But the lights were still on and I couldn’t make myself leave. I was a bit of a mess all night. One thing to know about me is that I rarely cry sad tears. I’ve always been that way for some reason. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel but for some reason I just don’t cry sad tears. You are more likely to see me tear up at happy stuff. But on this night I was on the verge of sad tears for most of the evening. I think it was a combination of a few different things. First of all I was very tired. After all it was day 8 and I had been going non-stop all week. Plus I was missing both my Mom and Dad after talking to Mom earlier that night. And I was sad for Mo and her family since they had to end their trip early. Then on top of all that was the fact that I was seeing the Osborne Lights for the last time.

I continued walking and taking pictures for a while.

Eventually I found a curb and sat for a long time just watching the lights dance. There was a lot of other people doing the same. Finally a little after 9 pm I headed out of the park taking pictures as I walked.

On the way back through the ASMu lobby, I stopped to make a pressed quarter that I had seen earlier in the week.

I was back in my room and in bed by 11 pm. I traded for three pins during the day. One thing I totally forgot to mention was the pin book at Guest Services. While I was changing up ADRs, I saw a CM with a pin book showing it to some other guests. So I walked over and looked through the book when I was done. That’s where I got the Clara Cluck pin.

More great Osborne Lights pics! I love the one you got of the wreath with the little stuffed Jack Skellington in it!

Aww I don't blame you for being overwhelmed with sad feelings :( I'm sorry you were feeling down.
